I fold the edges of the cone filters too I’ve never seen anybody else do that before! Definitely makes it sit in the basket a lot nicer. Wonderful video as always 💜
Believe it or not if you read the Melitta instructions for there cone filters they tell you to fold the filter at the side and bottom seam. Mr just a dad only started doing this recently, he used to just jam the filter in the filter basket.
@@walterconrad887 lol yeah I actually noticed very recently that it says right on the side to fold it
JAD reviews are getting better and more refined. Nice work and as always you rocked the review
I have this paired with the Baratza encore esp .. and it's been solid. I got it on sale as it's a lot of money... I wish it was more competitive but both the alternatives the Breville precision and Mocamaster are on the same price range.
Just A Dad, I really enjoy your videos…they are so relaxing and I enjoy seeing your dog waiting for a treat! That is precious. What are your thoughts on the Cuisinart coffee maker sold at Costco?
So glad you reviewed this unit, I have been happy with my unit for three past few months looking forward to what you think!
Paid $250 for the unit as well and coming from a Braun cheaper unit it is worth the money .. I stocked up on the Melitta #4 filters on Amazon, best price I could find... I did my first descale using Durgol... Wonder if you have any thoughts on Vinegar vs a liquid scaler? I called Wolf and they said it has an Aluminum boiler.
Fantastic!
I would just stick with Vinegar,
@@JustADad Does it work thou? Seeing mixed comments on vids testing vinegar and how effective it is.
The descaler has a 20 min cycle is that enough for the vinegar to work .. not sure... Anyways I am glad it comes with five year warranty but I hope it's the last coffee machine I will buy.
I have had my Wolf Coffee Maker for ~5 years and use a famous brand water from Maine that I purchase from the Big Box Store and bypass the whole filter thing. You are 100% correct in that for a $600 Coffee Maker the Carafe is Okay at best. My BEEF is with the Carafe which DRIPS coffee on the counter no matter how carefully you try to pour the coffee and the coffee stays hot for 30--40 minutes and is noticeably less hot. My old Miele drip machine (from the 80's-90's) had a carafe that was incredible and kept coffee steaming hot when I came home from work at night from 7am that morning when I'd go to clean and prep it for the next morning. You'd think Wolf could easily replicate that technology. That aside, I crank the temperature high (190 degrees) as I like my coffee piping hot and the Wolf machine obliges. My wife goes to HomeGoods like it is her second home- I wish she had found the Coffee Maker there - THAT WAS A STEAL!!!
I just received this awesome coffee maker for Christmas!! ♥
Hope you enjoy it!
This thing makes a really good cup of coffee!!!
Oooo you tried out a Wolf. Fancy 👍👍👍
I know right! This will be a free give away on my FaceBook Page See My Facebook Group Page facebook.com/groups/1221340415226485/
Wow that will be one lucky person!
I’m so excited to buy your coffee !❤🥰
Just got mine and the display doesn't show the # of cups, strength, etc when I turn the knob to Accu-Brew.... If I slightly turn it between Manual and Accu-Brew, it shows on the display.... Guessing this is a manuf defect and just have to return. If you know a quick fix, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:) Great video BTW.
nice looking coffee maker but sucks how much there is with this hefty machine, can you do a comparison video with this one and a ratio six coffee maker? or simply good coffee maker
Are you finding that your Just a Dad coffee tastes light years better than Dunkin and other off the shelf coffees? Great coffee maker too. But waaaaay out of my budget.
Yes My coffee is fresh bean so that really helps. I am excited for everyone to try it!!!
Have you tried the manual mode with 1tbl spoon for each cup brewed with this coffee maker ?
Awesome review!
Thanks!
@JustADad no problem you're the king of coffee especially iced coffee!
It better taste good for costing $577 ! I'll stick with my $60 Black & Decker.
😄😄😄
That’s a little to much for me to make a pot of coffee 😂
It is but keep an eye out on sales .. it's a premium product and would love to see it head to head between the Breville and Mocamaster.
Very nice
Just letting you know, you wrote sale in the title, instead of scale 😊
Thanks. I will change that
יום אחד יהיה לי את מכונת הקפה הזו
The problem with all these machines is the over use of plastic and the microplastics that get into the coffee, which we now know are deleterious to health. This is especially true when hot water meets plastic. Do you know if the shower head is plastic or metal? If it's plastic, I won't buy it. At $600 I would expect it to be metal.
I think that it’s ridiculous for the price range for the machine to not decipher the specific amount of water based on how many cups are selected. Instead you have fill the reservoir to a specific amount.
Yea it should be able to do that itself
You have to do a tiny pinch of salt. Try again.
I did it just did not seem to work for me sorry.
I for got to tell you I use sea salt. You may want to try it . Sorry
Liked it until saw made in China.
Nice but I will stick with my Ninja 14 cup coffee maker. Great video thanks.
Fair enough!
It's this Really made in CHINA ??
