Thank you so much for your excellent video, with no luck I have been searching ,watched many videos to find how to trim a standard lantana till today, You are the first to mention the "Cambrium". I am zone 6a & this is my second yr I've wintered over sucessfully my standard. I've always wondered how far back i could cut, & i FINALLY got my answer, THANK YOU!!!! Fyi, I instantly subscribed!😊
Mrs Huff is probably the best cold hardy cultivar. Yes, adding a layer of insulation would help hold ground temps and increase the probability of your lantana coming back. WDE!!
Thank you, this helped a bunch. Im in southwest Georgia and planted lantanas last Spring, they are sticks now and i knew i should have pruned them but didn't, now its spring and they're trying to grow back, i can see the green coming through. Should i stll prune the sticks at this point??
I'm in North Alabama so it was nice to find your channel

Thanks for this information! I’m in South Carolina can I prune my lantana now in January?
Yes, go ahead and prune them back.
Live in Mo can I plant full sun?
Hot weather?
Yes!! But that far north it's going to be an annual. I'm guessing you are going to be somewhere around zone 6.

You can still prune and be ok. Just don't go past where you see buds forming. Leave 3-4 sets of buds on each limb.
@@Dr.Warren thank you, I'm enjoying your content 😊
What about us in warmer locations? My lantana are green year round and already blooming in March. Am I too late?
No, you can go ahead and prune. I would just focus on removing "leggy" branches to give it a more bush shape appearance.
I can't find out if the Hot Blooded Lantana is a medium size or what? Does it grow the same size as the Dallas Red lantana?
Dallas red will get a little taller and wider and might be a perennial in zone 8. Hot blooded is only perennial in zone 10-11
I’m growing my first lantana, it has grown very unevenly. How can I even it out? Thanks
I would just trim back the longer branches back into the "body" if that makes sense.
Wtf i just got an 11 min add on this vdo ☹️🙁
Whoa! I don't set the ads. That's a RUclips thing
