@@tbarnesout Appreciate that TB. I think it is the sickest chassis (no body) I have seen, minus maybe the DUV coming close. Thanks so much for coming to the premiere as well! I need to do that more often, the live chat was a blast.
@@bcochenerof course man. Yeah I 100% agree on the chassis. The design of it just flows. You’re going to love running it too, crazy what it can do. Yeah on the premiere I was watching but not going to lie I didn’t find out about the live chat until after the video ended and I took it out of full screen. 😂😂
I've had my hardpark vdub bug since they released them, I absolutely love it. It's my most capable rig out of ten scx24s I have from ackers gecko chassis to a texoma slayer chassis and everything in-between.
Wow, that is pretty high praises right there! Loved the build experience and uniqueness of it. I’ll have to compare it to some of my most capable ones, but I think you’re right…
HOLY SHINTO!!!!!!! How did I miss this video!!!! That is one of my all time favourite builds anywhere!!!! You just have such a talent for putting parts together. Not just aesthetically but so super cleanly! blown away by those KTech parts. Fantastic anodizing! (I'm an 80's/early 90's mountain biker and an unabashed annodized parts whore!) LOL! And that bug chassis is so nice! Love your builds, but being up here in Canada, it's depressing too as it's not feasible to buy stuff from these makers in the States. 😥 Dare to dream!
Hey man, long time! Thanks so much for the kind words. This little bug really impressed me with the build. If you’re digging the K-Tech stuff, I used more on my Roo build. Hope you had a good Holiday, cheers!
Wow great build man! Looks amazing with the clean wire management and color match. Really liking this dementor chassis, think its going to be my next project.
One more thing I would recommend if you put a little touch with super glue around those little pieces of brass in the skid plate cuz they do come loose but I am quite rough on my stuff
Oh yeah that thing it’s gonna climb walls. I did have a video request because I haven’t seen anybody post but with the hardbody crawler co FJ. Are you able to take off the doors, roof, side windows and run it as a sort of soft top. Minus the soft tip?
Heck yeah it is! Thanks! -and oh yeah, the doors, upper back half & roof are removable. Some guys I have seen build the rear tube roll cage for it. Looks sick.
The looks are what drove me to it as well. But now after building 2 HP Dementors, I would still build the third type. They are that good of a kit. Great stuff from HP! Cheers!
@@bcochener good to know. I geek out on building as scale as possible with my rigs and never found a reason to build a comp rig as I don’t really do comps but I want to build this rig now lol. I also want to build a bouncer buggy as that shits fun in the 1:1 world.
@@CiRCuit-Breakers-RC I’ve got the new LGRP comp frame and R-Factor body/cage kit for it. Looking forward to that one. Really enjoyed the LGRP Ripper build. Super scale. This new one looks promising…
@@bcochener if it's not too much trouble, exactly how do you punch the tires? Diameter punch, how many holes per tire, best hole location and does it degrade the tires in any way? THX AGAIN!!
@@DavidTaylor-qx9ii I use a rotary punch tool set on the smallest diameter. I do 2 holes on the tread, opposite of each other on the wheel. Doesn’t degrade the tire. If you get water in them and don’t get it out, it could degrade foams. That’s why the 2 holes, helps expel dirt and water.

Can you tell me the exact length of your upper and lower links? Please I bought a dementor kit but I can’t get the front to work. Seems like the upper links are way too short. I look at your build and I can’t get the same holes to work🤦🏻♂️
@@bcochener yep that’s what I got as far as the servo mount. As far as links…. Uppers are 40, and lower 58…. Chad tells me that’s right, but it doesn’t work. Awesome, now if that was actually available for sale. Everytime i look at their website almost everything is "sold out".
Had a big drop last Saturday. Seems HP generally restocks on Saturdays, so keep checking.
Approximately how much did the hole rig cost?
I don’t keep track, but just roughly adding the parts up & both sets of wheels, probably north of 5.
