Are we just going to ignore the Patamon being played out after being checked in security at 10:50? Am I missing something here? That card doesnt have a security effect.
@@ClubbingSealCub That's incorrect mate, I had it reviewed at european finals. As the text states "when this digimon would leave the battle area" the digimon is referring to the top card of the stack. As the top card of the stack is being placed under a card, it is ceasing to be a digimon, and therefore is ruled as that digimon/stack leaving the battle area. I don't necessarily agree with it myself, but there was a whole debate about it. It's why the likes of alphamon and ace cards don't trigger overflow or protection if tucked under another card, as they say "when this card" rather than referring to the entity in the battle area.
It’s not the fact that Bukamon gives the Digimon jamming it’s the fact that the condition to give it jamming is so easily obtainable and it’s in a color that has Digimon that can unsuspend multiple times. Sure the yellow egg gets some checks in for free but you don’t outright lose the game in that one turn.
I just picked up hunters recently, I think the deck is really solid as it has answers to most things in the format, the only things you really have issues with are huge wall decks like D brigade, or OTK decks where you just need to be faster than them. I've found I always need to mulligan till I find something to filter with, either a watchmaker, clockmon or taiki, otherwise the deck just stalls for seeing cards.
Vs. D-Brigade should be in Hunters' favor. Not only can something like Omnishout + shoutmon inherit clear board (even after Cargodramon inherit), but tools like Tuwarmon, Cho-Hakkai, and Quartz can shut down the blocker wall entirely. DCD bomb isn't an issue either because de-evoing a lvl 5 means you get to save your materials again.
@@XZeroDragoonX genuinely not seen a list running cho-hakkai. Tuwar can be handy if you run it, but it's usually a 1 of at best. quartz doesn't stop them as much as you think, not when they commonly run it themselves. And DCD will just clear it anyways. I'm not saying hunters can't beat it, I know I did during my matches with it during finals, it's just that if they get set up enough, it really puts you on the back foot.
@@Iman_2612 fenrir is tough, you basically need to kill them before they can do their turn, as you normally run nothing in security that can help you (to the point I'm considering a couple crimson blaze) Shine isn't as bad, hunters is one of the few decks that can set up about as fast as shine with the right plays, and once you remove the shine stack they lose a lot of momentum.
@@darrengibson2868 is there a reason why people arent running cho-hakkai in this format? I feel like its ability is very valuable now imo. And same with the Tuwar. If anything, I feel Astamon is losing value as time goes on. Could be wrong though
The yellow vaccine player has misplayed in ways that make me worried they fundamentally do not understand the mechanics of the deck. It’s not all RNG, they’re tucking card into security. They have to show you what they’re tucking when they do via T.K and patamon and it has to go to the bottom. Emissary recovers after you shuffle, so we should have seen yellow player emissary -> search-> evolve to seraphi -> draw -> shuffle security-> recover for emissary->trigger seraphi all turns-> then recover for seraphi. So 00:50 both recoveries should be on top.
It's hard to see at 2x speed but I showed the guy I tucked every time. Misplayed on the emissary but you have to understand how loud this locals gets in the later rounds. It's hard to hear yourself think so there's going to be misplays, especially when your combo line recovers at different times during the security search. Trust I do know how the deck works.

The 2nd check was messenger of hope
Oh didnt even realize that was it's security effect. Thanks for the clarification.@@Risu_
" It's not fair " My guy Hunters can tuck anything in the game lmaoooo 😂
which point are we laughing at me about im sure im just trying to be extra
Can't tuck everything now, you can't get rid of a d brigade with the new commandro/Hi-commandro inherits, found that one out unfortunately!
@@darrengibson2868 new hi-commandra inheritable does not protect from superior arrestra as it is not leaving the battle area

How it does against decks like fenrilooga or ShineGreymon
