Great video's your editing make /keep them quite interesting & enjoyable. I think what makes your travel video's some of the best I've watched on RUclips is yours are all about the places and culture your visiting, most others are more about the traveler and how their location is effecting them, even to the point they forget where they even are on the map. Hey you certainly make it look easy and your warm and friendly personality shows the host countries and locals that you are sincere and appreciate their hospitality and sharing knowledge of their City, Area, Locale or Stan. I was borned and raised in the Netherlands, but my parents and siblings are from Azerbaijan. Since I don’t get to go there often it was really nice to see this video and how the places I’ve never been to look. I really enjoyed the video 👍🏼👍🏼
Beautiful people, beautiful scenery! Your drone footage made me feel like I was breaking free from the clouds. I love that you respectfully pass on visiting more traditional landmarks and instead would rather go knock on a local’s door and see how they live, what matters to them, and what they do for fun. 💚 it’s funny how the more you travel, and the farther you go, we as viewers get a sense that it’s truly a small world in that all of us are human beings just living our lives, wanting to share with others, and appreciate what we have, no matter how little or how much. Thank you, as always, for what you are doing.
I've visited Azerbaijan before. We were in a group but I also have an Azerbaijani friend there (I met her in Grad school). I love the people. They are very warm, welcoming and contented. My friends family invited me to her home and there was a massive dinner followed with deserts and tea. They were so excited to know about me and my country (Ghana). I'm looking forward to going there again
Hey Nuk, another great trip report. The landscape looks amazing; and the people so friendly. That lovely lady that made you tea & homemade cakes, so nice. I recall a few years ago Azerbaijan were the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest. Keep safe buddy, looks like your in good hands. RgY 👍💯😎
I get a feel that Azerbaijan is a lot of old traditions meeting new, Much in the same way a painting starting out Oil and ending in Acrylic and working how that is done.
It is great to see that you are not only taking great videos (as you always do), but also interviewing the people and sharing with us a little bit of their world view. This approach really sets you apart from other travel-related RUclips channels. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Portugal.
Hey Nick, this is my first comment on your channel. I'm a fan of yours & you are very talented when it comes to making videos & documenting your experiences. Keep up the great work that you're doing! You're really making a big impact with your videos & I really look up to that! Greetings, from Connecticut!
Hey Nick just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for everything you're doing. It’s so beautiful and interesting there! The people seem lovely. I’m so glad to have seen and heard from ordinary people and seen regular folks’ lives. Thank you! 🙏🏼👍🏼✌🏼
Well done Nick..taking your channel down the route of meeting local people...so much more interesting that a lot of the ego driven channels out there....really looking forward to the next Vid..Cheers Mate!
Looks like a beautiful place to visit. Tbe people seem awesome. This reminded me of one of the fsvorite things i always loved about Anthony Bourdain was the discussions with people around the table.
Nick, this looks like a nice safe and beautiful country to visit, with very warm and friendly people! Hope you have more videos here before you leave! Please describe the cake and topping as well as other meals you ate there!!! Thanks
Wow! Thank you so much for this gift of showing a part of the world that most people don't even think about much less go there. I really enjoyed the parts where you talked to the local people. That makes it so genuine and real.
I love that you are taking the channel in this direction, I love seeing different cultures and people and lives, you are doing what I would love to be doing. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful video! Super authentic and inspiring! Life is so short, we have to explore and take the step of faith to travel and enjoy every day as much as possible.

I really enjoyed this video that’s an amazing,Master. Do you know why you are number 1 traveller for not me i guess many people Waiting impatiently another video from Azerbaijan
Just a side note: In Azerbaijan, not even a fifth of women wear a hijab. Absolutely majority don't. And though a Muslim majority country, Azerbaijan in global ratings always ranks far below its Christian neighbors of Armenia and Georgia in terms of religiosity of population
@@jdarlington8841 Sure, no place comes without its downsides inc Azerbaijan but certainly the nature, great food, hospitable ppl, its culture bridging Europe & Asia make it worthy a visit. Hope u'll get a chance to visit it once.
Do you think it might be because of Azerbaijan being a post-Soviet country? I know the USSR cracked down on religion pretty hard and I'm just curious if the USSR's actions still influence Azerbaijani culture.
@@TheFireElevator That is exactly a Soviet heritage. The Soviets persecuted the clerics, undermined institutions, promoted Atheism. That left an interesting legacy: People are still very conservative - more so than in Georgia & Armenia but are not religious. Few wear a hijab. A call to prayer may be heard to hear as there are very few mosques, and not many attend prayers. Now, the religion is making a comeback gradually but it still is a marginal factor in the day-to-day life of the country
Absolutely amazing how you enter someone else's house spontaneously and they immediately treat you like a family member and offer you food and drinks. It reminds me a lot of Albanian culture and the way guests are treated there as well. Its interesting to see how many similarities we have with them (not just in this case). Keep up the great videos!
I am home schooling my son and daughter and we are studying all the countries of the world and we watch videos like this one and I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your video,we loved the part where you had a visit with a local man in his home, that was great.
Hey, Nick! Love your channel! I like to call Azerbaijani people "culturally Muslim" meaning that although they are not very religious, they still maintain the Muslim mentality. Many women don't wear hijabs, a lot of people drink, and most people don't visit mosques or pray five times a day, but at the same time most people believe in Allah and consider themselves Muslim. The Soviet influence greatly decreased the importance of religion in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani culture is very unique and interesting! Thank you for visiting!
Hi Nick you and your channel deserve much more interest and respect! İ just saying to you massive thanks and i would like to give little information about drinking of alcoholic booze in Azerbaijan. As we know that people of the country are muslim but we love drinking particularly Azerbaijani men love boozing in large quantities (vodka, local wines, beer). My entire family is from Azerbaijan (mostly Baku and also Shirvan), but they moved to Iran in the 1930s. I would say that culturally, Azeris are closer to Persians than Turks, as Azerbaijan was part of the Persian Empire for a long time. Linguistically, we're closer to Turks. There is also a lot affinity with the other nearby Caucasian countries. Azerbaijan is beautiful, and it's filled with lovely, kind, generous people. I took my dad back to Baku a few years ago, and it was weird how it felt so much like "home," even though it was the first time I went there.
