I think the fact that Darkseid event went along with this marraige and how he apparently didn't even see this coming probably shows that, despite being a god of destruction, this version of Darkseid actually had a heart, maybe even showing that the roles might have been reversed a bit between the brothers. I mean, if Darkseid can make peace with his brother to end a war between them through marraige, it kind of speaks volumes to this version's character, and how the betrayal of the truce probably stung much more than it might have had Darkseid been the one to instigate it.
It's closer to life, reality. Almost no one is absolutely evil, and evel sociopaths depend from people, so they are not evil to them... In reality everyone has a heart, but people do awful things to each other. As they say, every villain is a hero of his own story (in actual reality bad tend to think about themselves as normal people). I bet Highfather thought he is a hero. He thought about possibility of future conflict and that he is saving lives of his warriors... in expense of different planet, of course. Kill some hundreds of nobles, but thousands more warriors will be saved... Definitely Red Wedding vibe.

I would love to see a second movie in the franchise. Maybe they could add an alternate Flash, and maybe some other alternates. A yellow/ red /blue lantern? Or maybe a new story for a Green lantern.
Not defending Injustice Wonder Woman but in her origin. It's pretty much the live action film except set on World War 2. Sure enough WW and Steve Trevor fall in love but it turns out Steve is actually a Nazi spy and accidentally kills a friend of Dianna. Triggering her as she HATES what the Nazi's are after fighting them for a long time and knowing how fucked up they are. Even after finding out from the lasso of Truth that Steve "loves his country" more than her. She straight up kills him without mercy and becomes a cold hearted person because of it and begins to lose faith in humanity as she believes they need to be kept in line.

Amazons by lore are genocidal, gender biased, feminist extremists who has a tradition of slave trading and rape. It's not even like Diana denies these routes. She prides herself in amazonian culture down to her uniform. She even slanders men, especially in the comics. She's only a step away from becoming just like her mother, or worst her father.

I think the main thing is that Darkseid was COMPLETELY blindsided with all this. An it fits a really good narrative as well, for having a backstory for New Genesis Wonder Woman. Plus that staff seems super OP.
Where was this stuff playing, Netflix, Hula, or other streaming service? I know I never saw it on Cartoon Network or Disney Channels like "The New Avengers" and "Amazing Spider-Man!" I had never heard of it until I happened across it when playing other Justice League movie clips! ;-)

i like superman and wonderwoman of this universe, but not batman. I dont like the supernatural aspect of him being a vampire. This is definitely a fresh take on on wonder women, much like the other members of her team. The characters are origins are altered enough so it’s not just Diana of the amazons but raised on new genesis, this is Bekka a previously established character but a more prominent role in the current story.
I agree that this WW's origin is much better, but I dont agree that its the best. I think Superman's the best, by far better than the original too. It gives him some meaning, some depth. I understand that he's supposed to be the "icon of righteousness" and such, but that makes him not very relatable. This new Superman is much more tragic. It makes sence that he has conflicts, REAL conflicts. I like the fact that he was raised by a migrant couple not because Im a latinamerican but because he has seen the harshness of life. And that's how he became such a merciless deliverer of justice. It reminds me of the episode in the DCAU Justice League where they clash on an alternative universe where they DO kill (or lobotomize), and despite not having much freedom and such, its pretty much a Utopia, like a New Gods in-the-making.
Highly doubt they dissapeared him since the Justice Lords were still all in for keeping the citizens safe. Most likely went to a station and after some time the man either shutted up or the police would investigate the restaurant for trying to steal to customers, ending with the police effectively visiting the restaurant again. As the man said, "5 and 5 make 15?". That would make the police suspect of the restaurant as well. So yes, it may be a little harsh from time to time. But it was pretty damn close to a Utopia. In few generations it would very well become one, since most likely the Justice Lords didnt like corrupt law enforcement either.
The problem with superman is that if you look at who he is, and i feel it's proven with injustice that he makes a much better villain than he does a super hero. As a super hero he is given plot protection, he has god like powers that can't be beaten, you know the ending of every episode for you know his powers are by far the most OP concept any writer has ever come up with to only be rivaled by japans one punch man. (who is clearly a super man parody).

It sadly seems like it'll never happen. A shame (btw, the best way to go would be a plot by Highfather to reunite the twin planets of New Genesis and Apokalyps, kill off the "local gods" and put the new gods of the fifth world as the only divinities in the universe)
I've been a big fan of the NEW GODS comics since they debuted back in the 70's. Jack Kirby's stark characterizations and bold use of heavy black lines influenced my own development as an artist. This Bekka character has a much better back story than Diana Prince. It resonates better and has a more human feel to it than the "immortal creation of Greek gods." In fact, I like all of their origins in this movie. It has a definite MARVEL Comics feel to the universe and that touch of tragedy that helps give depth to the characters. I would love to see this done as a serious project; movies and comics.

Man, I want a movie about Bekka as that universe Wonder Woman. Or even a series. I know there's some great adventures she had. That universe Man-Bat, Kurt, is the Batman of that universe and he's not a hideous monster, but uses his vampirism to fight crime. And Superman is just a regular dude with super powers. He didn't hide his identity, and has his own moral code, different from the Superman we know. I kind of like how he is unique of himself. That said, Bekka is my top favorite alternate universe of Wonder Woman. Out of the three, I feel she has better story of her journey. Warner Bros. lost their edge though.

Yipes. I LIKE this Wonderwoman. She's so different. I dont like she held that secret which indeed makes her beyond redemtion but by realizing it and her mistakes she becomes more honorable by leaving her grandfather. Pros are definetly that she doesnt have a natural dislike for men, she's honorable in the right way(Aside from the boytoy thing you mentioned in the video) and likely she would not repeatedly stab a broken sword through the gut of a child.

I thought it was strange that this version was one of the New Gods. Why wasn’t she Artemis? She and Diana had a rivalry over who would claim the mantel of Wonder Woman. Not to mention she actually had red hair as opposed to Bekka, who was a brunette.
If you look at this scene closely. You can see Big Barda also conspiring with new genisis being it was all planned even from the inside. But another thing is that even if they kill Darkseid, doesn't he just still return back being that is just his physical form?
Bekka is an amazing Wonder Woman in her own right. She is a fierce warrior just like Diana, only difference is that Diana does not kill, unless she has to, Bekka will do it without a second thought. I love both Wonder Women.
i was under the impression that the Holy Trinity in this movie were "what if" amalgamations rather than just singular alternate versions of the original Holy Trinity, Superman = Kal'El (Superman) + Zod (General Zod) Wonder Woman = Diana (Wonder Woman) + Barda (Big Barda) Batman = Bruce (Batman) + Kirk (Man-Bat)
Nope. Bekka is an established character from the mainstream DC universe. She first appeared in the graphic novel "The Hunger Dogs" by Jack Kirby. The one in this movie is indeed an alternate version of her.
Omg, I actually haven't seen the movie and barely knew it came out. I discovered Gods and Monsters in the graphic novel! It was an entirely different story, more focused on Bekka's past. If you like the characters, do your self a favor and buy the graphic novel. It's awesome.

A story in which Darkside actually wanted to resolve things peacefully and he gets stabbed in the back?! I never thought I would say this but poor Darkside.
I like this one; but the other is good for me as well, I grew up watching and reading about Diana the original version so I would not turn my back on it now. This new version of WW Bekka is good and worth exploring more as well, it's a refreshing and very different look to a classic character.
I SWEAR to God, it HAS to be Bruce Timm that made this movie as good as it was. Well, Bruce Timm and that other Alan guy, I forget what his name was; Alan Burnet or something. My point is, modern DC writers are all a bunch of untrained geeks writing what amounts to high production fan-fiction. Justice League versus Teen Titans, Batman Bad Blood, Flashpoint. They're all so poorly executed. There's no visionary direction. There's no strong dialogue or plot focus, even if the initial synopsis seems interesting. But if you look at any of the animated movie projects where they put Bruce Timm in charge of storyboarding (Gotham by Gaslight, Gods and Monsters, Batman and Harley Quinn), the movies all get exponentially better; and not only are they now merely watchable, but now they're actually ENJOYABLE to watch, and immensely so. Bruce Timm is an actual veteran that has training and experience in writing, with a mind for cinematography. All these other young hacks that they bring on to their payroll need to go back and take writing classes; or they need to sit back and learn from the old guys, because all this new stuff they're releasing SUCKS!

Man, I want a movie about Bekka as that universe Wonder Woman. Or even a series. I know there's some great adventures she had.
That universe Man-Bat, Kurt, is the Batman of that universe and he's not a hideous monster, but uses his vampirism to fight crime.
And Superman is just a regular dude with super powers. He didn't hide his identity, and has his own moral code, different from the Superman we know. I kind of like how he is unique of himself.
That said, Bekka is my top favorite alternate universe of Wonder Woman. Out of the three, I feel she has better story of her journey.

That said, Darkseid and his forces getting wiped by a new Genesis sneak attack makes her origin the only one in this league's that I can't believe. Darkseid and Highfather taking much longer to reach a settlement? I can buy that. The avatar of tyranny and evil falling without a struggle, in such a way that makes you sympathetic.... that doesn't work.
If I have to think about alternative origin of Wonder Woman, I will also point out the New 52 origin. I did like them

Justice league gods and monsters technically contradicts how the new gods work because the new gods are suppose to be 1 version of them in the multiverse,so if JL GAM is in the same multiverse as the animated movies like JL War,it wouldn’t make any sense for darkseid to die

Well the main Wonder woman is wonder. This version of so called wonder woman isn't wonder woman at all. Plus this new god WW is more as a slut a.k.a a whore y'all know that. The real Wonder woman is the ideal candidate as a True Amazon and fight for real Justice. Now this gods and monsters justice league is good but not the best. Or the real thing. It's the opposite of the original version of the Justice League nothing isn't wrong with it, it's not the same.
Yipes. I LIKE this Wonderwoman. She's so different. I dont like she held that secret which indeed makes her beyond redemtion but by realizing it and her mistakes she becomes more honorable by leaving her grandfather.
Pros are definetly that she doesnt have a natural dislike for men, she's honorable in the right way(Aside from the boytoy thing you mentioned in the video) and likely she would not repeatedly stab a broken sword through the gut of a child.

if you watch the video the whole boy toy thing make sense in context with her back story after losing Orion she doesn't like to get close to people, using Superman as a boy toy is there a way of ensuring that there is no possibility of a romance between them.

I thought it was strange that this version was one of the New Gods. Why wasn’t she Artemis? She and Diana had a rivalry over who would claim the mantel of Wonder Woman. Not to mention she actually had red hair as opposed to Bekka, who was a brunette.
Gods and monsters was a good movie it's a shame they never did a follow-up or even a crossover with the main continuity Justice League

If you look at this scene closely. You can see Big Barda also conspiring with new genisis being it was all planned even from the inside. But another thing is that even if they kill Darkseid, doesn't he just still return back being that is just his physical form?
Bekka is an amazing Wonder Woman in her own right. She is a fierce warrior just like Diana, only difference is that Diana does not kill, unless she has to, Bekka will do it without a second thought. I love both Wonder Women.
i was under the impression that the Holy Trinity in this movie were "what if" amalgamations rather than just singular alternate versions of the original Holy Trinity,

Nope. Bekka is an established character from the mainstream DC universe. She first appeared in the graphic novel "The Hunger Dogs" by Jack Kirby. The one in this movie is indeed an alternate version of her.

Omg, I actually haven't seen the movie and barely knew it came out. I discovered Gods and Monsters in the graphic novel! It was an entirely different story, more focused on Bekka's past. If you like the characters, do your self a favor and buy the graphic novel. It's awesome.

I like this one; but the other is good for me as well, I grew up watching and reading about Diana the original version so I would not turn my back on it now. This new version of WW Bekka is good and worth exploring more as well, it's a refreshing and very different look to a classic character.

I SWEAR to God, it HAS to be Bruce Timm that made this movie as good as it was. Well, Bruce Timm and that other Alan guy, I forget what his name was; Alan Burnet or something.
My point is, modern DC writers are all a bunch of untrained geeks writing what amounts to high production fan-fiction. Justice League versus Teen Titans, Batman Bad Blood, Flashpoint. They're all so poorly executed. There's no visionary direction. There's no strong dialogue or plot focus, even if the initial synopsis seems interesting. But if you look at any of the animated movie projects where they put Bruce Timm in charge of storyboarding (Gotham by Gaslight, Gods and Monsters, Batman and Harley Quinn), the movies all get exponentially better; and not only are they now merely watchable, but now they're actually ENJOYABLE to watch, and immensely so.
Bruce Timm is an actual veteran that has training and experience in writing, with a mind for cinematography. All these other young hacks that they bring on to their payroll need to go back and take writing classes; or they need to sit back and learn from the old guys, because all this new stuff they're releasing SUCKS!
I completely wore heartedly agree but people just won’t accept it or they are ignorant of the problem, and praise these movie just to praise them, some say these are the best animated movies they ever seen and im wondered if I was the only one who saw the poor writing and art style
