  • The best selling gaming mice right now are pretty surprising since I expected something a LOT different. But at the same time, some of these shouldn't be passed over because they are the most popular gaming mice. Rather, some of these are some of the best mice of all time while others are....not so great.

      monitor wise look for one with an (actual) low refresh rate otherwise you will have ghosting, appart from that they are all kind of the same, monitor arm id go for something in the 30-80 € region (depending on whether only for one monitor or 2 at once) personally i own a bontec one for 51€ for monitors with 6.5kg max weight per moitor for a 1440p with a 1080p monitor its enough not the highest quality or best ability to split the monitors how you like them (probably better with single monitor stands and getting 2 of them instead of 1 for 2 monitors) but it does the job quite well for almost 1.5 years now, so sadly i cant tell you the long term quality of this product.

    I am using G 502 Lightspeed and after year of use i am satisfied. The main reason i chose this mouse is because of the mousewheel tilt click (which you completely forgot to mention!). I play a lot of MMORPG games so i need an extra buttons. I tried a lot of mice, but i really did not get a right memory with these numpad keyboard on the side layout. These 2 extra tilt buttons gives me flexibility. But i understand, somebody who prefer mostly FPS type of games really can't appreciate this function.

Find another proteus core or a spectrum. The G502 hero has a huge hardware bug that makes it unusable if you click and drag a lot.

    ironically, the infinite scroll wheen is the only thing I wish they would change about the mouse - it feels great in 'infiinte' unlock mode but it also flickers on its own a lot and if you lock it back to the tactile mode, the scroll wheel is one of the hardest and most unpleasant wheel I ever used in a mouse by far, even a cheap 2 buck mouse wheel feel better than that

    • @hal9xxx321
      @hal9xxx321 3 года назад +1

      THANK YOU! I've been complaining this a lot, when you shake the mouse even mildly left to right the scroll wheel rattles when in ifinite scroll mode. It's kinda flimsy, but no one on r/G502materace seems to care.

      @SMGJohn 3 года назад

      What use case is this actually useful in though?

    • @Cerbyo
      @Cerbyo Год назад

      @@hal9xxx321 all logitech GAMING mice have unuseable or bordreline meh scroll wheels. the g903 is another good example...again its highlight is the wheel and its freeform/locked versions....freeform feels great it really does....locked is really hard to use for scrolling....its really just for weapon swap. Its almost impossible to press the scrollwheel button ingame...requires SO MUCH FORCE. And the unlocked freeform that felt good? useless. Why? if it will jump 1 tick in either direction when u are done moving it....meaning ur page/item will go up or down 1 extra....UNUSEABLE and annoying af even on trivial things like web surfing. Also if its not locked....it will move on its own when u move the mouse....so u need to lock it when not using it.....pressing the lock/unlock button also requires alot of force and is a ways away. U'll be a sitting duck ingame, and you'll be so frustrated using this for normal computer stuff u'll not be able to use it at all. The 703 mousewheel is a bit better but still practically very difficult to use....mainly due to its ridiculous placement requiring alot of stretch and travel time and its INsANE AMOUNT OF FoRCE to press down. It defeats the whole point. The g305 has the best mousewheel....and its extremely meh by any standard of mouse wheel...its a little rubber sticky rubber thing that is meh to the max. AND ALL LOGITECH SIDE BUTTONS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO USE INGAME. they are only for web back/forward at this point and honestly i have to move my whole hand to hit the farther one so why bother. logitech have good sensors....usually...if it works on ur operating system -_-.....and clean products....and okay clicks. That's about it. I'm not buying from them again> I have a superlight. its scrollwheel is also MEH. i can barely do the things ingame or inweb i can with my microsoft sculpt ergo. I don't know who uses logitech mice. I don't know how they use them. I know the ones I try are overpriced meh or just plain defective. I won't buy any more in the future. If I could go back in time I'd buy two microsoft sculpt ergo mice....their build quality is bad and they break down after use and their sensor is god awful.....buT THEY ARE COMFY AND they offer two nice buttons and a working scrollwheel thats great to scroll and nice to click down and a simple single back button for web surfing which is good enough. Now do I want more buttons? Can I use the sidekey for gaming? God no, its impossible cause it takes to omuch force. IS it good for aiming ingame? GOD NO. but I can hit my two main buttons and the scrollwheels 3 buttons for a total of 5 buttons ingame seamlessly easy. And in a game of buttons...u will win. If u play fps or something like that fine...buy a superlight....just don't expect the mousewheel to function as a weapon swap....its two buttons and aim on the superlight. thats all u get. Maybe that's all u need in an fps tho.

    The VicTsing actually makes a ton of sense as #5, given its dirt cheap price and the fact that plenty of people play games - anything from Minecraft to turn-based strategy games to management sims - where precision or latency isn't a major factor. (Hell, for the longest time, I used a garbage HP mouse that came with an old PC for my gaming. The thing didn't even have side buttons, but it was perfectly adequate for the sort of games I was playing at the time.) But I can only assume people are buying that Pictek mouse because they're getting suckered in by the free-merch-inspired high review score.
    It's surprising that a Glorious mouse didn't make the list. I wonder if they still don't have widespread brand recognition to put them in contention and/or if the average person just isn't willing to spend $50+ on a mouse that doesn't come from one of the mainstream manufacturers like Logitech and Razer? Personally, I'd take the Glorious Model O over the G502 Hero all day long. I'm actually really surprised the G502 Hero not only made the list but is #1, since it's the most expensive and people clearly like their mice on the cheaper side. I really would've expected the Razer Viper Mini to dominate the list, given it's just a fantastic little gaming mouse and typically an absolute steal at just $30; it's got brand recognition, it's budget friendly, and it has overwhelmingly positive reviews - it's the perfect beginner gaming mouse that's still a viable option for seasoned gamers.

    Every single mouse in my main computer area is a G502 of various generations. Two RGB versions, one pre-RGB version. That mouse is AMAZING. Should also mention the braided cord makes it so it is almost impossible to have internal cable breakage, something I had on older mice. Hell, I like the Logitech keyboards too, got G902's.

    At 00:58, top row, second from the left; the Razor Trinity (looks like my Razor Hex) should be on the list, IMHO.
    I use this plus the Razor Nostromo key pad.
    I have the keypad set up for movement and the mouse set up for Alt, Shift, Ctrl, Alt-Shift, Alt-Ctrl, and Ctrl-Shift.
    So, unmodified, the keypad is 15 key, scroll wheel, 8 way hat, a push button, and a flat button; 15+3+8+1+1=28 x 6 mouse modifiers = 168 programmable combinations.
    Drop this by 4 on the hat x 6 = 24, or 144 that I could use. As it is difficult to get the hat to quickly register north east, instead of just north or just east.
    This is great in MMOs that have a slew of powers. Not sure about FPS, as I don’t care for shooters.

    • @Cerbyo
      @Cerbyo Год назад

      really? oh gee and here I was thinking owning the superlight that the 502 is somehow gonna fix alll my problems...geee....like the 903 was supposed to...like the 703 was supposed to....like the 305 was supposed to.... I'm convinced all logitech praisse comments are basically just fake scam ads at this point.
      I'm using a pro x superlight rn. I could recommend it for 1/3 of the price for fps gamers using w10/11...and nobody else. It really only has two buttons that are useable. Surfing the web with this thing is a meh experience. The mousewheel is only useable for meh surfing....unseuable ingame, completel unuseable ingame. the side buttons....only meh for web....unuseable ingame...COMPLETELy. U press these side buttons....the mouse is so light it moves the mouse...u gotta reach too....too much delay and u gotta press a medium amount...way too hard to press ingame and clutch for anything. Way faster to hit a keyboard key. If it's faster to move ur finger from rest position to a new keyboard key than it is to hit a key on ur mouse...u fked up. The stupid mouse wheels on logietch mice...they are designed so u have to travel fully up and then press...or ur hand will stick inside the mouse wheel cause of the stupid superlight open concept. If its a normal mousewheel ball....u can easily just shift ur hand over and press it at an angle. LOGITEcH DoesnT LIKE bALLS. otherwise the travel distance on the superlight is decent honestly....way better than the 703...the problem is u gott go UP/OVER/DOWN and repeat that back to use it. u can't do aany hardcore jumps from mouse to left click on this thing. BASIC ingame moves i can do on microsoft sculpt ergo mouse are stupidly hard to do on this thing.
      Now I have seen worse scrollwheels than the superlight for sure...most by razer or logitech...but its is a crime they sell this for so much $$$ and give u the most meh scrollwheel imaginable. Its useable....sure, not ingame, but useable. That's how bad mouse wheels are usually that I can give it a pass even tho its unuseable ingame and feels pretty meh and even sorta bad on the web...i dont like scrolling with it. i try and use the click and drag scroll or click the sidebar manually instead on this thing. it has a grinding sound to it, not as bad as the deathadder grind or mx v1 but pretty not great.

Corsair mice also suffer from not saving the RGB, lighting, powersaving, LOD, Debounce profiles to the mouse, literally only the DPI and Polling rate is saved on the mouse and for everything else you must have the POS software that is icue running at all time, i know because i have one.

      True. I learned to deal with it. I put my 1,2,3 combo on 1,m4,m5 with shift alternative to keep storm's eye up. If you rekeybind most of your bar to letters like R,F,V it helps with ease of use and allows for any mouse to be used. Currently I use a g502 but I'm probably gonna buy something else. Its a bit too heavy but it is solid.

    I'm here on my 5th Razer Basilisk (with the "50 million click" switches) within the 2 year warranty, and the switches are already showing hints of failure. If it starts double clicking consistently enough for me to get video before the warranty ends, I'll have gone through 6.

    I love the thumb paddle on the Roccat Tyon and Leadr, but the firmware support from the company is terrible. Simply just terrible. Also the Leadr is just a wireless version of the Tyon, but the Tyon has not had any practical Firmware support in it's entire lifetime practically. That thumb paddle for replacing the Logitech Infini-Wheel is just excellent .. if only the company wasn't so terrible. The Leadr also uses a proprietary USB-B cable to that can be switched between the Leadr and it's charger stand. However the plastic housing on the USB port is also very cheap and deforms very easily making the proprietary connection all that much far more worse consider the company's terrible support.
    Edit: The Tyon and Leadr from Roccat would be great exmaples of a good way in how to get around Logitech's Infini-wheel patents, if they would support programable deadzones or easier to clean thumbpaddle sensor..
