Eres una persona especial, por tener sentimientos tan tiernos hacia tus seres queridos que se fueron. Festeja, como dices, a los que, aún tienes en vida. ¡Saludos desde CDMX!
After searching for videos in English, this was the one I liked the most. I want to share with my friends a bit of my culture, all the others were either in Spanish or in English, they were too out of tradition, this one was just perfect for my friend I loss my father in March 10 and my friend loss his mother March 11 😢 I’m Mexican and he is from USA I am trying to explain him how we Mexicans live this day, how this tradition makes us feel with our loved ones
Thank you so much, for your kind words! It means a lot to us to be able to take part in and share these incredible traditions. I'm so sorry for both of your losses, I can't imagine how hard that must be. I am very glad you are sharing this tradition with your friend from the USA. In the USA we usually look at death with sadness, and then try to "move on" and not think about it. I think we have a lot to learn from Dia de Muertos, and that this traditions should be celebrated all over the world. It is such a better way to honor our loved ones!
hola min.. 5::10 i saw you place your diadema on your head the right way green on the left red on the right... have fun in mexico,, well is june 2022.. i believe you guys already gone to your next adventure have anywhere you are
I learned that if it looks correct in the mirror, it is wrong 😂. We are now back in the United States, but just visited the beautiful Bacalar lagoon in Mexico last month! There are so many incredible places to explore, I'm sure we'll be back soon 🇲🇽♥️
I am Mexican and this tradition is the little we have left of our ancestors after the Spanish conquest so we want and ask that nothing or anyone change it distort or want to appropriate it please do not mix day of the dead with halloween because it is not the same are different traditions of different cultures
Hi, I am glad I found your video. I noticed in a recent comment that you left for Mixquic around noon. May I ask around what time did you get back to the city and did you also use Uber to get back and was it easy to find an Uber to take you back?
Hi! We left around 8pm. We would have loved to stay longer, but we were nervous about Uber availability. A lot of people were just arriving around then, so there were a decent amount of Ubers to head back. The rates had increased a lot compared to our ride there, but that is to be expected in a smaller town. Have an amazing time! That truly is one of the most special experiences of our lives so far! 🤍
We’re headed to CDMX next week for Dia de Muertos. We’ve got a week to explore before we leave for Guadalajara on Nov 4 ( where we usually go on vacation). We’re staying near Zocala in Centro and other than the parade and a day trip to the pyramids we have no plans. We just lost a baby in April and I feel like this is really what we need. Preguntas: Is Mixquic far from CDMX? Did you go on Nov 2 or a day that was close( I want to reserve Nov 2 for the parade of course) Any tips or advice?
This was such a special, beautiful, healing experience for me, and I hope it will be for you too! I'm so sorry for your loss. Mixquic is about an hour and a half from CDMX. We took an Uber there and back (although Ubers on the way back can be difficult to find). We went on November 2nd, and went early (around noon), but when we left in the evening lots of people were just arriving, so I think it would be possible to go after the parade. There are also tours that will take you there from the city, so they may offer some scheduled around the parade events. Hope you have an incredible and healing time!
@@erika4499 No worries! We ended up heading in that direction around noon because we wanted to experience it in the day and at night! I don't know if it is necessary to leave that early, but it gave plenty of time to enjoy the festivities of the town :)
Sorry about your grandma, you have 1 year to set up your 1st altar, the following year, you have to have accepted the new relationship with your loved ones, and show them how much you miss them with the offerings in your altar, the food and objects they loved so much as if it was their birthday, it's your message to them, in return, they will wait for you to guide you when you meet again ✌🏼
Amazing country . Full of History, culture and traditions . Awesome food and people 👌.
We agree! Every time we go we fall more in love with the country, and can't wait to go back! 🇲🇽

Hi! I totally agree, this is nothing like Halloween, and shouldn’t be celebrated as the same holiday in any way.
