Hey, a little late but I bought it a pair of gooses, and can confirm, they are NOT worth it, there are better and exponentially more comfortable shoes (that was not sarcasm I’m being serious) like, New balance 1080v12s and the NB Rebel V3s for around 130-160. Now back to the gooses, I bought them last year, I immediately thought they were very stiff, Your feet will start to hurt a lot after around a few hours of wear. I only worn them around 3 times, and they were during my senior prom, HOCO, and a wedding, I did not have a good experience with them. U haven’t broken into them yet but I heard from some people say that it’s still as uncomfortable as before. Look imma be honest, I own three pairs of these 2x superstar and 1x Francy, First off they are comfortable once you break them in, however they are poorly made, my sole deteriorated after 1 year use and when I say deteriorated I mean completely destroyed, I contacted GG to have them repaired however as I didn’t buy directly from them they offered to repair it at a cost of £150! The trainer cost £350? So not sure how they work that out, I’ve owned many many trainers in my life and never had a pair of soles deteriorate within a year, especially at £350 a pair. The Francy are cool ankle boots, however they are completely different suede on each boot, it’s almost like the person who made the left boot clocked off for the day and then someone different made the right one, They ain’t worth £350-500 nowhere near in fact they should come with a price tag of around £100-150 No a penny more, There are way better designer trainers out there, but the reality why pay £350 for a pair of sneakers when you can get three pairs of Adidas for less?
The first year that Golden Goose Sneakers came to the market must have been 2006 or 2007 and the classic white pair without destroyed effects retailed for 220€ in premium boutiques. I once met one of the original owners in Stra at the factory and he told me, thar they produce a pair for 30€, that was around 2014/15. They really worked their way up and sold the company for a huge figure.
90% of shoes I ever bought are very painful to me and would regularly give me blisters no matter how thick socks I have or how long I "break them in" (maybe it's my skin? Maybe it's my foot shape? No idea). I tried these and they were the first shoes to never give me blisters. I paid 400 euros for them but considering how much I wear them I'd say it's worth it. If anyone knows other shoes that are as comfortable for cheaper let me know
When i see brands like GG Gucci Prada etc i always say i have a hard time believing these cost more to make than my $575 magnanni boots. Can you do a review of brands like magnanni and other shoe making brands
I am not sure why people talk about comfort as if most sneakers are not comfortable. I feel most sneakers are comfortable enough and comfort is not something you can charge on.
I found a pair for 25% less buying them in Europe vs the US. I’ve owned 3 pairs of Adidas Superstars and those are around $100 but the quality is crap (made in China) and I wear out a pair in a year. Hopefully these made in Italy shoes last longer. That’s the thing, you can buy cheap fashion sneakers but the quality is crap. I think if you can find a pair of Golden Goose on sale they could be worth it as they do look very good too.
Depends on the model you got. Superstars wear out their sole in less than a year. Ive never owned a shoe that wear out the sole quicker. Have two pairs since I thought the first pair were faulty. Also have a pair of Ballstar and that sole is better. So is the leather.
Yikes, those sneakers do not look good to me. I've seen this before though on brands like Margiela...and I recall them labelling the distress look as 'artisanal' treatment. Just love marketing.
it’s ok! i have a couple of pairs too and i know i’m paying for the brand. it’s a great durable shoe but the design is something you won’t see anywhere else. i wear the basic one and the crazy glittery obnoxious ones. i love them all! 😂
Have 5 pairs already and buying them mainly for their design, not for comfort or material/leather quality. Some pairs come with the synthetic materials and nothing changes. They match your style effortlessly. You can combine them with your suits or casual clothes perfectly. Always cool looking imo. Their apparel lineup is also sexy but yes, with high price tags.
Of course, i don’t expect everyone to be knowledgeable and experienced in fashion and art. Interpreting artistic images and understanding designs is a long journey that requires a certain foundation, visual accumulation, and experience. In short, this isn’t a matter of money, as you may shallowly think, but I don’t expect you to understand that ❤
Overpriced like any other premium brands? Hell yeah. Great design and silhouette to cost more $? Of course! Id say it is like a premium jean or a shirt brand. Lots of time, the design and the cut is more thought out and simply fit better where cheap brands are just blah. I give the benefit of doubt to the materials used of premium brands as well. Very overpriced, yes, however as an example, you do not want to use leather on everything since it will be less comfortable. You see this tendency a lot reviewing premium boot brands where people think thick leather everywhere is better, but can you imagine how uncomfortable that would be? Some people take months to break in their boots due to leather and stiffness. Screw that. Premium to me means good quality materials while providing great fit and comfort.
I have 3 pair. The midstars( 2 pairs)are my favorites so i wear them more than i wear the super stars. I am on my feet all day in a busy medical office and I have no problem wearing my GG's. They are so comfortable, but very loud. I love sneakers and the only other sneakers i have that are more comfortable than the GG's are my Cloudmonsters(ON) and my Rebels(New Balance).

Look imma be honest, I own three pairs of these 2x superstar and 1x Francy,
First off they are comfortable once you break them in, however they are poorly made, my sole deteriorated after 1 year use and when I say deteriorated I mean completely destroyed,
I contacted GG to have them repaired however as I didn’t buy directly from them they offered to repair it at a cost of £150! The trainer cost £350? So not sure how they work that out, I’ve owned many many trainers in my life and never had a pair of soles deteriorate within a year, especially at £350 a pair.
The Francy are cool ankle boots, however they are completely different suede on each boot, it’s almost like the person who made the left boot clocked off for the day and then someone different made the right one,
They ain’t worth £350-500 nowhere near in fact they should come with a price tag of around £100-150 No a penny more,
There are way better designer trainers out there, but the reality why pay £350 for a pair of sneakers when you can get three pairs of Adidas for less?
The first year that Golden Goose Sneakers came to the market must have been 2006 or 2007 and the classic white pair without destroyed effects retailed for 220€ in premium boutiques.
I once met one of the original owners in Stra at the factory and he told me, thar they produce a pair for 30€, that was around 2014/15.
They really worked their way up and sold the company for a huge figure.
According to leather, I'm pretty sure they still use Mastrotto till this day and the french-terry lining costs nearly nothing.
They came out in 2001
90% of shoes I ever bought are very painful to me and would regularly give me blisters no matter how thick socks I have or how long I "break them in" (maybe it's my skin?
In your opinion, what is a fair retail price on them? $100, $200, $300?
I have two pairs............ Every time I watch your videos I feel TORTURED
it’s ok! i have a couple of pairs too and i know i’m paying for the brand. it’s a great durable shoe but the design is something you won’t see anywhere else. i wear the basic one and the crazy glittery obnoxious ones. i love them all! 😂
You can buy these at 50% plus all the time. They are super comfy.
If they cost 50$ you would never wear them, get a grip
Of course, i don’t expect everyone to be knowledgeable and experienced in fashion and art. Interpreting artistic images and understanding designs is a long journey that requires a certain foundation, visual accumulation, and experience. In short, this isn’t a matter of money, as you may shallowly think, but I don’t expect you to understand that ❤
Reps been the move for anything like this for years
please do some rick owens shoes!Geobasket and Ramones would be great!Mainlines not DRKSHDW
$545-$600😂😂😂, I’m Stan Smith fan 4 ever
They are comfy specially the sole , my fiancee didnt like it cuz its pricy but for me its worth it
I really like how these sneakers look. What a shame the quality sucks.
I just ordered the blue Hampton . Can’t wait to get it..🤩
Do Zegna Triple stitch sneakers
Please make a review of philippe model🙏
I would never wear this style but at least they are comfy 🤷🏻♀️
Looks like a fiberboard lasting board, too. Cheap materials hidden on the inside. 😂
i think its obscene to buy a pair like that for 600 $.
I own a pair it’s very comfortable and l have had it for two years now, it’s definitely gonna be my first and last pair after watching your video.
I remember Gucci did a dirty shoe as well it was equally repulsive 🤮 😂 I saw a Golden Goose in the mall and nearly laughed myself back outside
The shoes aren’t “dirty” they are distressed…Like your jeans!
Opinions are like a-hοles
Everyone has his own
How can he afford to buy a 600 dollar shoe then destroy it?? Im so confused. I appreciate his expertise tho
do zegna second skin
Thank You
Shoes are about ergonomics, it is an extension of your muscle skeletal system. Is not a bag.
please review veja campo pls
I have 3 pair. The midstars( 2 pairs)are my favorites so i wear them more than i wear the super stars. I am on my feet all day in a busy medical office and I have no problem wearing my GG's. They are so comfortable, but very loud. I love sneakers and the only other sneakers i have that are more comfortable than the GG's are my Cloudmonsters(ON) and my Rebels(New Balance).
Excellent Luxury Venice Italy sneakers 😮🎉❤😂
Very interesting video
Same reason I wear old flannels and ripped YSL’s. I get more compliments on my gooses than any other shoe brand
Poor people want a shiny watch, wealthy people laugh in calfskin sneakers
The company name says it all golden goose for golden diggers. People are just playing dumb if they buy a pair a dirty look and sneakers for $600 Hello my generation people are dumb spending $200 on a pair of sneakers sneakers people not gold!!!
I wish i could convince my teen that GG is not worth it.. haha
