We've reached 1K Subscribers! Thank-you, everyone!
Funny thing Is also appears in Godzilla Singular Point More like a literally internal references but mixted with the chimeric Kumonga and once outside with a Hedorah resemble and colored like Yog and Dogora. Funny details about how both Kaijus are Parasitic Space Amoebas who feed on carbón and others polluted resources!!
we need the jelly fish monster so we can solve global warming
Yes. As well Pes-Star, amd Gamera.
And Mothra as well.
It's a fun concept for a movie monster honestly. Shame the movie is a but dull at points. Well...a lot of points. The idea of diamond smugglers and international cops and what not is pretty original for a Toho flick. (Albeit it was most likely heavily influenced by the international espionage of James Bond that came to the screen just two years earlier). Just wish that the main giant Dogora had more screen time, or at least showed up more than once.
Despite the "Dagora" spelling, the U.S. version merely uses Toho International's Hong-Kong-dubbed English audio, so the monster is called "Dogora" (DOUGH-gur-uh) throughout the film; that spelling also shows up on a newspaper that's prominently visible in the U.S. version.
When I saw DAGORA on TS back in 1980, I recognized the katakana for Dogora on the newspaper and felt sort of gratified. As best as I can remember, the film began with the title card and then went to Akiko Wakabayashi in the car but it's possible that TBS may have edited it.
@@ronnieburton1312 The credits are also spliced out in the unlicensed Video Images release. I assume that was an AIP edit back in 1965, but I'd like to get my hands on a 16mm print to see for myself some day.
The less said about those Netflix abominations the better. but Dogora is a fun watch and as long as you are willing to go along with the heist / Kaiju format you'll enjoy yourself
The books based on the Netflix movies are apparently very good
One of the more obscure dia kiju films.
Honestly I really wish we had Dogora return, either in its own movie, monsterverse, or something else. Mainly because I really like dogora as a kaiju
AMAZING! There are other Toho monsters becides Dogora like H-Man, Matango The Mushroom People, the giant cuddle fish, Frankenstien ( Toho), and The Giant Octopus.
*WHO SUMMONS ME*
Dogora te amo mucho eres mi kaiju favorito de toho

I know that WikiZilla already did a Kaiju Profile on him but can you please do a History Lesson video on Maguma?
“Ah, geez, he’s smashed on Fizzy Lifting Drinks again!”

I’m a new student so nice seeing ya
Godzilla's aerial jellyfish foe Dogora can be used in death battles against monsters like Tentaclon (Giant Robot Kaiju), Eleking (Ultra Seven Kaiju) and Star O (the alien star fish from DC Comics).
A Giant Box Jellyfish from Outer space
Talk about alien spell and alien talk from ultraseven which banned epiosde and unaired episode
But professor how did they do the scene where the coal was sucked up?
im guessing reversed footage of them dropping it
This Kaiju reminds me of the alien from the movie Nope, without the tentacles of course.
Your opening always reminds me of the laughing salesman
Hey talked about maguma or nezura
Cool
Wacky ending to this video! 🤣🤣🤣
That little sound effect keeps making me think I'm getting messaged on Discord....
can you gabara bio
1:55 alright who put the millennium ufo with these single celled organisms
Even if the movie isn't that good, after watching the film, I started to hate the look of Space Amoeba and Hedorah. If they could do this brilliant work of special effects, why the rest of them had to do with a man in a suit? Idk, I think the experience in Dogora may help to make it easier for the rest of the movies
Was Dogora symbolic of US B-29 airstrikes on Japan during WW2?
