    Great flying and awesome build! I love the rip of that prop.

    Nice flight and very good flying plane for being electric powered.
    Love the sound of the prop when you get on it, almost sounds more like the real full-sized aircraft. The prop really barks.

    I'm glad to see this size plane with electric power. I'm pretty much done with glow and I've never had gas.

    World class flying and excellent camera work - - I've had excellent results with the larger (SII-6530-180KV) Scorpion motors, I have two of those, they'll swing a 28" prop (if that's a help to anyone), running that motor with a 26 X 15 Mejzlik in an 84" Pilot Slick, I could easily get a solid 5-6 min flight out of a 4000 amp (12 cell) battery pack flying in a sports aerobatic fashion, that's a pound of weight saving although yes, the plane is still very comfortable to fly with a 5000. Just finished an 85" Extra where I'm utilizing the Tribunus II (200 amp version), the 300 Tribunus you're running looks to be performing perfectly - - thanks for the build vid and the cooling tips too, also excellent.

    Awesome flying. Quick question could you get the same performance from using 2 6S batteries? I know you said you use 1 big pack. What 2 6S would you recommend to get the same performance. Thanks

    Is it safe to say that at this scale you can now get the same or better thrust to weight ratio with electric? That looked pretty capable to me. Trying to find where the crossover point is in aircraft size where you no longer get better thrust to weight with electric.

    Very VERY Nice! Well Done !! Would the StinGR gear reduction give and advantages?

    I fly 3D mostly in electric but wanted to get into the 120cc class and I always get told go for gas power, but I dont want to the hassle of gas. This setup gives me hope. Is the power system already on for sale?

    Dang dude. For that being a first flight you burned up that sky as if you had been flying that plane since birth. Amazing plane and pilot control. How does this plane rate with others you’ve flown of this size? Still can’t get over the beat down you put that plane though and can only imagine how much better it will fly once you get more time on it.

    Can you provide information about the 12S Lipo pack? Where can one be bought?

    • @dahlkyle

      Search 12s 10,000mah lipo. There are some from the industrial drone market which can be used.

    Would this be more expensive than a gas engine?

    • @dahlkyle
      @dahlkyle  Год назад

      The motor + ESC would be same or less then a equivalent gas sized engine + muffler + servo etc. With electric you just have to buy batteries. But nice point is that electric does not wear out the airplane like gas engine will do. So your airframe will last longer.

      2 x 6s or 1 x 12s doesn’t matter so long as the size and C rating is the same.
      You would need 6s 10Ah - 12Ah batteries with atleast 25C rating.
