AGREED!!! I got the MagSafe battery pack two weeks ago for my red iPhone 13 mini, and I haven’t looked back. It’s a GAMECHANGER. Even the price of it isn’t so bad if you consider it as a MagSafe charger that doubles as a battery pack (I skipped buying the MagSafe charging puck and just bought the MagSafe battery pack because of this). And I love the look and feel of it on the mini. It definitely is the perfect combo. Thank you for making this video to show the masses that this product is actually a worthwhile purchase!

Just take a look at it! The iPhone Mini undoubtedly reigns as the ultimate phone in the market. Thanks to the brilliant minds at Apple, we have been blessed with the remarkable MagSafe battery and the Mini model. It's clear that the architects at Apple were truly enchanted by the idea of bringing the Mini to life. The only challenge they faced was the battery life, given the phone's compact size. However, Apple ingeniously addressed this by introducing the MagSafe battery, designed exclusively to enhance the Mini's capabilities. Unlike other iPhone models, the MagSafe battery fits seamlessly with the Mini, it just made to fit it. Ive gotten so many compliments on the battery pack alone, seriously. For me, the Mini has become an absolute necessity. No large screen or slightly improved camera can rival the sheer seamlessness this phone offers. It effortlessly slips into my pocket, feeling weightless, while its one-handed usability brings unparalleled convenience. Trust me, it's the coolest phone I've ever had the pleasure of using.
For the best Lithium Ion battery health, don't charge over 80% and don't deplete it lower than 20%. And use slower chargers as they generate less heat, due to slow electron flow.
Yeah I’ve always heard that as well. My guess is Apple does the 90% as a happy medium cause people would probably freak out if it kept it at 80%. Their so paranoid about having enough battery to make it through the day.
@@TheAppleBias 90% I'm sure will have minimal negative effect on the battery health and won't matter as most would probably buy a new phone after a few years anyway.

I appreciate you coming back to this. I think the difference is the heat, it really makes a difference. In the interest of battery health, it will avoid charging the phone if it can. But also, you need to just keep it on from the beginning, like you said. It will do small bursts of charging, and keeping it at 90% is more efficient than 100. So, when you use it like that, your phone will be at 90% all day, and so in the instance that it does get too warm for a bit, then it’ll be okay, it’ll just use a little of the MagSafe battery when it can Edit: I realized that you basically said all of what I said towards the end, although I was more specific about the heat thing lol
@@TheAppleBias Nice, I hope to see a video with your experience! I’d recommend doing the same thing you did on the first day in this video I believe, where your phone was 100 (doesn’t have to be 100, I usually actually just leave it at 90) and have the battery attached from the beginning of the day
They did update the firmware on the battery pack to be able to charge faster a while back. So either way should work now (all depending on heat) but the first of the day is best
@@TheAppleBias Yeah, I got the firmware update on mine too but honestly didn’t notice much of a difference. In fact my phone has felt a little warmer, I’ve always noticed how 7.5W wireless charging or more (although MagSafe helps with this) makes a lot more heat that just 5W. I think did a charge test and charged the phone with the battery pack when the phone battery was low, and I had the phone in airplane mode and wasn’t using it, just to see how much juice I could squeeze out and how fast it was, and this was before the firmware I think. I kind of want to test that again, if I can
Yeah it might very well be the best combo the Mini with the MagSafe battery pack but for me; the camera was the biggest reason I went with the 13 Pro -it only took a couple of days (if that) to get used to the larger phone. Great review! The mini is underrated I recently downgraded as the 13pro was jut too heavy and I don’t make much use of the features. The MagSafe battery pack compliments the mini ‘s size well and helps in those situations when you know you need it most.
i think the magsafe battery pack on iphone 13 mini defeats the whole point of having a mini, itll be more bulky in your pockets with that battery pack rather than if you had a bigger phone without the battery pack
But you don’t need the battery pack everyday. Only on busy away from home all day days. So most of the time you just get to enjoys the tiny things phone. I don’t have the mini Andy Lee but I still miss it.
@@TheAppleBias Brian, I’ve been considering getting another one as a present. You mentioned eBay. Do you think they may be reliable units from people who didn’t like it ot deffective ones?
I say this as a STRONG supporter of the Mini series: 3:43. Well I can think of a few reasons. 1. The battery pack makes the iPhone 13 Mini twice as thick, negating a lot of the ease in terms of weight and comfort. 2. The battery pack will make sure you cannot use the flash for photos if needed by reflecting the flash and ruining shots. 3. The Pro has a telephoto lens so you can actually zoom in when you're out and about for photos. 4. The Pro has enough ram to not keep closing things the background the moment you actually try to DO anything on the device.
But you don’t always need the battery pack I only really used it on vacations. The flash is awful on the phone I haven’t used the flash ever if I want a usable photo your best to use a secondary light source. The telephoto is nice and I wish it was on the iPhone mini and. I never had an issue with the phone feeling slow or closing apps I use often.
Thank you for the video I recently upgraded from a note 10 to a 13 mini. I don’t really need this MagSafe but it does look fun to have lol I work in a office and I don’t have to worry about a charger most of the time but like I said this looks cool to have lol
I am not sure. I’m not a big fan of the 3rd party ones. Apples one has more access to the phones heat and things like that so it stops charging when the phone gets to hot and preserves the battery health of the phone better than the 3rd party’s will.
after looking at the new 14 pros, i decided to get a 13 mini! I LOVED the 12 mini but had to sell it bc the battery was so bad, but after seeing everyone rave about how much better the battery is on the 13 mini compared to the 12 mini. i pulled the trigger! I cant wait to get it!
Yeah I am holding my iPhone 13 Mini close this year. I am expecting the rumors to be true and the mini will disappear with the 14 which just kills me its such a great size.
Thank you for the advice. Now I know how best to use it. I rarely run out of battery with my 13 Mini. If I am going to be out all day and taking lots of photos I will use this combo.
They also just released a firmware update on it. So it can charge faster. I plan to do a video talking about that soon. That means it should work better if you don’t use it right away. Although the right from the start will always make the better in the pack last longer.
Was considering Anker and Belkin brands but this review helped sway me towards the Apple battery. Really appreciate the thorough review for every angle of things-and the plus for WDW and Galaxy's Edge. Thanks so much!
Happy to help I honestly feel it’s the best option out there. I will never use another brand unless they can prove to me they take battery health into account and will stop or slow the charging to protect it.
@@TheAppleBias can I use it while watching RUclips or gaming. For examp,e I’m at 30 percent and I slap this on and continue to watch RUclips or play cod, will it still charge my phone? Or is it one of those chargers where I can’t use it in order for it to charge
I'm actually a freelance logo designer and like to help RUclipsr to design good looking logo for their channel but yours I think is quirky and good already, do you need any other design service? :)
Yeah it’s not that old yet but so far my battery health is doing way better than it was last year when I was using a 3rd party battery pack. Believe what you want tho.
will there be a hit on battery health ? because it is constantly getting charged... really want to get the mini but really concerned about the battery life as well as the battery health
Not sure. It will definitely be better on battery health that the others since it keeps it around the 90% charge level. So far my mini is still at 100% which is pretty surprising with the way I use it.
That's why it costs $99 for less charge than third party chargers. Apple software prevents it from damaging the internal battery. iPhone detects it as an additional battery and not as a charger. Third party chargers do not stop charging before they damage internal battery. Apple Battery Pack does. There are many scientific tests on youtube but I will not post the link out of respect for Brian. It is not nice. But rest assured that the common denominator other chargers or battery packs have is a limitless flow of charge to the internal battery. And that really messes up your battery. Apple's doesn't.
Well said and feel free to post links. This channel is to help in anyway. Even if that comes from a different RUclipsr. I don’t see anyone as competition.
I've been using the iphone 7 battery case since 2016 with my 2015 6S and it didn't really impact anything, I later on stopped and when got a new battery, it degraded the same. It supposdely is smart. It's just the truth it's 2 years max sometimes over a year for a battery unfortunately.
Sadly I just have the one phone. But I expect it to perform just as well with the 13. Only difference will be how well it stays on with the sliding issue I mentioned.
Yep you’ll get more time out of the day that way. The battery pack won’t even start charging the iPhone battery until it’s in the 80-90% range and it will tole to keep it there until the battery packs battery is depleted. And it’s less work and less battery usage on the pack to do that rather than trying to charge it from 10-30%.
@@TheAppleBias oh wow. Idk if my backpack is faulty or not cause when I stick it on sometimes it connects and then after 5-10 secs it disconnects off? I have so many questions to ask about the battery pack. How do I know if it's fully charged etc
There is a light on the bottom that turn green when the MagSafe battery is fully charged. Of you can pop it on the phone and look at the battery widget.
It may. I am still not sure. So far my 13 mini is still at 100% after 6 months so I think my issue was more from issuing a 3rd party MagSafe battery pack.
Not worth the money if you buy 13 mini plus that bulky battery it will cost you about 900 maybe 🤔 might as well pickup 12 pro max. And you will forget the battery
@@TheAppleBias Hi Brian, I hope you're doing great. I watch all your videos and now I need to ask your advise. I am seriously considering buying a Mini 13 before Apple discontinues it. Question is, do you still like this combo after a year?
So I got the 14 pro most of this year but just went back to the 13 mini and love it pro will be going away and I’ll probably get my hands on a 15 to review but doubt I’ll keep it. Mini is just such a great sized phone.

@@TheAppleBias iPhone 13 pro (non max)…for me it’s great to no longer have to lug around a battery pack…the battery life is so unbelievable…that and my iPhone wallet and I’m out the door for the entire day
Sadly right now none of the videos are hitting the requirements for the giveaway. So thinking I am going to hold off for a bit and restart it up once I get a little larger.
Nope. They would not like to buy the iPhone 13 Mini when they rather choose the other models like either 6.1 inch iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, especially me what I preferred the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Actually, the production of last iPhone model with 5.4 inch display called iPhone 13 Mini will be replaced by the new 2024 iPhone SE to be the same chassis structure as the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 and the microprocessor power similar to the upcoming 2023 iPhone 15 coming in early 2024. As well as the upcoming iPhone 14 models to be launched in late 2022, the iPhone 14 Max will also feature the 6.7 inch Super Retina XDR Display, lacking the variable 120 Hz ProMotion Display seen with the 2020 iPhone 12 Pro Max.
All that’s rumors. But ok. If/when they do eliminate the mini I would love to see it go to the SE line up. I have thought and believe said that in a video in the past. But we will just have to wait and see.
I’ve had my iPhone 13 mini for a year now and suddenly my battery is draining so quickly. I love my iPhone 13 mini bc the screen size and it’s easier to hold than my last iPhone 12. I’m really considering putting this MagSafe battery on my wishlist for christmas. Really good video👍🏻
Thanks happy to have helped also keep in mine I believe apple will replace the battery even out of warranty for like $70-80. Now I wouldn’t do this until the battery health is below 80% just to get the most of the current battery.
Yeah pretty much. Now if the phone gets hot it may not charge it as well then to keep the battery protected. But it usually won’t fall bellow 85% with the MagSafe connected unless it’s dead.

i think the magsafe battery pack on iphone 13 mini defeats the whole point of having a mini, itll be more bulky in your pockets with that battery pack rather than if you had a bigger phone without the battery pack
But you don’t need the battery pack everyday. Only on busy away from home all day days. So most of the time you just get to enjoys the tiny things phone. I don’t have the mini Andy Lee but I still miss it.
Love the combo, I use it myself. The only flaw of the MagSafe battery is the price 😉
Yeah but eBay has some good deals on it right now. Used but it’s so new that they still look great.
@@TheAppleBias I know, but I bought it the day it was released.
@@TheAppleBias Brian, I’ve been considering getting another one as a present. You mentioned eBay. Do you think they may be reliable units from people who didn’t like it ot deffective ones?
May be a mix. But you can always test it out and try to get Apple to replace it if it is defective.
@@TheAppleBias Excuse my ignorance, would Apple replace something I bought on eBay?
Why do you not have more subscribers? This channel is great. Subscribed
Thanks. Means the world. I’m still learning how all this work but for now enjoying the subscribers I do have.
I say this as a STRONG supporter of the Mini series:
Yeah I don’t use it very often. Mainly when I travel. But it’s great to have during those days.
Do you think there are other alternatives to Apple's magsafe battery pack which fits 13 mini?
I am not sure. I’m not a big fan of the 3rd party ones. Apples one has more access to the phones heat and things like that so it stops charging when the phone gets to hot and preserves the battery health of the phone better than the 3rd party’s will.
If you’re looking to save money on them. I’d look on eBay I bet they have new in box and slightly used cheaper.
thanks a lot for the quick reply. I will go for apple i think. @@TheAppleBias
Appreciate the overview as I've been wondering about this myself.
Happy to help.
after looking at the new 14 pros, i decided to get a 13 mini! I LOVED the 12 mini but had to sell it bc the battery was so bad, but after seeing everyone rave about how much better the battery is on the 13 mini compared to the 12 mini. i pulled the trigger! I cant wait to get it!
Awesome. Yeah I plane to do a year video soon. The health of the battery has last way better as well.
iPhone 13 mini is the best sized phone 📱. No hand held fatigue which comes holding a bigger phone.
It really is. I love my Mini.
Ohhh why you are telling me this. I guess I will buy this for the perfect combo with my iPhone 13 mini
Even after multiple year of use the MagSafe battery pack is still amazing.
My brother has the 13 Pro Max and I have the 13 Mini I like the Mini a lot more, and this battery I think is really cool I'll see if I can buy it
Amazon has it on sale. They also sale used version of it to even save more. amzn.to/3o83kuh
I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max myself but love the iPhone 13 mini. I’d love to have one just to… have it lol. Great video man.
Yeah I am holding my iPhone 13 Mini close this year. I am expecting the rumors to be true and the mini will disappear with the 14 which just kills me its such a great size.
This guy got potential
Thanks.
Wish apple has more colour options for it, not just dull white.
It would be even better when colours are matched.
Yeah. Ive seen some cool wraps and stuff on them or I think nomad made a leather cover for it too.
its not waterproof? and they should have made a bit smaller and with a case around it all so ieasy to bring etc
Not sure what you’re trying to say here. 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheAppleBias should have made it in a case and waterproof. Way more usefull
I hated the case version this one makes more sense. Super easy to remove when you no longer need it.
what is battery life of the phone with battery pack ? and how long will the magsafe battery pack last ?
I had the battery pack last over 12 hours at Disney when put on at the beginning of the day.
Do I have to take the battery off or can I just leave on the phone all the time?
If the phone ever gets too hot I’d probably take it off for a little. I like using MagSafe for a few things. Leaving it on all the time is fine.
@@TheAppleBias thank you
‘Missing File’ error @6:05
Yeah I mess that up and didn’t catch it until it was too late.
@@TheAppleBias thank you.
Yeah it should be able to charge it at the very least stop the drain. Only issue will be how hot the phone get when playing the game.
you're fucking great. i just got my iphone 13m, and the apple mag battery is on it's way today
Happy to have helped.
And it will work fine with a case on it???
Yep works great as long as the case is MagSafe compatible. I use it with my nomad case all the time.
I'm actually a freelance logo designer and like to help RUclipsr to design good looking logo for their channel but yours I think is quirky and good already, do you need any other design service? :)
Right now I think I am good. But I’ll try to keep you in mind if something comes up. Thanks for reaching out.
I am using a battery case for my iPhone 12 Mini and it does the job pretty well.
Good luck with the battery health 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Apples battery pack will project the health more than others. So far my health is still at 100% on the 13 mini.
@@TheAppleBias good luck 🤥
@@TheAppleBias haha of course how old are the 13 series?? Maybe 4 mhonts? Just stop your bs
Yeah it’s not that old yet but so far my battery health is doing way better than it was last year when I was using a 3rd party battery pack. Believe what you want tho.
1:47 Yes sir! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I could spend a whole day in an Apple store.
@@TheAppleBias I actually did….before COVID-19…..
will there be a hit on battery health ? because it is constantly getting charged... really want to get the mini but really concerned about the battery life as well as the battery health
@@TheAppleBias always the gentleman. Thanks Brian!
I've been using the iphone 7 battery case since 2016 with my 2015 6S and it didn't really impact anything, I later on stopped and when got a new battery, it degraded the same.
It supposdely is smart. It's just the truth it's 2 years max sometimes over a year for a battery unfortunately.
Does Apple say to use it this way? I only heard from other reviewers such as yourself.
I looked at the docks and didn’t see anything. I think it’s more what we have seen with how it works best.
Can you please do this video with the regular iphone 13? I want to see if the Masgsafs Battery pack is worth it ❤️
Sadly I just have the one phone. But I expect it to perform just as well with the 13. Only difference will be how well it stays on with the sliding issue I mentioned.
If it's any use to you, I use it also on a 12 Pro Max and I get about 6 hours of heavy duty usage.
@@justmy2pesos ooh Ok Ty! I really appreciate it❤️
@@TheAppleBias oh ok thank you very much!
@@Colevxs2526 you’re welcome.
I would think with a regular 12 you may be getting a good 8 extra hours of heavy duty usage.
Is it pocketable?
The battery and the phone? Very much.
😂😂😂😂😂❤ I love this guy
Thanks.
iPhone 13 mini team ❤
Wait. So if my phone is full it best putting on then than after its lower battery % ?
Yep you’ll get more time out of the day that way. The battery pack won’t even start charging the iPhone battery until it’s in the 80-90% range and it will tole to keep it there until the battery packs battery is depleted. And it’s less work and less battery usage on the pack to do that rather than trying to charge it from 10-30%.
@@TheAppleBias oh wow. Idk if my backpack is faulty or not cause when I stick it on sometimes it connects and then after 5-10 secs it disconnects off? I have so many questions to ask about the battery pack. How do I know if it's fully charged etc
@@TheAppleBias I have the exact same set up as u. Red mini and mag safe battery pack.
Also do u find ur mini freezes a lot? Mine is laggy and unresponsive at times..
There is a light on the bottom that turn green when the MagSafe battery is fully charged. Of you can pop it on the phone and look at the battery widget.
Yay. I’ve been waiting for this vid to drop. I’m definitely gonna get the MagSafe battery pack. Cheers 👍🏼
Glad to have helped with you decision.
Does battery health degrade faster in Mini than normal phones due to its size ?
That’s an option but the you’d always have this massive phone to deal with where the battery can me removed. You’d also lose the new features.
please make an actual battery test🙂
What would you like to see me cover?
Lmao😂my boy I’m typing on my iPhone 13 mini right now and my phone is Hot as Hell Burning my Hands!!
Yeah that can’t be good for the battery. Do you know what cause it to get that hot?
@@TheAppleBias I do not, I have had this phone for only a year and I do use it quite frequently so I know that’s not helping it but Yea!
GOD BLESS!

Brian,
did I finally convert you? LOL!
Yeah I finally. Broke and decided to give it another shot in November. Glad I did.
@@TheAppleBias I noticed from your review!
I'm glad it worked out!
@@TheAppleBias Hi Brian,
I hope you're doing great.
Also thanks so much for the support and watching my videos means a ton if you ever have a recommendation on a video you’d like to see don’t hesitate to ask.
Carry 13 mini + MagSafe battery pack OR iPhone 13 pro and no battery pack…such an easy decision
Which one did you go with?
@@TheAppleBias iPhone 13 pro (non max)…for me it’s great to no longer have to lug around a battery pack…the battery life is so unbelievable…that and my iPhone wallet and I’m out the door for the entire day
@@ClashingwithTofu prefer the mini. I had both same time and returned the pro. Too big and bulky.
Still having cash giveaway? I could make use of that cash
Sadly right now none of the videos are hitting the requirements for the giveaway. So thinking I am going to hold off for a bit and restart it up once I get a little larger.
@@TheAppleBias I see, well good luck! Do you know anyone need logo design?
it looks terrible, period.
What phone do you use?
It’s fugly
To each their own I guess.
But the design is awfull, dont know why they dont do like a classic battery case
I love the MagSafe battery way more than the case so much easier to remove when you don't want to have it attached.
Ookkk ...is a phone and a battery thing bro lol okkk
I’ve had my iPhone 13 mini for a year now and suddenly my battery is draining so quickly. I love my iPhone 13 mini bc the screen size and it’s easier to hold than my last iPhone 12. I’m really considering putting this MagSafe battery on my wishlist for christmas. Really good video👍🏻
Thanks happy to have helped also keep in mine I believe apple will replace the battery even out of warranty for like $70-80. Now I wouldn’t do this until the battery health is below 80% just to get the most of the current battery.
If the magsafe charged my phone to ~90% , whenever my battery would drop by 1% it would refill it until its out of battery?
Yeah pretty much. Now if the phone gets hot it may not charge it as well then to keep the battery protected. But it usually won’t fall bellow 85% with the MagSafe connected unless it’s dead.
@@TheAppleBias Ok . Thank you
