The Apple MagSafe battery pack is the best battery pack. I find myself using this battery pack over all the other ones I have. I have the updated Anker 622 and it stays relatively cool. I use it when I need the additional capacity the Apple just can’t deliver. I really wish Apple would release a larger capacity battery pack.
Great video. My only problem with the Apple version is that the iPhone battery can drain quickly while the battery pack can’t keep up. I was shocked when I was at a festival and my phone died while the battery pack stayed charged. It was nice being able to re-power a dead iPhone with it. I need to give Ankers product a shot
Glad yours is still working. I have had mine for over a year(have barely used it) and after fully charging the pack it wont hold a charge for more than 24 hours.
Bravo! This was a great video explanation of how the Apple Magsafe battery is supposed to be used. I had it all wrong, so thank you for straightening me out! I was planning to return it but I’m keeping it now. Thank you!
I finally got one. I use it more on my XR than my mini. The magnets on them, 13 mini and battery pack, aren’t as strong. But the case on my XR is strong and perfect. I hope the MagSafe case I bought for my 13 mini is as strong and can finally enjoy it.
I’ve had this since the 13 pro max dropped and i use it all the time , Whether it’s a plugged in charging pad or portable charger it’s an amazing apple product which I strongly believe is better than the competition
I love my Apple MagSafe battery pack better than the others that heats up my phone. With the Apple MagSafe battery I don’t have this problem. It charges 13 pro max from 20% to 90 with juice left over for my AirPods if needed.
I think that with this product you have to use it when you don’t use your phone. For instance let’s say you have 69% on your iPhone. If you need a lot of battery for the rest of the day make sure to « connect it » to your phone while not using it. Because if you do the opposite sometimes the battery will just not charge the phone or make it hot. That is with my 13 Pro Max. I love the concept of being able to « quickly remove it » after use. But man Apple battery smart cases (I had one with XS Max) just worked better. It was like always there. You had to care less about it than MagSafe battery pack. Even though I am sure it’s this product that made my XS Max went to 88% and it would randomly crash or power off.
holy, all i know is that when your battery is 0% they can only charge to 50-60% while itll be great if it can reach to 100% but i never knew that was the intention, pretty cool how u use it inte morning until 6 pm it’s still at 90 while my phone dies at 5 i really need this cause this
What is the overall life of this product? How does battries degrade overtime? Does apple show its battery health as well?? Will it still work as magsafe charger once battries completely degrade may be in 3 yrs???
thanks for helping me understand this lil amazing gadget, Tee! I knew there was something about this that seperates from other power banks, just wasnt sure how to go about it,as a new user to the iPhone world this seems like a must buy
Got an Anker MagSafe power bank (with the stand) for cheaper and bigger capacity. Works well for me. My friend has the Apple MagSafe power bank, and I prefer the feel of that and the animation.
You Got me excited I cpre ordered one before watching this video. I can not wait until it arrives. I am so glad I watched this I did not know that’s the original purpose. Thanks
So many people use this wrong I have the apple MagSafe battery pack, esr halo lock and a anker 632 but for daily usage it’s got to be the apple MagSafe battery pack for me
Can I ask why you have all 3? We are going travelling and I want a battery pack form my 14 Pro Max whilst we are on the beach all day. I’m considering the Anker 633 and the Apple MagSafe .. what do you suggest?
What do you think the Apple Magsafe battery vs Benks Magsaft bettery? I am currently using Benks and it is pretty much perfect and it does not heat up.
So basically you put this on and it maintains your battery. It’s not necessarily meant to go on when your phone is almost dead and you need to charge it back up to a usable percentage. Right?
I LOVED my MagSafe battery pack until about 9 months ago. It worked beautifully and gave me all the battery life I could possibly need for a day on my 12 mini charging to 90%. But something changed 9 months ago and if I leave the pack on my phone all the time and plug up a charger to charge both batteries, when I unplug it the battery pack automatically charges to 100% even though it’s not set to do so in the low power settings. This wastes a lot of power and reduces my battery life. I have tried it on my new 14 Pro with the same result. I have not found a workaround other than to remove the battery from the phone and reattach it, which is annoying as many times as I plug my phone in for things like Apple CarPlay. I even got a warranty replacement from Apple and it does the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
Hey Tee, saw your vid couple months back. It really is a battery extender more than an external power bank. Bought it then, no regrets since. So thx for that 👍🏻
Purchased one, because I was so sick of dealing dying battery and dealing with cables and like it or not I feel Apple accessories are best used with Apple products.Just a suggestion for those who need more power back up kingsons solar backpack love mine and yes it charges my iPad and powerbank via solar power integration solar panel
Question, I usually use mine when my phone gets low, I can usually get to 70% which is good but I never put it on while my phone is charged. Do you think that’ll keep it around 90% most of the day like yours?! Like your videos btw!
Does anyone know if it will degrade the battery on the battery pack if I primarily leave this on a desk and just always have it plugged in and only unplug if I need to take it somewhere?
I’ve been doing the same and most of the time it’s on my desk and I charge it when I need it and it still performs well. Don’t think you will have anything to worry about.
Thanks for the video . I am definitely going to buy one . I have the zerolemon one and it gets really hot and it doesnt charge my apple watch like it say it will
@@TechnicallyTee it’s a hit or miss with Moft accessories. Some people hate them and some people love them. I’m in the latter category. I use my Moft wallet everyday and I’m interested to try the battery pack. I love the fact that I can attach the battery pack and the wallet so I don’t have to take off the wallet to charge my phone. If Apple had that mod option, I might go with Apple’s battery pack but they don’t
People forget that this is not comparable with 3rd party alternatives. This properly integrates with iOS, and has many features the others can never have.
I have watched many reviews of this product and I can say you have explained it better than all of them combined. It makes more sense now to put it on at the beginning than waiting for the phone to get low on a battery charge. Exactly correct, it is designed to be a battery extender and not so much as an actual battery pack. Since it works with iOS it works as though the battery and an extension of that battery are one instead of just a power source. That's my take on what you have taught me. Thank you very much.
Im planning on having one of these batteries connected to my phone at all times and only actually have the battery pack on and charging when my phone is low (Kinda like those charging cases with the button on the pack to determine wether it's on or off) which one of these would work for me?
Another spot on review! I use this on days when Im in a lot of meetings or traveling. Put it on in the morning and it works great. I prefer to have this capability as opposed to looking for a place to plug in my phone when with clients. Great video.
Hey! When do you think the new version of it could be released? And could you plz advise any website for Black Friday or Christmas offer on this product in the US?
Great video following up on the Apple MagSafe battery pack. I use mine a fair bit and prefer it over the anker one with the stand. It works flawlessly and I find it lasts to the evening and then I pop it off and have 90ish percent to then get me through the evening/night. MagSafe is so handy as there aren’t any cables to deal with. Sometimes when I don’t want the bulk, I just leave this in my pocket and just pop it back on when I place my phone back in. It kinda lives in there so it’s working away in the background. It also came in real handy when I didn’t have charge on my AirPods, this gave me enough to keep me going throughout the day
bought it over others cause it has has temperature control which prolongs the battery in your iphone and you have iphone widget which shows you the charge level
Great video, Apple knows what they are doing when they design accessories for their products. Where did you get that case you had on the phone in the video?
Hey would you be able to check and see if the Apple MagSafe battery pack connects without any issues for the 14 pro rhinoshield MagSafe cases? Deciding whether to get it if it sits flush and doesn’t have issues with the camera bump.
I'm kind of confused about the Anker heating issue complaints. I'm using a Google Pixel phone with a MagSafe case, so that probably changes some things, but I've tried a handful of different Magsafe batteries these past couple weeks and the Anker 621 was one of the cooler ones. Maybe they revised the design?
I have both the Apple and Anker for my iPhone 13 Mini. I stopped using the Anker because the phone became hot , now I use the Anker to charge other phones using the USBC output and cable. I rarely use my Apple charger because I am a light user but when I am going to be out all day taking photos I carry the Apple Magsafe charger.
@@bengoey after some further testing I realized what my issue is, and it stems from me using an Android phone. Basically for wireless charging there are multiple standards. For 5W everyone uses Qi BPP (basic power profile). For more than that, there is Qi EPP (extended power profile) which my phone supports, Samsung fast charge (which only Samsung phones support), Apple's 7.5W, and then Apple's MagSafe 15W protocol. Anker only supports Apple's 7.5W on the 622 and 621 (haven't checked the others) so on my phone it runs at 5W and doesn't get warm. On the flip side, other chargers he recommends, like the ESR HaloLock 10k (which btw is an OEM unit sold by a dozen different companies, search for E33B to find it cheaper under a different brand or E33A is you want a 5K version) get extremely hot on Android. This is because on iphone they only support 7.5W, but (likely for marketing reasons) they support Qi EPP up to 15W. Which means it charges twice as fast on my Android phone and gets scary hot as a result. The Spigen charger is also only advertised as 7.5w, but goes to 9w on Android for some reason and gets so hot it turns itself off after 5 minutes.
A friend gave me one that he wasnt using. NGL I like it. My 13 Pro Max can get 3 days of use and around 18-20 hours of screen on time if I use it. Recently found a really dope 4 in one charger on Aliexpress. It has a cradle for the Apple Magsafe Battery pack so it can charge the battery pack while it holds the phone and charges it. Also charges my watch and wireless buds. Was only $25 but gave the battery pack a dual purpose. I can leave it on there was a Magsafe mount/charger or take it with me when I wont be able to charge for a day or two.

I got it myself yesterday trying it now on a full day of working 😎👌🏽
O you’ll be impressed. Let me know how it works out for you.
Absolutely love the MagSafe Battery Pack! Just got one for myself as an early Christmas gift!
Instantly subscribed!! Wonderfully explained!!
Thanks much appreciated! 💪🏽💪🏽
Finally someone who took the time to understand the product!! I just subbed!
I have one and I never saw it from that perspective, great. Thanks for the video
So it’s basically like the iPhone battery case I use to love that one
I bought this one immediately after watching your review. I slapped it on iPhone 14pro. It’s cool and handy. Cheers bruh!
Strangely i have battery packs with 5000mah (anker) which is more than tripple than the magsafe, yet it has barely double the capacity
I’ve had this since the 13 pro max dropped and i use it all the time ,
Whether it’s a plugged in charging pad or portable charger it’s an amazing apple product which I strongly believe is better than the competition
i just bought one because of your review... thank bro! you are the best!
from Malaysia
Thanks much appreciated!!💪🏽💪🏽
Anybody here use the battery pack as a bedside MagSafe charger as well? Seems like it would work well and always be ready to go.
I love my Apple MagSafe battery pack better than the others that heats up my phone. With the Apple MagSafe battery I don’t have this problem. It charges 13 pro max from 20% to 90 with juice left over for my AirPods if needed.
4:04 more people need to hear this. People think this is made to charge iPhone from near dead but it doesn’t work like that
I think that with this product you have to use it when you don’t use your phone.
Can I use it for heavy gaming?
This isn’t meant for heavy gaming. Might want to get you something with more capacity.
holy, all i know is that when your battery is 0% they can only charge to 50-60% while itll be great if it can reach to 100% but i never knew that was the intention, pretty cool how u use it inte morning until 6 pm it’s still at 90 while my phone dies at 5 i really need this cause this
What’s your cycle count and health now after doing this?
What is the overall life of this product? How does battries degrade overtime? Does apple show its battery health as well?? Will it still work as magsafe charger once battries completely degrade may be in 3 yrs???
thanks for helping me understand this lil amazing gadget, Tee! I knew there was something about this that seperates from other power banks, just wasnt sure how to go about it,as a new user to the iPhone world this seems like a must buy
I love my MagSafe battery pack , best one for my iPhone mini 13 hands down best one for iPhone ❤
Thanks
O yeah for sure once you understand the way it works you can appreciate it better.
I just got a MagSafe today. I’m starting to like it.
Been using mine for a couple of months as a nightstand charger , plugged in 24/7
Haven’t had any problems
What do you think the Apple Magsafe battery vs Benks Magsaft bettery? I am currently using Benks and it is pretty much perfect and it does not heat up.
Excellent review man. Thanks a ton, I think this will be the perfect companion for my 13 Mini when hiking and more. Sounds amazing
I’m glad to hear this since I just got one.😅
Good stuff
Great video mines coming Wednesday. Looking forward to it.
💯 % I had the same experience. It just works and is best integrated into the ecosystem.
ive been using the mag safe since i had my iPhone i use it everyday. and have zero battery anxiety
Question, I usually use mine when my phone gets low, I can usually get to 70% which is good but I never put it on while my phone is charged. Do you think that’ll keep it around 90% most of the day like yours?! Like your videos btw!
Nicely done! And wow, didn’t know this.
Will this battery fit my magsafe case for my S23ultra??
Just bought the Baseus 6000 mah 20w MagSafe battery. It fits perfectly on the back of a case on the iPhone 14 pro.
I was about to buy the anker 621 but you convinced me to buy the Apple MagSafe battery
Hey T just a heads up, Verizon has this for $75 right now. You don't even need to be a Verizon customer!
Yep I heard it was on sale there and that’s an amazing price to grab it for.
Does it only charge wireless? Or can i connect a usb c cable from the battery pack to the iPhone itself?
Does anyone know if it will degrade the battery on the battery pack if I primarily leave this on a desk and just always have it plugged in and only unplug if I need to take it somewhere?
I’ve been doing the same and most of the time it’s on my desk and I charge it when I need it and it still performs well. Don’t think you will have anything to worry about.
Thanks for the video . I am definitely going to buy one . I have the zerolemon one and it gets really hot and it doesnt charge my apple watch like it say it will
Yeah those do fairly good for just applying power but if I’m keeping my iPhone for a full year I want to keep my battery health the best I can.
Can you unbox and review the snap stand power set from Moft?????
I need to check it out because I've been hearing about these moft accessories.
Do you know if there’s any plans for a new version of this device?
When would apple launch magsafe battery pack to be charged by magsafe charger.
People forget that this is not comparable with 3rd party alternatives. This properly integrates with iOS, and has many features the others can never have.
Wow I had no idea!!! I’ve been using all wrong lol. I only put it on when I get low on battery. Great video brother 😊
Thanks much appreciated!
Do you recommend getting refurbished on Groupon for $50 or spend the extra money to get it for $70 at Walmart?
Im planning on having one of these batteries connected to my phone at all times and only actually have the battery pack on and charging when my phone is low (Kinda like those charging cases with the button on the pack to determine wether it's on or off) which one of these would work for me?
Another spot on review! I use this on days when Im in a lot of meetings or traveling. Put it on in the morning and it works great. I prefer to have this capability as opposed to looking for a place to plug in my phone when with clients. Great video.
Hey Tee, could you compare different screen protectors? Like Rhinoshiled’s. They have like 3 different ones and I don’t get what’s the difference
I’ll have to check them out. I know I plan on doing a best screen protectors video.
That’s cool man! Can’t wait
Is it worth it for 13pro max??
Not sure if to buy Apple battery pack or the belkin…
Is ur apple battery pack hot while charging ur iphone? Cuz mine is abnormally hot
Hey I recently just got one and I noticed that the battery pack dies fast and gets warm should i be concerned?
Check your battery health percentage
I just know dog house clean Af 😂 and he be the one cleaning it,… Great Content always get to the details
Dog house? Lol.
I like the one by moft because you can still use a stand on the back of the powerbank
I'm liking that reclaimed wood look of the desk 👀
Haha thanks bro.
@@OmairArif thanks for your research. I learnt something
What case are you rocking?
A friend gave me one that he wasnt using. NGL I like it. My 13 Pro Max can get 3 days of use and around 18-20 hours of screen on time if I use it. Recently found a really dope 4 in one charger on Aliexpress. It has a cradle for the Apple Magsafe Battery pack so it can charge the battery pack while it holds the phone and charges it. Also charges my watch and wireless buds. Was only $25 but gave the battery pack a dual purpose. I can leave it on there was a Magsafe mount/charger or take it with me when I wont be able to charge for a day or two.

Your solution does sound pretty dope though. Way to innovate 👏
How long does it take to charge the battery pack with a fast charger?
