Yup. It gets depressing the more you play! I'm glad I main her then! XD
So base on the lore, voiceline, R1 and W, basically Akalis using corrupted power but still keep her mind in check. This can make her special stronger than other SG,since they need at least 2 SG to fight 1 corrupted star. But it also make her easier to completely turn into darkness. Love it!
Like Mace Windu in Star Wars he using Dark Side Forms but still had Control of it so he doesn't Corrupted
It reminds me a little of Riku from Kingdom Hearts
lore wise xayah also can use both corrupted/dark power and light power

What I love most about this skin is the fact that she has literally every base Akali animation, just fancier.

It's a quote from an old movie called They Live staring WWF (the original abbreviation for WWE) Star Roddy "Rowdy" Piper. The original line goes "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum.. And I'm all out of gum"
The first quote always makes me laugh, its delivered so good and she's genuinely weirded out, never fails to give me a good chuckle
Akali and Chloe from Life is Strange now being voiced by the same actress is fantastic.
Say why you will about her voice working for default Akali, but it DEFINITELY works for Star Guardian.
Nobody questioned the actress’s skill for the default voice. It was clearly the directors fault not the actress, we know very well she’s capable of replicating the original VO
Yea I love this voice and think it fits the skin really well too! . . . but I really dislike the base Akali voice changes. I mean her old voice made her sound so cool and calculated like a ninja/assassin. But the new voice just makes her sound like a rebellious teen, I guess it fits the LoR lore? But maybe they could've made it so League Akali and LoR Akali are like different points in her life. Just my 2cents as an Akali main.
Edit: Didn't know they reverted the base voicelines! I'm a happy camper now!
@@mangofloat7742 I 100% agree. That was what I thought when I first heard it. They didn't give her enough direction. She did her famous "sassy tough girl" voice instead of a more assassin-like voice, which she's perfectly capable of doing. I really wish they'd have her do it again with better direction, but it's not likely.

I love how she hums and tries to sing “Everything Goes On!” I love this very much and dearly. Honestly, the Star Guardians Universe is the most beautiful and intriguing yet phenomenal to me. You did an outstanding job Porter for making this story more beautiful and emotional.. ☺️✨💕

The voice lines and the voice actress ARE SO AMAZING....literally the best delivery since I cant even remember...its funny, it has special connection with each guardian/nemesis, the delivery is perfect....well done on this
While it'd be another "ANother lux skin" meme. I think SG lux should get a love tap to be like the other legendaries. Not only is she important to the story, but the age on that skin is showing. She did start this skinline afterall and because of her this is the highest grossing skinline in the game.

"I'm not going to make your mistakes, Rakan you lost yourself" kinda fucked up considering Rakan sacrificed himself for Xayah to live
What Akali means here is that by dying, Rakan left Xayah alone and in severe depression and guilt. Akali was there when Rakan sacrificed his life and she saw how much Xayah broke from losing her lover. So SG Akali's whole thing is that, instead of sacrifice, you should survive for your loved ones so they don't have to pick up the pieces. Realistically tho, that was hard to do in Rakan's case cuz Xayah was dying from corruption.
Even when she kills her friends, she's being so encouraging and I love it.
I love how there's a megamind reference "I'm shaking in my custom baby seal leather boots" vs "I'm shaking in my pretty star guardian boots"

it’s an amazing coincidence when ashly voiced chloe price who was going through a tough time and also had a friend who didn’t message her often and she had time travel. and then all of those elements are in this skin, it’s so amazing. this is one of my most favourite legendaries along with sg xayah and coven eve. i thought that akali would get worse treatment than kaisa but i think everything about this akali skin puts kai’sas’ to shame 🤭
So basically she was corrupted but was able to control the power and became the edgy benevolent Queen
Actually, she's not corrupted or anything,she's just like Kaisa and the others but her ways are a bit different, star guardians are about all things good forgiveness and saving the people and the world, akali just believes not everything has to be sunshine and rainbows, people deserve punishment too

@@chuminhthuy2941 It's half corruption. The lore says that you need two SG's to fight a single corrupted at least, Akali was being corrupted but stops it, and in turn is now strong enough to 1v1 the corrupted cause she can tap into the same power they do.
That said, as she says herself, corrupted fall to doubt, and she doesn't have the usual mask of sunshine and rainbows that the rest of the SG's have that helps prevent that from happening, AND it appears that her team is sorta ostracizing her because of the partial corruption and her not being 100% on board with the whole thing anymore without the mask, so that probably isn't helping her mental much.
One of the best SG skins, Akali's color palette works amazingly well most def getting this one!
The Baron line is kinda interesting especially that he is on the Star Guardian Universe

Its a different voice actress from base, base is Krizia Bajos, while sg is ashly burch, which riot tried to replace base with but community backlash made them pull back on it
Ashly is fine but she always sounds.....like ashly, shes always herself, for example aloy from horizon 0 dawn and chloe from life is strange sound exactly like this

@@EpidemicPain Sadly, that’s likely the studio’s fault. She got renowned for both Tiny Tina and Chloe, with Aloy that just cements her reputation for those voices. It’s clear from her work that she has good range (Quacho Queen, Tiny Tina, Orendi, Bun Bun) but studios want her default voice the most because it’s recognizably her.
Same thing happened with Nolan North. Amazing voice actor asked to do his regular default voice for most of his work despite having amazing range. Though, I do believe that doesn’t diminish their work. Ashly and Nolan are absolutely legendary voice actors and amazing at what they do regardless of the direction that they’re given.
Sometimes studios would rather say hey we got Ashly Burch, Nolan North, Troy Baker rather than give them a role that tests their range as voice actors. =/

From the lore bits it seemed after the confrontation with Zoe in Valoran City, Lux's team is searching for Zoe bc they aren't wholly convinced that they defeated her. The battle in the city exposed Star Guardians to the world and I think it's supposed to be in memory of Star Guardians saving everyone. I think Ahri's team is on the same boat, but also searching for Rakan.

When they are affected by some negative effect (stun, knock up...) they perform this new animation (as if they were dizzy) I would love to see this in your videos, we could see it more closely, in addition to looking at how it looks in each chroma, because in the game it gets a little difficult hahahah
