Once you increase tire size you’re effective gear ratio drops. Hence the “resistance” as you described it. You’re running around a 3.47 ratio now. Throw some 4.11’s in and that will get you near stock 3.73 again. Which will make the tunes feel even better. That’s the one thing I see zero people do, regear after going from stock 32/33” to 35”+.
I'm not trying to sound like a a##hole but I honestly thought this was common knowledge. I've done this with every lifted vehicle I've ever owned as well as recalibrate the speedometer.
In my younger days I wanted a loud truck, now I want something nice and quiet! The tunes will not make any difference on the sound of the truck! Hope this helps thank you!
I have a stock 6.6 duramax L5P many injector issues im looking for emissions compliant tuner and tune do you think this is better than bully dog or edge etc etc any info much appreciated oh I only need tow and fuel mileage tune
For injector problems I would definitely get a Fass fuel pump! That will get rid of the air bubbles in the diesel, which will cut down on carbon deposits on your fuel injectors. If I had a l5p I would go with the Banks Derringer! It's extremely inexpensive with great horsepower and torque gains. Unfortunately with most emission compliant Tunes your fuel mileage will not get much better. Hope this helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask thank you!
The Pedal Commander Failed on me and put my truck into Limp Mode! I don't use it anymore! I wouldn't buy the pedal commander again! I need to make a Video about what happened. Thank you Miguel Lara!
I have these tunes they are good . ( not crazy like I expected) Mine is a 2011 LML. To be honest I really do not see/feel much of a difference between 4 and 5 . It really is not that diff . And I’m surprised you guys are saying it’s way too much on tune 5 . If you have a cts2/3 what is your calculated fuel rate reading. Just Curious. Want to make sure I’m getting all I can out of these tunes. Thanks
I'm wondering if you have a fass fuel pump, to deliver the fuel of these tunes need? I have a 2016 lml I'm not sure if the 2011 is much different. But the tunes do feel significant to me. Thank you for sharing! 😎👍
@@DURTYMAXLML Also I do not think there is any diff between the 2011-2016 . Would be nice to see what these trucks run down the 1/4 just to see . Nick says these tunes are estimated at 13.8-13.9 ( from his Dyno video in 2013) would be cool to k ow real world . Well keep in touch, I will as well if I ever get a chance to run it .
I added the fuel pump as peace of mind. Clean fuel and to remove air bubbles from diesel. It keeps the injectors clean. I still have the original fuel filter as well.
As you stated you are complaint....do you have any other mods? Intake or axle back exhaust? I'm interested in the compliant tuning but on the same token in hate that trumpet / musket tail pipe...i hear axle backs are a waste of money but I might pay to get rid if the hideous stock tail pipe
Yes I did get the support pack. I'm currently working with them Via Email only, No phone support available. Before I Speak on how helpful the support pack Is, All Give It Some Time...I will give an update soon. Thank you Fishing The World!
@@timAA205 so are the tunes apart of the support pack? Otherwise if you get the tunes, and everything works tune-key... Why would you need the support?
Too much talking on this video. Very little in content to show us the real world results, with visual evidence or effects/results- Before & After, etc…
I did look into PPEI tunes and I'm going to get both Duramax Tuner and PPEI and compare the two companies . I went with Duramax Tuner first because they have been making Emission compliant tunes longer than PPEI. Looking forward to see the results! Thank you Cristobal Herrera!
DURTYMAX LML I have DT tunes . They so far have been good . I will say I did expect more !! I have a 2011 100% compliant. I would like to know the difference between the two companies, I know Kory can make some power ( none compliant ) we will see how his compliant tunes are . Please let us know . When are you doing this ? Thanks
As soon as I can Afford New Tunes! LOL! I'm extremely curious which Tune Company will be better! Can't wait to find out! #PPEI. vs. DT. Thank you Heber Clement III!

That's an Awesome idea! All have to look in to that and see how much It would cost to do 4.11's front and rear!
Thank you Rev Rob!
Yep; that’s the right way to do things.

I was definitely nervous installing the switch too! But if you take your time it will all be ok
Is the speed limiter tuned out with the dt tunes?
Yep, no speed limit!
Does it make it any louder with tunes I have a stock lml and it’s way too quiet.
