I'm glad you spoke about your pain tolerance Gretchen, I have 15 piercings and everyone likes to point at them them ask if that hurts. I keep saying that, "Pain for me and pain for you are vastly different, you can't go about it based on my pain tolerance."
I’ll rank mine in order I got them: First lobes - 5/10 (done with a gun and they hurt so much after) Second lobes - 3/10 Helix - 4/10 Rook - 2/10 (it was just uncomfortable and didn’t hurt much at all) Septum - 7/10 (my sweet spot is small, so I think it went through cartilage)
I got my right double conch and that was painful. Still healing almost a year later but also my favorite cuz I have two small diamonds in them. My right tragus was awful too but it was because the piercer wasn’t the greatest.
Same girl same! I got my list ready and waiting! I was supposed to check one of them off toward the end of March but then COVID happened so I'm just playing the waiting game and shopping for jewelry that I don't need
Think about my first pierc'n, I want gauges, I've always thought they looked so cool! I love hearing you say pierc'n btw 😂 I've been watching a lot of piercing video's lately
I’m trying to remember each one but I think I swore out loud with my rook. Double helix was bad for the same reason as it was done one after another but that was the same as my double forward helix. I want to get another one when quarantine is over...maybe a flat...lots of empty space there 😁
I have a high pain tolerance but I would say my daith was the most painful (i was not expecting it to hurt that much but I would give it about a 7/8) I’d say my rook conch and helixes were all about a 3 on the pain scale Cannot wait to get out of isolation really want my right tragus done (already have the left one)
I only have a few piercings, here’s my order from most painful to not so painful: 1. Forward helix - I was in so much pain for the first few weeks I was almost ready to take it out, definitely a 8/10 2. Rook - It wasn’t that bad compared to the forward helix, only hurt for the first few days 5/10 3. Conch - Hurt like a bitch for the first few mins then was fine until I touched any part of my ear, was very swollen, also a 5/10, maybe even a 6 4. Tragus - Didn’t hurt as bad as I expected, probably a 4/10 5. Double helix - Healed the best, has absolutely no problems and only hurt when the needle was going through, a 2/10 if that 6. Lobes - i can’t really remember as I had them done when I was about 5 I want my double and maybe triple lobes doing after quarantine .
my daith actually healed amazingly. i got it done last year in February. it doesn’t hurt anymore. the actual piercing part was not that bad at all. it was just a lot of pressure and afterwards for about an hour, my head was throbbing and my ear felt warm
I got a double helix, too. Now for comparison, I got a helix 20 years ago and it wasn't that bad, but I eventually retired it. The double helix that I got recently (2023) the piercer pieced them at the SAME TIME. So yes, it was pretty painful.
My tragus was more uncomfortable rather than painful. The noise bothered me the most but not enough to never get it pierced again (which is why I did my right side twice)
I actually had like the exact same experience with my septum! My piercer had to like stop in the middle of the piercing because things got stuck. It was horrible 😅
My tragus is small too! I had been so worried if I could even get it pierced. So what we decided on is, instead of centering it in the tragus, we put it a little lower where there was a slightly wider area ☺️ got it done about a month ago and I’m loving it
I have 9 holes in my ears and I have to say the most painful one out of all of them was my daith/doth. The initial piercing itself wasn’t terrible, but when I first had it pierced my piercer put a hoop in, and having to twist the jewelry to get it in the right place was the most painful part!! Also... That has been my worst one to heal. I don’t know why, but I’ve had it for over a year now and just in the last 3 months I got a minor infection in it, and felt like I had to start over with the healing process. It’s doing better now, and is back to normal, but I can’t believe how hard that one has been to heal. And I also have a double helix, (one was done 12 years ago and the other was done in September) and I thought those were hard to heal just because of location and stuff, but they’ve healed much faster than my Daith/doth has.. Crazy!! Thinking about possibly getting my tragus or forward helix done when this whole mess is over. Not sure if I want to yet, but those would be the next ones on the list if I do choose to get another one!!
Butterfly Galaxy Ooh, forward helix and tragus are both so cute. I have both done on my right ear, and the tragus was a dream - a little pinchy getting done, but so easy to heal. The forward helix - more painful, and kind of annoying during the healing process (but not nearly as bad as a regular helix piercing).
maryavatar Good to know. Thanks! :) I actually ended up skipping both, but am still possibly thinking about getting my tragus done. I just need to wear earbuds, so I am afraid to try because I can’t be without them for months while I am healing! I did however end up getting 2 new flat piercings in July of this year. My ear apparently is unique in the fact it doesn’t have a fold or crease in the upper cartilage like most people. I wanted something new, and left of open to my piercer, and she was super excited about these because they don’t get to do them very often. I just changed out the original studs, and they are super cute!! Something that is very uniquely mine as well, because apparently I have unique ears. There is also a possibility of adding more there and layering in unique ways if I want, so I am happy with those for now!!
I got my rook and thirds in one go, the rook was the first one I did and I don’t think the initial piercing hurt that bad. I don’t think I have a high pain tolerance, (or maybe I do) rather just an absurd amount of adrenaline when I get pierced due to fear. However, the rook healing hurts and is so annoying but I’ve only had it for 3 days,
I only have a few but here’s my ranking: Least painful: belly button (didn’t feel it at all 1/10) Middle: left helix (sharp pinch initially, throbbed for a few days, hurt to sleep for about a month and a half, 4/10) Most painful: lobes (done at Claire’s with a gun (bad I know, I was 14 and didn’t know better) stung a lot and took probably 4 years to heal completely and still cause me issues 8/10 Hoping to get a conch as soon as this quarantine is over
Ashley Brower Same here, I got my lobes pierced with a gun in November and it hurt like hell and still isn't completely healed. When I went to pierce my conch and forward helix (to a professional this time) in February I was very scared because I've heard everyone say how the lobes are nothing and cartilage hurts way more, but it was so painless to me because of the needle, that I ended up getting them both done at the same time which wasn't even planned, so that's another good reason not to get pierced with a gun ANYWHERE from my experience hahah
I got my conch done a month ago it when getting it was probably a 6/10 it throbbed for a bit but after 3 days it acted like it's healed i have had no problems so far with it
No, you’re not the only one with a list. I, personally, keep thinking I need to find a partner first before I undertake my list so she can provide her thoughts first , so, it might be a while before I get them. As I only have one piercing, I guess it was my most painful one but it was more uncomfortable than painful but it did bleed more than I expected.
Got my Rook done 3 days ago and the piercing pain was wayyy more intense than I thought it would be, took me by surprise because my helix was so painless. Worth it though.
All my piercings have been relatively painless so far, because (lucky me!) I have thin cartilage in general. The most "painful" one I got is my industrial, both as it was done, and through the healing process. It wasn't really painful in my experience, but it took forever to heal (over a year now, and every now and then it acts up a little). My tragus was completely pain free (I thought it was going to hurt, but I didn't feel a thing!), and my flat was uncomfortable but nothing much. I am hopefully getting a daith after the quarantine period is over (I am from Argentina, we will have been isolated for almost a month once this is over, so more than enough time to plan). I'm really looking forward to it!
Girl I’m dying to go get my rook or my conch or my third lobe! Not sure I got my double helix a few weeks ago before it all got shut down! I love my daith and my tragus! Those took over a year to heal but worth it!
I got a double conch back to back and omg it hurt so damn bad. I have my daith, a forward helix, right nostril, and a septum and none of them hurt even anywhere near as bad as my conch piercings. Like if I had to take them out, idk if I would get them redone because of how bad it hurt. I am thinking about getting a rook piercing and getting my daith didn't hurt at all, so I'm probably gonna get a rook done after isolation as well as a few tatts I have planned (I already have two tatts)!
I am getting my right tragus as soon as this pandemic is over!! I will also say my rook was the same pain wise, but it's been healing well!! Also, the yellow looks so good in your hair :)
Literally my daith and conch weren't painful at all. Just super uncomfortable since my ear is so small. My helix hurt initially more than my other two. Healing wise, conch has been the worst out of all three cause I seem to brush it on accident when I do my hair.
My daith hurt so bad. I have had many piercings done and they don’t bother me but I reacted awful to this one. I was light headed and nauseous and my whole ear swelled up even my neck behind my ear. I made the decision to get them both done at the same time and I am happy because I don’t think you could get me to walk back into a piercing shop to get another daith.
My piercer said the same thing about my sweet spot so I was fully prepared for my septum piercing to KILL but, thankfully, she avoided the cartilage and it barely hurt more than a lobe. My most painful was a mid-helix/auricle, which I think is because it was the last of 3 cartilage piercings I got in 1 sitting, similar to your double helix piercing. I'm curious about the pain of an industrial. Lots of people say they are one of the worst, but would it really be much different from a double helix?
For me the most painful was the rook but I had that pierced 2 days after my conch (Conch for me was pain free) then my anti navel was painful! But I'm getting both nipples done on Monday so I'm kinda dreading it!! Septum and tongue were my least painful, hardly felt them at all! My nostril and tragus were average pain wise
Most of what I have in my ear piercings came from the shop where I get my piercings done. Otherwise the majority of what I buy online comes from Urban Body Jewelry.
I’ll rank all mine in chronological order: - First Lobes: 2/10 - Second Lobes: 1/10 - Third Lobes: 1/10 - Double Helix: 1/10 - Nose: 0/10 (didn’t even feel it) - Navel: 3/10 (healing process was what bumped it from a 2 to a 3) - Septum: 1/10 I think I have a high pain tolerance, but eventually I’ll find one that hurts above a 3. I still want my tongue done.
double helix being 1/10 is what’s tripping me. I just think you’re downplaying it. all the rest I could understand. lobes, navel, septum; they’re soft flesh. (can’t comment on the nose, mine was done with a gun) but ear cartilage I couldn’t go lower than 4. you definitely feel it, I’ll say that. I could never put them on the same level as lobes, that’s ludicrous. UNLESS you’re comparing cartilage done with a needle to lobes done with a gun. THEN they’d be on the same page but they’d be a 4 or 5. crazy
I only have a couple of piercings rn but my most painful were when I got my lobes re pierced after they'd healed over. I guess they had to pierce through scar tissue or something because yikes
I have all the piercings you mentioned, apart from septum, and the least painful was the tragus. Didn’t even realise when the needle went through 😂 none of my piercings really hurt in the moment, but the healing for me is the worst. I recently had to give up my third lobe because it just wasn’t having it. It kept getting infected for over a year, and I had enough lol planning on getting my conch and right flat when this is all over 😆
The only piercings I have are my lobes, my nipple piercings and my vch. My VCH didn't hurt at all, however my nipple piercing hurt a lot but I love them. I can't wait to get my rook, faith and tragus piercings.
My daith was the most painful piercing I've gotten for sure. I have thick daith cartilage and mine was pierced pretty deeply. When I got it, the needle also nicked the top of my earlobe on its way out, which I barely felt at the time, but certainly bothered me for a couple of hours after. Still, it healed the easiest of my ear piercings, so I found that interesting.
I have my double lobes septum and retired my right helix and got my right tragus but the jewelry fell out The tragus and helix didn't hurt at all Septum had a small pinch with no bleeding and My lobes were done with a gun 1st ones at target and second ones along with the helix at the c word before I knew better and both times my ears turned dark red and purple and swelled up and burned and the short eating posts didn't help
my first septum piercing hit cartilage (was also just overall crooked and botched lol), so it might have been the most painful. i also remember my navel being bad, but i got it immediately after my helix and nostril, so it might've just been adrenaline wearing off, haha. i also have a really thick lip, so i felt every layer (especially the final ones) when i was getting my vertical labret....the things we do mannn
I have an industrial piercing on my right ear it was painful since it was double pierced. My pain level was 3. I had it done late last September. I do have 7 other piercings on my ears.
My septum was like a 2 for me, I didn't have any complications like you though. Which is amazing because my piercer told me that on top of my small nose I have a very slight deviated septum. I got lucky though cause she was not only know as the queen of septum piercings where I go but also, she had a ton of experience dealing with deviated septum. My left eyebrow was about a 2, heck I'd even say a 1 for me. My right labret was about a 2 as well and same for my tongue. I really wasn't bothered with my piercings, my helix's (1 on each ear) were maybe a 3, I can't really remember, but only because they were done with a gun which I know now it a no no. Luckily I didn't have any complications and stretched them from a regular earring size to a 16G.
I'm considering getting my tragus pierced. After the quarantine ends of course! It will be my first cartilage piercing. But I wear earbuds a lot throughout the day. Do you think that would be a problem?
Shouldn’t be a problem in the long run! As it heals, you might want to consider over the ear headphones, but once it gets past the initial healing phase, you should be fine.
Here is my piercing scale: lobes first and second holes. 1/10 Helix piercing 2/10 Tragus 2/10 didn't really hurt just the clamp did. Rook 2/10 Daith the first time 5/10 Double foward helix first 3/10 second 4/10 Daith second time since it fell out 7/10 After quarantine i really want to get a new tat of my zodiac sign on the side of my wrist and my conch or my flat not sure yet
If i could rate mine pain wise knowing i have a high pain tolerance , id say , from least to most painful : 5-Lobes ( 1st and 2 ends) 4-Mid helix and tragus 3-Low helix 2-Rook , daith and conch ( with 16 gauge) 1-Conch with 14g And even then id still give my 14g conch a 3-4/10 I can barely remember the pain or type of pain that happened during these piercings but what i can still feel to this day when i think about it was threading the daith ring through ... cause , if we’re being real is the woooorst part! ) that id give a 7/10
My helix hurt so bad and continues to be annoying. It was like 5/10. I didn’t feel my rook’s actual piercing (2/10), HOWEVER, the jewelry getting put in hurt so bad. It was worse than the helix.
The conch to me was the most painful piercing everrrrrrrr. Not to most people but for me it was hell. It's the thickest part of the ear .. not so much getting it done but Mannnn, the healing was painful! Lol
@@ojeda5577 SAME! I basically had an ear migrane afterwards for like 4 days straight! After that it turned into an ear ache and was fine. Healed fine. But the initial pain being like a 6 and the initial aftermath of the piercing was basically hell for those first 4 days. I also got a helix on one ear and a double helix on the other in the same day right after each other and those were fine/painless (the bottom of the double healed crooked so that one got taken out unfortunately. It ALWAYS had pus iritation bumps). And I also have my daith and left nostril and none of them even remotely compared to the conch in terms of pain! They were all basically nothing in comparison!
I have a high pain tolerance as well but i literally teared up and almost fainted when i got my septum done but I’d like to blame it on the fact that i haven’t eaten anything all day and the piercer was pretty shady because i couldn’t go to a normal piercing place since i was underage
My daith and my Medusa had 2 b my most painful out of my eleven piercings u would think my two 6mm/2g dermal punches would b my most painful there were not bad at all much love sweetie
Out of the 10 I've got I'd rank my rook as a 9/10, and the double conch I got immediately after a 7/10. Reasoning is that the needle got stuck on all 3(I must have really tough cartilage or something. I heard a small pop for all 3 and thought it was through, but just the tip of the needle had started to go through) and it took a good 3-5 seconds to get it through. I nearly passed out after the rook(I suspect due to the extreme pain and length of time to get it through), which was done first, then still wanted to to the other 2. No problems other than stuck needles on the other 2.
MY most painful one was my navel / belly button, I did ìt myself ( not the best idea ) I did it with a $10 amazon kit. I threw up and I almost fainted.. Having to manually push a needle through my skin ugh! I hate even thinking about it. I eventually got it done. I had to pierce it twice because the first time I didn't follow directions. I don't know how to describe the pain.. but it felt like being punched in the stomach? Don't recommend doing piercings yourself. I was 17 and a idiot
I have a very low pain tolerance. So my piercings were both painful for me. My tragus ranked 8/10 and I swore like a sailor. My daith was definitely a 10/10 and made me cry.
My most painful piercings I think it’s a tie between my nipples (I had two piercers so they could be done at the same time), my double forward helix, and left tragus. The piercer said it was an issue with him having the jewelry too tight so the needle was fine but he smashed the crap out of my head after the fact. Luckily he got his STUFF together before piercing my right tragus.
I wanted to get my tragus done soooo bad but was told by 3 piercers that my tragus is super tiny and wouldn’t even be on my ear, it would lay more on my face 😔 But my list goes like this: 1/10 for 2nd and 3rd lobes on the left ear 1.5/10 for 2nd and 3rd lobes on the right (my right lobe is thicker than my left for some reason and bled A LOT) 2/10 for both helix piercings on right ear After everything passes I definitely am gonna get a conch, a rook and even out the left ear with some helix piercings!
I just got my first cartilage piercing done last week along with my third lobe and unfortunately the shop I go to is having a buy one get one free so I was debating getting a rook or front helix done haha, I’ve seen a lot of ppl say the rook actually did hurt a lot and that the front helix isn’t as bad so im leaning towards getting it ofc Ik everyone’s experience is different so I won’t know until I try 😊 My beginner rankings rn: (I think I have relatively low pain tolerance?) First lobes: done with gun 2/10 Second lobes: done with gun 2/10 Helix: first piercing done with needle 3 or 3.5/10, made me wince during the procedure but no tears, had two rounds of pain lol with the jewelry going in Third lobe: needle 2/10
I only have ear piercings and so far the most painful is my flat piercings. But the healing process is way way better than my helix. After this is all over I will get another flat piercings.
My belly button hurt like a mother fucker. I actually passed out after I got it done, I was fine went to get up and walk back to leave and I passed out on my feet and my mom and SIL caught me..they ended up having to carry me out and it took me a good 15 minutes to stop shaking after I came to and I had to get some food into my ASAP. Keep in mind I’m an athlete so pain and injuries are nothing but damn it was scary passing out like that and the shaking after. (I have 3 lobe piercings, a daith, and my navel)
I don't have as many piercings as I would like as of right now, but the most painful was probably my industrial. Which feels like cheating because it's two holes and not just one, but also the cartilage there is pretty thick and the needle is a thicker gauge than a standard helix. (And the actual piercing itself is always pretty okay, my least favorite part is when they put the jewelry in XD But my industrial felt red hot for maybe 30 minutes after the fact and took a year to heal, so overall my least favorite, experience wise.)
Most painful getting done - the daith narrowly beats out my forward helix. I knew the daith was going to hurt, but I wasn’t expecting the forward helix to hurt. I should have though - I have chonky cartilage. The most painful healing - the top right helix - omg, if you have pointed ears, long hair and glasses, don’t get a piercing in the point of your ear. Sure, it looks cool, but it will be a bitch to heal. I think it took about 18 month to settle - I almost gave up on it so many times, but I’m stubborn.
None of mine were painful except my first nostril piercing. Which I know, no one thinks they are painful, I had my rook, done 3 times, not at all painful, my daith wasn’t painful, Shen men, flat, industrial, second nostril which was done 3 times, septum, both tragus’, conch, none of which were painful, only my first nostril.
Trevia Reed , it is a very underrated piercing, not many talk about it at all, it is supposed to help with anxiety, it is located near where the rook goes, like kind of where that little indent is, that is the shen men. It does not go through two areas of cartilage like the rook does, only the top. I have not seen one video of the shen men piercing, but my piercer knew exactly what it was.
• Even though I don't remember my lobes since I was 3 when I got them judging from when I got my 2nd lobes it must have been the lightest, obviously. (1/10) • i got my helix done when I was very young and had no idea I should have had it done with a needle since I had done zero research. The process didn't hurt as much but the healing really tortured me (5/10) • My daith it is the last piercing I got and it was uncomfortable but not *that* painful, but still not my worse. (6-7/10) • My most painful one will always be the conch it hurt so much and even kept throbbing afterwards for days and still was easily irritated after months (definitely a 8,5/10)
My most painful piercing of all time is my anti navel, then the conch, rook and may be the daith, but this one wasn't that much painful. I also have my double lobes, helix, tragus, septum (but now retired) and tongue pierced
I only have enough money for one new piercing so I want to make it count. I know everyone's ears, aesthetics, and pain tolerance are different, but (to anyone watching this) would a rook or conch look/feel/heal better? I already have five lobe piercings and a double helix.
Here’s my ratings: First lobes: like 1/10 Second lobes: like 2/10 Third lobe that actually turned out to be the very bottom of my cartilage, oops: like 4/10, but the healing was horrendous for that one. Thankfully, after like an entire year, it was healed. Auricle/helix, not sure what to consider it: 5 or 6/10 Rook: 8/10 Daith: hopefully won’t be more painful than my rook! Can’t wait to get that one.
•My most painful was the industrial… 10/10 •Nostril was 3/10 •Lobes was 8/10 Second lobe(i have only 1 second lobe piercing) 0/10. The reason why it was literally no pain was because when i was a baby they didnt hold my head still and ended piercing my higher lobe part on one of my ears. My parents had to take them out cuz my head was so tiny that the back of the earring was cutting my head. So when i was 14 … i took a stud earring and poked it through the thin layer of skin … with some toothache numbing gel. Im just gonna say, it was a bad idea to put toothache gel on it and poke it with a stud but it didnt get infected like all my other piercings🤓. Im 15 btw with 5 piercings but i count the industrial as 2 piercings in 1. So basically 6
L U I S 7 I was looking at nose retainers and they have a 20g nose retainer on lulusbodyjewelry.com you could probably use it anywhere it doesn’t have to be the nose
My best friend in high school wanted her sternum pierced as she already had 3 neck piercings. Our guy was lining up her collar bones and apparently hers are off center so the piercing would look weird. But he was just quiet for a while figuring it out and then all the sudden was like “Did you get hit by a fucking truck or something?” And we both cracked up.
I have 15 piercings, for me the most painful was without a doubt my septum, it hurt like a bitch, especially the clamp. I still wince thinking about it! A close second was my right nostril. All my friends who already had theirs done told me it wouldn't hurt, but for some reason mine was so painful. I must have one hell of a thick nose! 😂
That is shocking to me, as my septum was the easiest I've ever had! Meanwhile other than my daith which hurt because I freaked myself out, my nostril was the worst for me 😂
@@simoneq2340 I think what made my septum so painful was that the piercer pierced me through cartlidge instead of my 'sweet spot', which is where the needle should go. I honestly felt like I'd been punched in the nose.
I know everyone’s pain is different but I think my pain’s tolerance has just come out of my body and just said BYEEEEEEEEEEE like sis I have 25 piercings and my most painful was my conch and it didn’t badly like what’s happening 😭😭✋
which piercings do you have? I’m always suspicious when people say they have that many piercings because 9 times out of 10, half of them will just be lobes or helix. 😅
I'm glad you spoke about your pain tolerance Gretchen, I have 15 piercings and everyone likes to point at them them ask if that hurts. I keep saying that, "Pain for me and pain for you are vastly different, you can't go about it based on my pain tolerance."
I’ll rank mine in order I got them:
First lobes - 5/10 (done with a gun and they hurt so much after)
Second lobes - 3/10
Helix - 4/10
Rook - 2/10 (it was just uncomfortable and didn’t hurt much at all)
Septum - 7/10 (my sweet spot is small, so I think it went through cartilage)
I got my right double conch and that was painful. Still healing almost a year later but also my favorite cuz I have two small diamonds in them. My right tragus was awful too but it was because the piercer wasn’t the greatest.
Same girl same! I got my list ready and waiting!
I was supposed to check one of them off toward the end of March but then COVID happened so I'm just playing the waiting game and shopping for jewelry that I don't need
This is my list (1 is most painful and 5 is least painful)
1. Rook
2. Belly button (don’t wear it anymore)
3. Septum
4. Conch
5. Daith
I want to get another one when quarantine is over...maybe a flat...lots of empty space there 😁
I got a flat almost two weeks ago and it’s so beautiful! Go for it! It’s worth it!! 😊🌸
I have a high pain tolerance but I would say my daith was the most painful (i was not expecting it to hurt that much but I would give it about a 7/8)
I’d say my rook conch and helixes were all about a 3 on the pain scale
Cannot wait to get out of isolation really want my right tragus done (already have the left one)
I only have a few piercings, here’s my order from most painful to not so painful:
1. Forward helix - I was in so much pain for the first few weeks I was almost ready to take it out, definitely a 8/10
2. Rook - It wasn’t that bad compared to the forward helix, only hurt for the first few days 5/10
3. Conch - Hurt like a bitch for the first few mins then was fine until I touched any part of my ear, was very swollen, also a 5/10, maybe even a 6
4. Tragus - Didn’t hurt as bad as I expected, probably a 4/10
5. Double helix - Healed the best, has absolutely no problems and only hurt when the needle was going through, a 2/10 if that
6. Lobes - i can’t really remember as I had them done when I was about 5
I want my double and maybe triple lobes doing after quarantine .
nooooooo i was just gonna get a foward helix
my daith actually healed amazingly. i got it done last year in February. it doesn’t hurt anymore. the actual piercing part was not that bad at all. it was just a lot of pressure and afterwards for about an hour, my head was throbbing and my ear felt warm
I got a double helix, too. Now for comparison, I got a helix 20 years ago and it wasn't that bad, but I eventually retired it. The double helix that I got recently (2023) the piercer pieced them at the SAME TIME. So yes, it was pretty painful.
Nice Dead Posey t-shirt!
My two most painful were my conch to conch industrial and my philtrum. My took piercing was like. A 1 or 2 out of 10, same with my conch
To me, the rook was the worst for pain and healing. It really put me off getting more piercings, but I’m happy with what I have at the moment 😊
My tragus is small too! I had been so worried if I could even get it pierced. So what we decided on is, instead of centering it in the tragus, we put it a little lower where there was a slightly wider area ☺️ got it done about a month ago and I’m loving it
I have my daith pierced also wasn't painful to get done just a nightmare to heal but all good now xx hope you are well and staying safe 🖤🖤
However, the rook healing hurts and is so annoying but I’ve only had it for 3 days,
I only have a few but here’s my ranking:
Least painful: belly button (didn’t feel it at all 1/10)
Middle: left helix (sharp pinch initially, throbbed for a few days, hurt to sleep for about a month and a half, 4/10)
Most painful: lobes (done at Claire’s with a gun (bad I know, I was 14 and didn’t know better) stung a lot and took probably 4 years to heal completely and still cause me issues 8/10
Hoping to get a conch as soon as this quarantine is over
Ashley Brower Same here, I got my lobes pierced with a gun in November and it hurt like hell and still isn't completely healed.
I got my conch done a month ago it when getting it was probably a 6/10 it throbbed for a bit but after 3 days it acted like it's healed i have had no problems so far with it
Miodrag Mandarina Yeah I want to get more piercings and the ones I’m most scared to get are my second lobes because of that experience
K.S Rabbitry Good to hear you had a good experience with the conch. Just waiting to be able to leave my house...
@@ashley_brower hahah yeah I wanna get my second and third lobes when I can leave
Here's my list !
First lobes-1/10
industrail-5/10
Conch-7/10
I want to get my second and third lobes when this is all done!
My septum went through cartilage too😂but worth the pain, such a cute piercing😍 loved the video👍💕xx
I’m curious where do you buy your jewelry? It’s just my style and would love to find them
Most of what I have in my ear piercings came from the shop where I get my piercings done. Otherwise the majority of what I buy online comes from Urban Body Jewelry.
I’ll rank all mine in chronological order:
- First Lobes: 2/10
- Second Lobes: 1/10
- Third Lobes: 1/10
- Double Helix: 1/10
- Nose: 0/10 (didn’t even feel it)
- Navel: 3/10 (healing process was what bumped it from a 2 to a 3)
- Septum: 1/10
I think I have a high pain tolerance, but eventually I’ll find one that hurts above a 3.
I can't wait to get my rook, faith and tragus piercings.
very unique piercing journey. you went from standard common lobes, straight to genital. the definition of “that escalated quickly”
@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken it did escalate quickly lol. I now have a rook, tragus and conch piercing to the collection.
Your ears are so simplistically pretty! :D
I have my double lobes septum and retired my right helix and got my right tragus but the jewelry fell out
The tragus and helix didn't hurt at all
Septum had a small pinch with no bleeding and
My lobes were done with a gun 1st ones at target and second ones along with the helix at the c word before I knew better and both times my ears turned dark red and purple and swelled up and burned and the short eating posts didn't help
my first septum piercing hit cartilage (was also just overall crooked and botched lol), so it might have been the most painful. i also remember my navel being bad, but i got it immediately after my helix and nostril, so it might've just been adrenaline wearing off, haha. i also have a really thick lip, so i felt every layer (especially the final ones) when i was getting my vertical labret....the things we do mannn
I have an industrial piercing on my right ear it was painful since it was double pierced. My pain level was 3. I had it done late last September. I do have 7 other piercings on my ears.
You are sooo pretty! can you do a makeup tutorial some day? 🥰
I had my double cartilage right after eachother my ear was on fire but I can’t say it hurt at all but my rook hurt a bit
My left helix piercing was a 10 pain lvl. Whereas my right helix didn't hurt really at all.
My most painful was the conch but it wasn’t that bad but out of all of my piercings it was the worst
That dont hurt I got it done didnt even hurt
I'm considering getting my tragus pierced. After the quarantine ends of course! It will be my first cartilage piercing. But I wear earbuds a lot throughout the day. Do you think that would be a problem?
Shouldn’t be a problem in the long run! As it heals, you might want to consider over the ear headphones, but once it gets past the initial healing phase, you should be fine.
@@GeauxGretchen Thanks for answering my question. Love your videos!
Here is my piercing scale:
lobes first and second holes. 1/10
Helix piercing 2/10
Tragus 2/10 didn't really hurt just the clamp did.
Rook 2/10
Daith the first time 5/10
Double foward helix first 3/10 second 4/10
Daith second time since it fell out 7/10
After quarantine i really want to get a new tat of my zodiac sign on the side of my wrist and my conch or my flat not sure yet
I want my septum done really bad
If i could rate mine pain wise knowing i have a high pain tolerance , id say , from least to most painful :
5-Lobes ( 1st and 2 ends)
4-Mid helix and tragus
3-Low helix
2-Rook , daith and conch ( with 16 gauge)
1-Conch with 14g
And even then id still give my 14g conch a 3-4/10
I can barely remember the pain or type of pain that happened during these piercings but what i can still feel to this day when i think about it was threading the daith ring through ... cause , if we’re being real is the woooorst part! ) that id give a 7/10
My most painful - nipples, it was dreadful comparing to anything else xD
My helix hurt so bad and continues to be annoying. It was like 5/10.
I didn’t feel my rook’s actual piercing (2/10), HOWEVER, the jewelry getting put in hurt so bad. It was worse than the helix.
I actually want to get a conch but i have a lot of respect for That one✌🏼😅
My daith almost made my shed a tear. Hurt almost as much as a Novocain shot but a week later n I don’t feel much of anything
Our country's community quarantine will end on my birthday and when this is over I'll go and have my rook piercing as a birthday gift for myself ❤
No problems other than stuck needles on the other 2.
my septum was for sure the most pain full , least was tongue (yes it hurts less than earlobes)
😭 no judgments. as long as you didn’t flinch.
What is your favourite stretching jewelry? I'm stretching my ears to a 2g...and I'm looking for some silicone ones
Glass is my favorite material. Remember, silicone should only be used once everything is healed.
I wanted to get my tragus done soooo bad but was told by 3 piercers that my tragus is super tiny and wouldn’t even be on my ear, it would lay more on my face 😔 But my list goes like this: 1/10 for 2nd and 3rd lobes on the left ear 1.5/10 for 2nd and 3rd lobes on the right (my right lobe is thicker than my left for some reason and bled A LOT) 2/10 for both helix piercings on right ear After everything passes I definitely am gonna get a conch, a rook and even out the left ear with some helix piercings!
how was getting your medusa pierced?
I just got my first cartilage piercing done last week along with my third lobe and unfortunately the shop I go to is having a buy one get one free so I was debating getting a rook or front helix done haha, I’ve seen a lot of ppl say the rook actually did hurt a lot and that the front helix isn’t as bad so im leaning towards getting it ofc Ik everyone’s experience is different so I won’t know until I try 😊
My beginner rankings rn: (I think I have relatively low pain tolerance?)
First lobes: done with gun 2/10
Second lobes: done with gun 2/10
Helix: first piercing done with needle 3 or 3.5/10, made me wince during the procedure but no tears, had two rounds of pain lol with the jewelry going in
Third lobe: needle 2/10
I will defenetly get all the piercings I want done as soon as this shit is over.
I was told my tragus was too small to pierce 😔
Ever since quarantine started I decided to stretch my ears ! I can’t wait to start stretching
My tragus is too small to actually peirce💔
None of mine were painful except my first nostril piercing. Which I know, no one thinks they are painful, I had my rook, done 3 times, not at all painful, my daith wasn’t painful, Shen men, flat, industrial, second nostril which was done 3 times, septum, both tragus’, conch, none of which were painful, only my first nostril.
What is a shen men?
Trevia Reed , it is a very underrated piercing, not many talk about it at all, it is supposed to help with anxiety, it is located near where the rook goes, like kind of where that little indent is, that is the shen men. It does not go through two areas of cartilage like the rook does, only the top. I have not seen one video of the shen men piercing, but my piercer knew exactly what it was.
Trevia Reed check out makeup mommy, she got hers done
• Even though I don't remember my lobes since I was 3 when I got them judging from when I got my 2nd lobes it must have been the lightest, obviously. (1/10)
• i got my helix done when I was very young and had no idea I should have had it done with a needle since I had done zero research. The process didn't hurt as much but the healing really tortured me (5/10)
• My daith it is the last piercing I got and it was uncomfortable but not *that* painful, but still not my worse. (6-7/10)
• My most painful one will always be the conch it hurt so much and even kept throbbing afterwards for days and still was easily irritated after months (definitely a 8,5/10)
My most painful piercing of all time is my anti navel, then the conch, rook and may be the daith, but this one wasn't that much painful. I also have my double lobes, helix, tragus, septum (but now retired) and tongue pierced
interesting..why’d you retire the septum?
I just got my nose pierced that hurt pretty bad I was shook 😂😂but the industrial was pretty intense as well
here’s my list lol
-septum 3/10
-eyebrow 2/10
-helix 4/10
-nipple 5/10
-bellybutton 7/10
getting a christina piercing (😼) tomorrow,
I only have enough money for one new piercing so I want to make it count. I know everyone's ears, aesthetics, and pain tolerance are different, but (to anyone watching this) would a rook or conch look/feel/heal better? I already have five lobe piercings and a double helix.
Get the conch. I have a rook and conch in my right ear and a double conch in my left ear.
I had One helix , Industrial, Belly Piercing and ear lobe did not hurt at all but my Tragus did hurt for me never again 😂
I've been wanting a rook during quarantine
Here’s my ratings:
First lobes: like 1/10
Second lobes: like 2/10
Third lobe that actually turned out to be the very bottom of my cartilage, oops: like 4/10, but the healing was horrendous for that one. Thankfully, after like an entire year, it was healed.
Auricle/helix, not sure what to consider it: 5 or 6/10
Rook: 8/10
Daith: hopefully won’t be more painful than my rook! Can’t wait to get that one.
I have a rook and a daith piercing and I can tell you that the rook hurt about twice as much as my daith piercing, so don't worry :)
•My most painful was the industrial… 10/10
•Nostril was 3/10
•Lobes was 8/10
Second lobe(i have only 1 second lobe piercing) 0/10.
My most painful piercing was my PA its was a 9 out of 10
#TeenyTragusClub represent!
Was it bad for you? I have a small one but have an appointment to get it done this weekend! 😳
My list
Forward helix : 6/10
Smilie: 2/10
Nipple piercing 20/10
Does anyone know where I can find 20g retainers? I can’t seem to find any that size.
L U I S 7 I was looking at nose retainers and they have a 20g nose retainer on lulusbodyjewelry.com you could probably use it anywhere it doesn’t have to be the nose
Jazzy Wolf thanks!
L U I S 7 you’re welcome! Glad I could help 😊
My eyebrow..
I’m sad that I can’t pierce my rook… my piercer took one look at my ear and went “no” 😅😭
why? I can't do my daith. :(
My most painful was my industrial. Second was my tongue
Daith was the most painful. Also hated how many noise I could hear like the needle going through🤮🤮 probably a 7/10 for pain
My piercer pierced my septum through the cartilage and that hurt A LOT lmao
Oh yikes! 😱
I read your sign as like sub smell I've lost it
My nipples were a 7/10 and my belly button was a 9/10. My pierced thought that was the weirdest thing when I told her 😂
