@@pbrigitta267 if you avoid eating anything really grainy/crunchy for the first 2 or so weeks so no little bits risk getting stuck while its healing theres very low risk of infection. The mouth is a really fast healing area of the body so you dont "suffer" too long 😁 (antiseptic mouthwash is always handy also!)

Making sure to downsize the barbell and balls when you can especially helps with any speech stuff, as well as any bad habits of biting on it. I say go for it girl! 😁
I got mine pierced. It actually healed pretty fasted. And I got my lip pierced 2 times. The second time it healed kinda slow. I honestly ate spicy after a few days. But go at your own pace.

@@janalach7034 well actually it depends on the person. I had mine done on a Friday and I could eat on monday but I could eat properly on Wednesday so. And talking a lot helps. So does drinking cold water and sucking on ice. But im a gamer gal so I was talkking often

Revisiting after finally getting my tongue piercing, waited half a year for it. Some tipps that helped me: I Took Ice with me, so i cooled it directly after piercing in the carride, and constantly had ice on my piercing, so it really didnt hurt at all, just the first 2 days the ball on the bottom hurt, but it gets better after the tongue swells. - dont play with it, after it hurt the first 2 days i pulled the bottom part and pulled it over my teeth so it doesnt Touch the bottom of my mouth and because of that my tongue got a little crack that got infected and now i need to wait a week longer until the sweeling goes down. - i didnt know that you shouldnt eat/drink anything with sugar in it, since it helps bacteria to grow, but it does make sense, so just pay attention to that. - a good alternative to milk is Rice milk, since it does taste a Bit sweet (i only Drink that in like the second week since i needed something sweet, i was sufferiiing 😂 I still do coffe with it rn cause it tastes better than milk imo) - the piercer told me to only use mouthwash twice a day,so i did it after lunch and before going to Bad. After the crack in my tongue got infected i also washed my mouth out with salt water (1 teaspoon-250ml) after every meal and also between. Hope something helped, just never saw some of them and wanted to share it :)
It is actually the most less painful one of all piercing it doesn’t hurt bad even in the piercing moment. It is very uncomfortable. And The swelling is annoying but it doesn’t hurt. You are just not used to it. Get it. It is worth it 😌
It was the worst piercing I got honestly lol the healing was the worst. Couldn’t eat right or talk right cause the pain was too bad lol and then when the swelling goes down the bar is long because they make it long to account for swelling so it gets in the way.

The fours days after you get your tongue pierced are torture. I have had mine for over 10yrs now and on day 2 I almost took it out! Day 5 woke up and the swelling was gone. So for anyone thinking about getting it, hang in there. It’ll get better. (Speaking from my experience of course). Also POPSICLES and ICE COLD water are your friends. Helps so much with swelling. 😜

Vans aesthetics I was terrified to get mine done too for some reason even though I have plenty of other piercings 😂 It doesn’t hurt at all and if you take ibuprofen every 4 hours it helps with the pain/swelling. I ate a burrito the next day because I was starving lol- I did it, it just took a really long time. So worth it though!
Vans aesthetics Anything cold helps too! Ice cream and really cold water will be your best friend! The healing process wasn’t that bad for me. I’m on day 4 now and it isn’t swollen and it doesn’t hurt anymore.

I used gel peroxide which I bought at my local pharmacy. That helped it heal real quick. It’s called glyoxide liquid oral cleaner.
My piercer told me not to put ice in my mouth that I should avoid cold and hot things

lots of soups esp canned soups are high in sodium which increases swelling. probs why she chose to eat baby food instead

Vans aesthetics I was terrified to get mine done too for some reason even though I have plenty of other piercings 😂 It doesn’t hurt at all and if you take ibuprofen every 4 hours it helps with the pain/swelling. I ate a burrito the next day because I was starving lol- I did it, it just took a really long time. So worth it though!
Vans aesthetics Anything cold helps too! Ice cream and really cold water will be your best friend! The healing process wasn’t that bad for me. I’m on day 4 now and it isn’t swollen and it doesn’t hurt anymore.

you should do an infusion of sage or chamomile, freeze it in little cubes and hold it in your mouth. the swelling should go down 🤗

I wanted to get a tongue piercing for over a year now but somehow never got around to do it xD You basically inspired me to go get it done now. Guess what I did today lol
(Before anyone freaks out, I didn't get it just because of Naomi, she simply pushed me to finally go do it. It's not my first piercing either ;3)
Eat and drink cold things. Doin that help the tongue inflammation. I did it. I was very well and I start getting better

and I still have vivid flashbacks
the piercer was shit and had to stick the needle through twice to make it go straighter and my tongue swell up so bad after that I was contemplating to take it out before I can't breathe anymore. I pulled through.
But I'd say it is one of the most painful piercings I ever had and I've had some very very painful ones

I recently got a disease that caused wounds all over in my mouth and in my throat and tongue, so I relate to you a lot! I couldn't eat anything and it was painful as hell. Be careful and do not eat acid or salty things or even fruits are pretty acid- be careful

I regretted my tongue piercing instantly lmao but it’s my favourite now. I found eating liquids so hard so guuuurrllll try eating some chicken nuggets broken up into tiny pieces and put them into your mouth under your back teeth it’s SO much easier than liquid🤪
