I have my snug and I'm not gonna lie I was scared for all of the same reasons! My piercer sat with me for 15 minutes basically trying to convince me that it would never heal, and that I shouldnt get it done. But I had been wanting it for forever, and I was stubborn and said I wanted to go through with the piercing anyways. And yes. It hurt. But it wasnt my worst, my daith was much much worse, but it got very very swollen, and then it went down almost completely and it's been fine ever since! I know everyone heals differently, and deals with pain differently, but if you want it, I say go for it!!
Got mine two months ago, it was never swollen. Didn’t hurt much if i didn’t touch it. the jewel fucking fell out and i couldn’t get it back in 😭😭 at least now i have a cool scar but i’m really sad about it
I always loved conch piercings but whenever I looked up peoples experiences they said it hurt like a bitch and I’m a baby when it comes to pain so I figured I’d never get it. 2 weeks ago me and a friend went to get piercings and last second I changed my helix to a conch without thinking about the pain much it didn’t hurt at all so I’m so happy with how it looks and it’s already healing quickly.
I have had my industrial for about 8 years now, and it was a very tough piercing to heal, I wanted a 14kt gold bar, and that particular one only came in 16 ga, so I went with it, and that was all it took for it to heal! I can still get a 14 ga in, but I like the smaller, more dainty bar a lot better. And it’s gold!
I wear a 16G industrial and have it in silver, gold, black, rainbow, rose gold and blue, it was a multipack from bodyj4u I dont really wear blue jewelry but the others are beautiful
@@diannadiguardi yeah I have quite a few piercings, on one ear I have 3 helix and 3 lobe piercings but my first is stretched, on the other my industrial and the 3 lobes with one stretched, i have both sides of my nose one side has 2, my septum, labret and medusa. As well as my nipples, 3 navel piercings and 3 genital piercings. It's expensiveto get everything in every colour but some of them arent fully healed yet so I have plenty of time to stock up. Aiming to change it all to black for my 21st in April
Elodies Lambs girl I was about your age when I got mine and it’s more painful after but I love it so much. I am 24 now and to this day it is still my most favorite piercing!!! I would 100 percent get it again!!!!
I have had my snug pierced for around four years. It gave me no issues with healing and wasn’t that painful to get. I do believe I have a high pain tolerance when it comes to piercings though. It was one of my first like big piercings and I still absolutely love it and would say that if you like it then you should totally go for it!
I got my industrial 4 years ago and it took over a year to heal for me, but that’s because I was dumb and never got my bar downsized and it would get caught on everything. It rarely ever gives me problems anymore after I switched to wearing smaller bars. I can sleep on it if I wanted but I still try not to just because if I do end up lying on it for a couple hours it will be a little uncomfortable. It looks so badass and was so worth the long healing process!
My industrial healed very bad. But after 2 years there weren't any problems anymore. I have it for about 8 years now and after healing it is my favorit pircing. Not only by look. Also by comfort. I can left the jewlery out for weeks and I won't get problems by putting it in again.
I‘ve had my industrial for about 2 years now and I haven‘t had any problems at all with it, it healed quite fast actually and since it healed completely I never had any trouble with it
I’ve had my industrial for about 3 months now, healing nicely and only had about two small bumps on the back that healed quickly. Neosporin actually really helps with bumps, just put a bit on it everyday until it goes away and it should be fine :)
My vertical labret was one of the least painful piercings I have ever had. I enjoy mine thoroughly. It also healed super quick, about three weeks. It was my first facial piercing and the only one I've never had redone.
I got my industrial and I was scared because I am picky but my industrial ended up looking the best and perfect positioning. I love it! I don’t regret it. I don’t see the problem with them. Also you could make one of your helix piercings and add a forward helix and add a bar after healing.
I got my snug done and it successfully healed! It took a while (a little less than one year), but was worth it. I was just lucky to have the right anatomy for it
I’ve had my Monroe pierced for 4 years. And I love it! It’s my fave piercing and even people that don’t really like a lot of piercings compliment me on it and say it looks really nice on me. My coworker has the vertical labret and it looks so good on her, I don’t think a lot of people can pull it off. Honestly I think the Medusa looks so good on you and really suits you.
I LOVE MY SNUG PIERCING!! It wasn’t painfull at all to get, but i got a very very bad infection after i hurt it by bumping into someone at the airport and had to go back to the studio to change the bar for a bigger one. I took extra care of it and went into antibiotics and after that it healed fine!! I think the secret is to get a VERY BIG BAR cause the snug area swells a lot even if not infected!
I had a snug piercing... never could get mine to heal.. had to take it out stayed angry, swollen and painful... I was very sad because I wanted it so bad...
I have my industrial piercing done for 7 year :-) when I first got it done it did not wanted to heal at all... it played up so much for me and so long then I wanted to take it out :-( I was scared to take it out as I put up with it for so long.. I said to my family I'll give it one more month if it doesn't heal take it out....one day I wake up and the pain just went it has been fully healed since then I'm been so happy about that's :-) only time I have issues with it is when I put headphones on it the one that covers your ears sometimes it can ache
I had to have my vertical labret done twice (crooked the first time, the scarring wasn't bad at ALL, less than a regular lip piercing) and it hardly hurt. Definitely way less than I expected
@@RavenWednesday if it's crooked, just have it redone. Don't let people say you'll get used to it. If it bothers you, it bothers you. And don't let your piercer walk all over you. It was their fault, and you should get a free or discounted repierce
i got a lower navel piercing because my piercer told me i didn’t have the anatomy for a traditional navel piercing and there’s a good chance of it rejecting. i was disappointed at first but i kinda like the fact not a lot of ppl have it
My husband has an industrial piercing and he had to have two separate pieces of jewelry in for several months. When his ear finally settled down and wasn’t in the healing process anymore, then he put the industrial bar back in. The industrial bar just isn’t good for healing because it immobilizes part of the ear.
I've had my industrial done for a few years now and it didn't hurt, but the healing at first gave a me a bit of a problem but now it dont really give me any problem. I love mine it's one of my favorite.
A couple of years ago, I fell and cut my lower lip very very deep on the inside and outside with my own teeth. It "healed" but once in a while it still gets open and bleeds a little, or it gets a little raised, so I don't think I would get a vertical labret. Even if I end up removing it, because of my experience it doesn't worth it
I’ve had my snug for like 2 years now and the healing process wasn’t that bad, it obviously hurts but like any other. It took like 8 months to heal completely and the only problem I had was a little bump. I would recommend it 100% and the piercing it shelf didn’t hurt neither, and I wouldn’t say I have high pain tolerance because I have pass out with my 4 piercings.
I been having my industrial pierced for almost 3 years now and I never really deal with issues . I mean if I wear a bar that is to short for my ear for a long period of time it will start to get mad but other then that I have no issues
I have an inverse vertical labret. It hurt to get, but not really that badly. Just a really intense pinch, then it was only a little sore. Healing was pretty good and it doesn't bother my lip day to day. When I take the jewelry out you can see the hole, but it's not very noticeable and from what I've seen of people who took theirs out permanently, the scar blends in with the lip well and is invisible under makeup.
I have a vertical labret and even though I was super super scared to get it done because I also thought I couldn't stand the feeling of a needle going through my lip, I would to it again if I had to! It's my favorite piercing and when I take it out its 100% gone and unnoticeable if I would ever regret it! The healing was super fast and it just looks awesome (:
I have my snug pierced. I’ve had it for just under a year and I went through a few months of battling healing bumps but for the most part it healed fairly well. About the same as my tragus. Wasn’t super painful to get but afterwards it hurt so bad. I definitely recommend sleeping with a neck pillow as I do any cartilage piercing
I thought I wanted a snug piercing but I've heard all the same things you have about the healing time and the pain. So, for right now I am happy with my conch and daith piercings.
I have a snug piercing and for the last few months it’s been such a pain , I’ve been cleaning it 3 times a day and bumps have still appeared, but recently it’s started to heal and isn’t such a pain anymore
my friend's sister got an industrial when she was 13, and she said it didn't hurt at all and healed in like 5 months. She must have been one tough 13 y/o
Mine actually didn't hurt much but it took a year and a couple of months to heal. One problem for my piercing to heal is that I wear prescription glasses, and I couldn't stop wearing unless I was home. It took me changing the bar to two individual piercings for a while to finish the healing process properly.
Kaitlyn Miller lucky! I’ve had my industrial for a year and a half now, and it’s still not fully healed, the side on the anti-helix got a bump, but it’s going down now, and it still sometimes acts up and I’ll wake up with sudden bad pain in it. It was pierced correctly, I’ve seen an additional piercer in addition to the original piercer. I do have EDS, so that messes up the healing process a lot.
I got my snug pierced just over a month ago and I wasnt aware of it being annoying, I just saw it and loved it. Its been okay. So far. Had a few times of throbbing pain at the beginning and it's still swollen. But it's still early on and the swelling has gone down alot in the past couple weeks! Really hope it heals.
Got my snug pierced about a year ago now had no problems at all. A bit of swelling at the beginning but that was it. I didn’t research it at all so had no idea just got it done and is now perfectly fine and can take it out for however long
I had a vertical labret but had it retired after the swelling went down since it turned out to be slightly off center which bothered me to no end. There is no visible scarring on my lip itself but I did only have it in for a very short time. Pain wise it wasn't much worse for me than getting my septum but I guess pain is different for everyone so take that as you will. I am now in between jobs and first want to wait and see if I'd be allowed to have piercings visible, if it's allowed I am definitely getting it repierced, since I do love the way it looks.
To speak to the industrial points: I've had mine for two and a half years now. It was one of the easiest to heal for me, honestly. Though it took about a year and a half to fully heal, I never had any bumps or craziness from it. It occasionally flares up as all helix piercings do, but only because I wear my work headset on that ear. As far as pain goes, my daith hurt far more to have done. I love my industrial and hope I never have to take it out.
I had a horizontal labet (actually had it done twice! It was definitely one of the most painful, but I loved it soooo much. It healed really fast both times and I have hardly any scarring after having to remove it for work
I have had my vertical labret for 5 years and it was one of the least painful piercings I’ve gotten! The healing process was super short and easy as well
I got my snug pierced like over ten years ago. It did not heal, however, I didn’t even give it a full year. At the time I was young and didn’t get good advice and figured after a few months of it not being healed, that it just wasn’t going to happen. I also got bad aftercare advice and was told to “move it around” while cleaning, and I honestly think that’s why all my ear cartilage piercings struggled with healing and I ended up removing my snug, helix and rook. I recently got a double forward helix and so far (knock on wood), it’s been healing very nicely.
Hey! I've had my industrial since I was 16 (I am now 27) and I never had a problem with the healing or pain. It was actually my quickest healing piercing. I think your friends might have problems if they don't have the correct ear anatomy. Side note: I love the vertical labret. I want one so bad but I work in the financial industry :(
I've had my industrial for 5 years and I was afraid to get it at first because I heard it was one of the more complicated ones to heal. Mine healed great! It took about 8-10 months and took some time getting used to having it but I love it. I would recommend pinning up your hair so it doesn't touch it or wrap around the balls when it's healing. also be careful! It's an easy piercing to bump. But it's definitely one of my favorite piercings I have!
I've had the vertical labret for over a year now, and aside the fact that I feel so good to have it, I had an amazing experience in the studio: at first I was truly scared due to the thought of having my lip pierced, but the piercer was so professional and quick that I've never had any issues. It makes me feel bad for people who have, because it may have had to do with the piercer who got the job done. The snug looks pretty cute, even though the stories I've read about it are horrifying (from the difficulty of having it done, to its healing), so I agree, kinda a waste of time and money. As I always say: you do you, but let a professional pierce you.
ive had my snug done for about a year and a half and ive never had any major problems with it, the only issues i had with it were that it swelled alot and had to get the bar changed and i had a keliod type bump on it (the same thing happened with my conch) on the back of my ear and the inner part of the piercing/conch area, but neither of those things were too bad, the pain of it all wasnt too bad and i could easily sleep on it after a few weeks and took about 8 months to heal. I did get it done when i was 16 though so being a teenager could have made the healing better (ive heard that sometimes piercings heal the best for teenagers but idk about that). I guess it just depends on the person as to whether it goes well, ive never had any major problems with any of my piercings (i have 16 and some other quite risky piercings like rook, bottom of the navel and a scaffold/industrial) i guess my body just reacts to them well, i would however not recommend getting it unless you really want it, it is quite the commitment I must admit.
I have had my vertical labret, snakebites and central labret pierced and out of all of them I would say my vertical labret was the least painful. My vertical labret sadly rejected but it’s not as painful as it may seem
I have my snug done. I found that the piercing itself wasn't as painful as when I did my conch. For me it also is healing quicker than when I got my conch done. I had a pleasant experience overall with my snug and I love her so so so much!
I got recently for the industrial piercing on my right ear (Aug 10, 2023) two days after getting a daith, also on my right ear. After several days of major swelling and itchiness, things look okay now. So, it will be too soon for me to know if going to face any years of issues with my industrial, but naturally, I hope not! 🤞🏾🤞🏾
It took 18 months for my industrial piercing to heal. And it was a struggle. It got so bad and I became so discouraged at one point I almost took it out. But I wanted it for SOOO long. I've had my conch piercing for years now. I can't even remember how long and it was actually fairly easy. I did have a few problems a few months in with piercing bumps but I just kept cleaning it. And now it's my favorite. But I have so many more piercings I want.
I didn't do any research on snug piercing and just went for it. I am not surprised why mine is giving me such trouble after almost a year after seeing all the videos about it. Here is my experience: I went to my piercer and he just went for it. I had to lay down for this one (which I wasn't used to). He said that this one might hurt a bit more than all my other piercings (Conch, Rook, Triple Helix and Tongue Web). The moment he pierced it I immediately felt dizzy. I can't describe the pain I was in (I have a very thick snug). He had to stop midway and said something about the needle or jewellery (can't remember because I was on the verge of fainting) being the wrong size, so it took longer. I heard so many pops from my cartilage, it was insane. My mother told me afterwards that I made really weird faces during this progress. After it was all done and finished, the pain went away in an instant. It is just the needle and jewellery going through my snug that almost made me faint. Now I have a bump that just doesn't want to go away. You have to baby this piercing every single day. After all the pain and struggles, I wasn't ready to give up on this piercing. I still have it and I don't consider to take it out. Ever. I haven't gone through all this pain for nothing.
@@miarobison8289 Ofcourse! I went to the piercing shop after doing some research. I was terrified, because of the people telling me it was going to hurt a lot. First, I asked my piercer about it and he said that the majority of people he pierced didn't find it painful at all. He also said that I shouldn't listen to other people, because everyone's pain level is different. He convinced me and told me to breathe in and out. I was expecting the worse, but it was quite the opposite. He pierced it fast and I almost felt nothing. The pinch wasn't too bad at all. My helix piercings hurt way more than my rook (my experience. Don't forget that everyone has a different pain level). Healing process was amazing, because it is in there it didn't get infected. You can also wear a lot of different kinds of jewelry. It is definitely worth it. I would love to hear your experience if you decide to get it!
AMVprod ok it’s done! It wasn’t awful but it’s my first cartilage piercing so I don’t really have anything to compare it to but I really like it! The needle got stuck at one point though and he had to stop and then push the rest through haha but I’m really glad i got it!
A year late to the party... But my snug has been the easiest out of all my cartilage piercings I've ever had (conch, helix, daith, rook and tragus). It was pierced with a straight barbell and didn't stick out very far from my ear. I think it's very ear anatomy dependent but one of my favorite piercings.
I thought the same thing when I considered getting a snug piercing, I ike it a lot and I like how it looks but for some reason for me it would be nothing but trouble, so no I will never get it. But I am really looking forward to get the Medusa and the Vertical Labret, I love 'em so much.
My snug piercing took about two years to heal. It was always infected and swollen. I went back to the piercer who said to just soak in a saline solution. It didn't heal. Eventually it was red and so swollen that I went to a different piercer for a second opinion. She said that the bar was too small and didn't accomodate for any swelling. She removed the bar which was curved, and then replaced it with a longer and straight bioplast bar. She saved my piercing and my ear :)
I have a snug. I feel like it’s mostly healed, but the bar keeps twisting (yes, twisting) and that’s irritating. I also have a star on top that gets stuck on my pillow, in my scarf, clothes, ... I tried removing it, but the piercing was to tight. I’m getting a hoop next week. If I don’t like the hoop, I retire the piercing. It was fun, but not worth it.
I have a snug piercing! It wasn't that painful to actually get pierced, but it definitely is really annoying. It's been close to 2 years since I got it pierced and it got a bump that I'm just getting rid of. Still can't sleep on it but it's not painful, just a bit angry sometimes so I'm keeping it bc I love the look
I have a snug on my right ear. I am currently 18 i got it on the day i turned 15 (yes my mom lied about my age for me) it was definitely rough at first. Especially the first week my ear was in an enormous amount of pain to where i was constantly on pain meds and laying down not wanting to get up. It also did swell a lot for probably a good year and a half. I also went to change it way to early and probably hurt the healing process way more but i was young and impatient. Now despite all that its fully healed it healed fully after about 2 years for me. It is my absolute favorite piercing i have and it has always been. I can leave it out as long as i want it wont close and i have absolutly no issues with it at all anymore ngl i know its probably not the best but i touch it with unclean fingers multiple times a day to move it back to the right spot so its not like pushed inwards and i have still never once had an infection with it. I did know all the risks when getting it but honestly for me it was one of the best decisions i have ever made and i regret nothing.
My sister didn't struggle with her industrial and vertical labret. I personally prefer my helixes as well which is why I don't want an industrial. I also am eczema prone primarily on my face and recently had a flare up on the back of my ear so I'm probably not getting any more for a while.
I got my snug done about a week ago, and I haven’t had too much trouble with it so far. It has been pretty red, and it’s very sensitive to touch, but it actually hurts quite a bit less than I expected. My rook has honestly been my most painful piercing, so maybe it’s just based on the person. I have 15 ear piercings and have only had trouble healing a simple cartilage piercing, so hopefully my snug will heal well. We’ll just have to see I guess.
I would really like a rook piercing but I have my daith done in one ear and my conch on the other however I have a 5 gem cluster in my conch that I'm totally in love with so I think the rook would be to cluttered in either ear xx
I always thought fake septums were sooo annoying and uncomfortable but then I got mine done and I don't feel it at all... and 4 years later it's still there haha
I've had a double snug. Worst pain getting that thing pierced lol. Then I had to take one of them out a year into healing for the sake of having one of them actually heal. It worked out fine for a couple of months and then it actually started migrating/rejecting. It's not worth it in my opinion. It hurt from the day that I got them 'til the day I took them out. 2 years of inconvenient sleeping 😂
I had the inverse navel piercing and standard navel piercing. The inverse one was done way too close to the surface, thankfully I retired it before it was able to reject 😊. Also, I currently have double nostrils and a septum piercing and seeing yours with a philtrum looks so nice! 😄
i got a snug piercing, it didn’t actually hurt much at all getting done, ended up taking it out after over a year because it literally never healed and it was like having a fresh piercing every day, when i took it out the hole healed up insanely quick like within 5 minutes it would’ve been impossible to get the jewellery back in and by the end of the day it looked like i’d never had it done, bit mad that after having a piercing for so long it had healed so little
got my industrial pierced couple weeks ago and it did hurt like a bitch in the first two days, however it completely stopped hurting while the conch and upper lobe that got pierced in the same day kept hurting for a loooooot longer
I have my snug done and I consider myself extremely lucky that I still have it lol. I got it done when I was about 16 and I'm now 24, at the time I didn't know it was infamously difficult, I was young and didn't do much research. When I got it pierced, the piercer didn't even know what it was and had never done one, if this was today I would've walked out the door but I ended up going through with it and he did the piercing. The healing process was okay for a while, but it would get irritated and swollen really easily, it got infected at one point and I got some antibiotic cream. Anyway, it initially had a ring in it and after about a year, I changed it to a barbell because I thought it would help coz it wouldn't get knocked so often. It did help, but I put a barbell that was too short and the one time it did get really irritated, it swelled up to the point it swallowed the barbell and I had to go to a doctor to get help. (Side note, this piercing taught me that some doctors don't seem eager to help you if a piercing goes wrong, like they think it's your own stupid fault and you deserve to suffer.) Anyway, after getting the damn thing out of my ear I put a ring back in it (horse shoe), I know some people would've given up by now and left it out, but I was determined (or stupid, idk). After that, and with a lot of care (I started washing it with salt water every day again as if it was a fresh piercing) it eventually calmed down. I estimate it was 2 or 3 years before it was totally calmed down, for a while it would get irritated if I slept on it too much. But now, 8 years later, it's totally fine and I can sleep on it and change the jewellery with no issues. I wouldn't recommend the piercing to anyone who hasn't done their research (like me lol 🤦🏼♀️) and isn't willing to put up with a healing process potentially up to 4 years with some painful complications. My friend also got hers done after mine and ended up taking it out because she was sick of it interfering with her sleep. But, it's one of my fave piercings now ❤️ though I will say, getting a faux snug would give you way more options for jewellery so that might be the better option to go for anyway
I’m so late to this video (or commenting on it!) I had my snug pierced… around 10 years ago? Maybe longer. And it was a nuisance to heal, I won’t lie. It would get blisters on the back of my ear, but one day it just stopped and it’s been fine since. So then I got a second one, underneath it, last year in March. Again it’s still playing up (I’m sick and boy has it let me know over night) but it’s not rejected and I’m hopeful it’ll heal fully.
I've had my industrial for 4 years now and haven't had any issues for the past 2 years. It my favourite piercing ever, and actually one of the only ones I never have any Issues with
I am intrigued by the coil earring. Two or three piercings perfectly aligned can get in on the action. My piercings are complete, but I think this is really cool.
😂 I have 3 of the 5. Industrial, bottom belly button and my snug. My snug gave me quite a bit of problems but idk how much of it was (yes I know) getting it pierced with a hoop. I had to hide it at work so that didn't help. I will say it was my most painful, probably out of all, piercing but it is healed. No issues with my industrial though, didn't take long for it to heal either.
My snug piercing was the most painful out of the piercings I have gotten, i wish i had researched into it more because it's been over a year it still hasn't healed and when it was pierced it bled so so much. I'm not sure if it was pierced correctly either :/
In all honesty if you like the vertical lebret I can say having had the piercing twice, it is one of the least painful, quick healing very minimal scaring piercing I have had overall. my nose shows more scar then my lip there isn't a scar on top of my lip.
the first ever piercing i got was an industrial (yes i went in big) 7 months in and its fully healed but of course i dealt with keloids...i haven’t had a cartilage piercing in a while since as i got other piercings instead, but i have recently got a double helix piercing 2 days ago, forgot completely how much cartilage piercings hurt to sleep on and if you knock them
Yeah I have my snug pierced, it hurt just as bad as my industrial, as for healing, I've had it for 5 months now, and it has bumps and its still swollen, I clean it very well. It's a mean piercing haha
I was debating between snug and conch last December, but went for the conch when piercer told me snug is a bitch to heal. Have had no probes with conch, no pain, infections etc and it’s healed.
Have a look through the ear projects page of the Diablo Body Jewelry website. There are virtually endless mix and match pieces for industrial piercings. You might be able to work around your ear shape and come up with something that isn't straight and looks great. diablobodyjewelry.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=320
I really love the septum piercing but I’m just going to stick my nostril piercings (I getting my second nostril pierced this weekend). I just don’t really think I would get it personally wouldn’t fit my face. I may change my mind later on but right now I wouldn’t get a septum piercing. 😸
I have a right and a left industrial also 2 daith piercing right industrial healed fine top of left still gives me problems now I like equal piercing on each side looking into getting more another daith on left side also thinking of others too!!!!
I love the snug piercing but also wouldn't get it for the same reasons.. and I also really love dimple piercings, but wouldn't get them because of the scarring.
My experience with my vertical labret really wasn't bad at all! Definetly not the most painless one I got but absolutely not the most painful one either! My daith was much worse
I have a snug piercing, I've had it for about 6 months now and at first it really didn't give me any problems while it was healing but I slept on it one night and it got a bump :(, im currently dealing with that right now and trying to get rid of it so hopefully it goes away. But yes, I have to say it was probably the most painful piercing ive ever gotten done.
I'm a little late commenting on this video lol. I've had my snug pierced for 8 years, it was pierced with a ring, and I never had issues healing it. It wasn't painful to get considering I had also got my anti tragus done at the same time (same ear).
I had my industrial like a month ago. But my piercee pierced it with the wrong needle and had to repierce it. Hurt so bad and the jewelry she chose was the same size as my whole ear. (i have the ears of a 6 years old lol) And i just hated it. Took it out the same day i got pierced because it was nothing but trouble for me. My hair wraped around, i couldn't put on my glasses etc. I would not recommend if you guys have tiny ears.
I want an industrial so bad, I really like the different Bar styles, there’s one I’ve seen with a little Bumble Bee in the middle (so cute). But I just don’t think it’ll work with me. I’m scheduled for a few more ear piercings in Jan. I will discuss it with my piercer. Snug is a big NO for me!
Snug was my first piercing, I was 16 and now 27 years old I think it was a stupid idea. Actually piercing it didnt hurt at all but the healing process... it was horrible. It was always swollen and red so I took it out after a year or two. I think my ears anatomy doesn suit the snug, there is not enough room for it, thats why it didnt heal properly. Dont recommend! 😅
New subscriber here! I love your accent--Georgia? Texas here :) Also, I have a snug piercing... Anyway, I got a snug piercing about 1.5 years ago (March 2018) and I love it!!! But yes, it was a b!t#h to heal and it still gets irritated quite easily (red, swollen, stiff, painful, and sometimes a bit crusty still) whenever I play with it too much (okay, that's my fault), change the jewelry (if I don't use an ointment while putting it in), or roll over on it in my sleep. So basically, even 1.5 years later it is still not completely healed, though I would say that it is MOSTLY healed at this point. I also learned the hard way to not put in jewelry that is too small for it; I was pierced with 10mm jewelry and tried to put in an 8mm a few months after the swelling subsided (about 5 months after getting the first piercing) and I got a weird & painful blister on the back of my ear, which went away a day or so after I put back in the longer jewelry. So, snug piercings (or anti-helix piercings, as that part of the ear is actually called) are totally worth it, but you have to be extremely patient with it. If someone is looking for a piercing that heals quickly and easily and is not too finicky during, a snug is the wrong choice.
"Piercins"
It's pretty annoying xD... Endearing once it twice but it drove me nuts and watched muted
Drives me nuts too
It feels like she wouldn’t actually say it that way which makes it extra annoying 😂
Its called an accent. We all have one
I just got mine done today and this really helped to just see some of the positive sides !
Got mine two months ago, it was never swollen. Didn’t hurt much if i didn’t touch it. the jewel fucking fell out and i couldn’t get it back in 😭😭 at least now i have a cool scar but i’m really sad about it
I love the way a philtrum piercing looks with a vertical labret and a bold lipstick. But I'd never get a facial piercing, myself.
I have both & the combo is fyeeer 🔥
I definitely don't have the face for facial piercings 😭🤣🤣🤣

Not even a nose piercing? Counts as a facial piercing
That sounds utterly beautiful!
Griselda Svelta thank you 😊
I wear a 16G industrial and have it in silver, gold, black, rainbow, rose gold and blue, it was a multipack from bodyj4u I dont really wear blue jewelry but the others are beautiful
Sophie Birkinshaw, I would bet the rose gold is so pretty! Do you switch them up to go with your other jewelry?
@@diannadiguardi yeah I have quite a few piercings, on one ear I have 3 helix and 3 lobe piercings but my first is stretched, on the other my industrial and the 3 lobes with one stretched, i have both sides of my nose one side has 2, my septum, labret and medusa. As well as my nipples, 3 navel piercings and 3 genital piercings. It's expensiveto get everything in every colour but some of them arent fully healed yet so I have plenty of time to stock up. Aiming to change it all to black for my 21st in April
I’ve had my industrial for about 10 years and it doesn’t give me any issues. Definitely my favorite piercing I have.
I've had mine for almost two years. Pain to heal, now I don't even remember having it
Elodies Lambs girl I was about your age when I got mine and it’s more painful after but I love it so much. I am 24 now and to this day it is still my most favorite piercing!!! I would 100 percent get it again!!!!
Elodies Lambs do it girl!! You’ll love it! Just make sure you take care of it!!!
Lindsey Ramsey definitely will 😂😆
I feel like a Medusa isn’t a “lip” piercing either. I know it is but I never think of it when someone says lip piercing.
I have a Medusa and I feel the same way, I’m always like “oh no I don’t have any lip piercings” meanwhile I rly do
You should see Roly's video about getting his snug done. Holy crap I was all "oh hell no" when he was describing the piercing experience.
Krazy Kat Wasn’t his snug it was his anti tragus
@@katy4835 Ohhh ooppsss
@@katy4835 was gonna say that
Krazy Kat she needs to collab with roly!!
Krazy Kat snug is supposed to be a bitch to heal. As she said.
Quinn Ethan That’s actually my biggest fear because I want to get mine done However that it will be crooked ,any advice?
@@RavenWednesday if it's crooked, just have it redone. Don't let people say you'll get used to it. If it bothers you, it bothers you. And don't let your piercer walk all over you. It was their fault, and you should get a free or discounted repierce
Quinn Ethan Thank you ☺️ so much in your reply,? I appreciate so much.
i got a lower navel piercing because my piercer told me i didn’t have the anatomy for a traditional navel piercing and there’s a good chance of it rejecting. i was disappointed at first but i kinda like the fact not a lot of ppl have it
My husband has an industrial piercing and he had to have two separate pieces of jewelry in for several months.
KissOfLyfe so i havent a snug Bit i have a rook, and ist is so much painful... After one and a half year.... because it is so fat...
x_lytrisha C.1 i have a rook and a snug and there is a different between the two of those for sure. Of course everyone's anatomy is different though
Mine didn’t hurt AT ALL & I’m terrified of needles and a wimp 😩😂. My forward helix was more painful.
My friend got a double snug a little over a year ago. It took about 10 months to heal but it’s all good now
I've had my industrial for almost 5 years, and it healed like a dream! I've never had any problems with it! I totally recommend!
I didn’t research it at all so had no idea just got it done and is now perfectly fine and can take it out for however long
I've gotten my snug and I've been lucky with it! It's healed!
Estro This was extremely helpful, thank you 🙏🏻
To speak to the industrial points: I've had mine for two and a half years now.
I got my snug pierced 3 weeks ago. Hopefully it heals!
ive had my snug done for about a year and a half and ive never had any major problems with it, the only issues i had with it were that it swelled alot and had to get the bar changed and i had a keliod type bump on it (the same thing happened with my conch) on the back of my ear and the inner part of the piercing/conch area, but neither of those things were too bad, the pain of it all wasnt too bad and i could easily sleep on it after a few weeks and took about 8 months to heal.
I love all of your setups and your makeup is always stunning 🖤
I've got a snug!!! And it's healing pretty well I've had it about 8 months :)
I didn't do any research on snug piercing and just went for it. I am not surprised why mine is giving me such trouble after almost a year after seeing all the videos about it. Here is my experience:
I went to my piercer and he just went for it.
AMVprod hey I’m getting my rook done soon and I’ve heard a lot of different stories about it can you tell me about your experience with it?
AMVprod thank you so much for sharing! I’m reading this as I stand in the waiting room of my piercing shop haha... I’ll let you know how it goes!
@@miarobison8289 You can do it!!!
Same. Plus my ears are really tiny so clutter would be weird on me.
@@griseldasvelta I have a five gem cluster, but it's small, also you can get three gem clusters, just have to find one that fits your ear xx
I can’t get over how much I love your eyeshadow 😍
IKR. The flash of gold is gorgeous.
Septum’s look so good on most folks but I rocked a fake one to try out and it looked awkward and it was hella annoying for me.
I always thought fake septums were sooo annoying and uncomfortable but then I got mine done and I don't feel it at all... and 4 years later it's still there haha
Lucile Ec same but I don’t have a real septum. I think it is annoying because it squeezes on the septum area instead of just going through the septum
I have a snug.. its over 10 years old.. was grumpy for about a year to year and a half. Don't remember the pain being overly horrible for that one
In all honesty if you like the vertical lebret I can say having had the piercing twice, it is one of the least painful, quick healing very minimal scaring piercing I have had overall. my nose shows more scar then my lip there isn't a scar on top of my lip.
the first ever piercing i got was an industrial (yes i went in big) 7 months in and its fully healed but of course i dealt with keloids...i haven’t had a cartilage piercing in a while since as i got other piercings instead, but i have recently got a double helix piercing 2 days ago, forgot completely how much cartilage piercings hurt to sleep on and if you knock them
I had the top and bottom of my belly button pierced for years but took it out. I loved them but then got tired of them after having it so long.
I've always wanted an industrial but I dont have the right shaped ear for it
Have a look through the ear projects page of the Diablo Body Jewelry website.
I loved my snug!! Unfortunately after a whole year it still hadnt healed so i removed the jewelry 😞
I've had my snug pierced for almost a year now. itll be "healed" for a while then act up and that repeats every month or so
it didn't hurt though, I was ready for impact but barely felt it lol
That's what happens to mine !!
I have a snug on both sides done at the same time, 2 months and they still hurt but I’m not taking them out! Don’t underestimate this one, they hurt!
I have my industrial done I still have problems with it 6 months later
I’m right there with you on the vertical labret.
I used to have a snug piercing and had to take it out because it wouldn’t heal and I constantly got bruises all over my ear, it was unbearable
I would love to get a snug piercing! Also I have a very pronounced inner cartilage so I feel like it would heal well for me
