Depends on the Tales Game. In ToS Maxwell mentions that the party defeated origin but in my humble opinion that can't be a deciding factor to say Maxwell is stronger than origin but simply they ran into origin sooner and he is definitely in the upper echelon of spirits. In Xillia 2 Origin is met last and he as a "boy" is able to make the necessary changes according to the players choices to end the game. I think they are perhaps are on par with one another. TL:DR Stalemate
