Something I thought about after rendering the video and thought I wanted you guys to know: I feel the trailers I put in the beginning of the video are good but they don’t really showcase how the game is or would’ve been before the release. I think the game would be alot better if it was more like the trailer with you being with your crew and getting randomly ambushed by soldiers or the Spanish army. I talked about Edward but one thing I forgot to mention is that I really like the design he has with the AC armour and having pirate aspects to it with leather padded armour and pistols all around it. I forgot to mention how it would be cool if we had the opportunity or the mechanic to call in other pirates for help during land battles or navy battles. Brotherhood had the mechanic of calling for help when you needed it. But there isn't anything like that in Black Flag even though they are pirate ships out on the sea, instead of helping you or even attacking you they just break when you interact with them. There were plenty of times where I tried to help another pirate take down a ship I saw him attacking and instead of helping me he just goes away and lets me handle it on my own. It might be there intentionally showing how scummy pirates are but in my point of view pirates are supposed to help each other during battles and pillaging other ships. Black flag is missing some enemy variety with the other games having unique enemies such as the pope having special guards or high value targets having more armoured up guards. The governor in black flag should’ve had more unique guards that posed more of a challenge for us as the player as it felt there was only 4 types of enemies: normal guard, sniper/guard with rifle, brute and an officer/higher level enemy. Even though there are officers in the game they are highly unused and I never really spotted them with the high value targets during my playthrough. My remark on the naval combat controls is kind of true, but having recently played AC 3 and realising now that there were ship mechanics in that game. They actually did improve on the ship combat over to black flag and those controls got more or less ported to the future games, but I guess it was worth typing that the ship controls started in AC3. Also this comment was supposed to be here when the video was live but I forgot. SORI
