It is a bit of a nothing burger I agree, but it's more of a video about my "epiphany" about companions since I started playing older games.

I mean it's kind of messy cause it's implied Cooper wasn't on the best terms with his wife (I'm pretty sure they are even divorced when the bombs drop), and I don't think Cooper would even go into the vault seeing how against he is towards Vault-tec. What I don't get is that he wants to find his family but he was with his daughter when the bombs fell and why would he want to see his wife if he found out she's like one of the top dogs in the company? I guess maybe season two will answer some of these questions

What are you saying here that someone else hasn't said better? New Vegas being the best Fallout game is the most popular opinion in the community. This isn't adding anything to the conversation. It's just a circle jerk.

The video is called I finally (don’t) understand fallout so yeah I don’t know all the lore. I compare the examples to fallout new vegas how it was done better, not really saying it’s the best game ever and it has no flaws? I’m just discussing the fallout world and lore because I recently got invested into it. The video is just saying my experience with some of the games (and the show) and what bothered me with the lore decisions. Just like another comment pointed out I think I bring the perspective of being introduced to the games late and with Fallout 4 to start with and yet I think it probably has the worst story despite being my entry to the franchise. But if you don’t like the video or just me that’s fine

Really happy to see someone share a similar experience to myself! This was a quickly made video so some of the points weren’t really well thought out but I’m glad my overall experience got through

It would’ve been cool if they did continue the stories from the previous games and made the players want to find out what happens in the previous games, but if you do that you just find more plot holes and changes for the worse

They don’t specifically say that vault-tec are behind the nukes but it is heavily implied that they did. The only hope for season 2 is if they take it back and show I don’t know like them trying to nuke the world but they were too late I guess. If they showed all the characters being lunatics who want to control the society yeah I would’ve been more accepting of them dropping the nukes, but when they imply that they are only doing this for profit it’s just too fucking stupid to not dismiss

Yeah after I uploaded that video I thought about house still having the option to prepare no matter who dropped the nukes, but I still feel it ruins him as it just tell him they are gonna drop. I like him because he probably saw the inevitable doom on the planet and wanted to prepare. And to add it all why is he in the meeting in the first place when the pre established lore leans towards House not wanting the world to be nuked? He only wants to build his “society” after the nukes have already dropped Im still a bit fuzzy about the BoS overall but fallout 4 BoS is just not it

Cheers man, I had no idea there are different stage mutants and now that you say it, it makes sense. I never really understood the purpose of synths as they really can’t do anything different from a normal human expect for the coursers. They can be controlled by the institute so I guess that’s their goal to have a controlled society? If they want that they have the resources to just kill the whole wasteland and send their synths out to reproduce I guess

​@@Imdruu Super Mutants have different generations. The first ones are a lot smarter than the ones we find in the commonwealth. I would probably say that a smart super mutant is a much better companion than a ghoul or a synth as ghouls can turn feral over time and synths have recall codes which makes them both a loose end.

The building your robots is more of a joke but you are right there is a discourse in if a robot if highly advanced could count as a human life. For me it’s clear in fallout 4 that the synths are just robots with a conscious. It could be compared to the terminator movies where T-1000 is a machine but somewhat develops feeling and a characters towards John, but at the end of the day he’s still a machine

It’s like saying that vikings came from Scandinavian countries and then later on saying they came from the US. I agree there needs to be a limit to where we reach the straws, but there need to be a consistency in the world building and lore.

New vegas does what you say of telling it’s own story with new factions and characters while still staying true and consistent to the existing lore of the world

I didn’t know that is that explained somewhere? I was under the impression that all mutants came from the master as he was the only one with F.E.V? Like I said I’m not well versed in the lore

@@Imdruu I believe the FEV was originally from before the war, and with the Master only doing things in the first game, the FEV was in other places for other reasons. I don't really know all too much, but thats what I've heard.

@@jester333 So, insofar as I am aware, FEV was one of the bioweapons the US government was illegally researching pre-war, and was one of the reasons the Chinese publically had for why nuking the US would be a smart idea.

@@Imdruu on the west coast, the super mutant are from the master using the vef of mariposa base. On the east coast, we have dc super mutant from vault 87 with vef initially used by vaultec and than by super mutant. In F4 it’s the institute that decide randomly let’s make super mutant and realest them in Boston

@@riccardodessi5387 They used fev in experiments to create gen 3 sythns. I assume they released the experiments to disrupt the surface factions, because that's what they've been doing in other ways for years.

The nuke in Megaton did not have the Vault-Tec logo on it. Yes, the specific logo looks VERY similar to the Vault-Tec logo, but it is not the same logo.

But that's the thing it implies that they were behind it not really confirming it like in the show. I think it's fine with the implication that they were behind it in the games as it makes it more of a who done it mystery. I just don't like the semi-confirmation of them actually being behind it.

even fallout 4 had some lore and background about super mutant and feral ghoul written in terminals throughout the world but he did not dig down enough, he just enjoyed the shot and run part of the game. which reasonable since the gameplay is cool you dont need to waste time hacking/reading terminals to enjoy the game

@@abdalrazigalaribe3400 Fair comment, I do agree I don't read most of the terminals mainly because I don't like the system of the terminals, they are sluggish and makes it as unbearable as possible to read anything. But I would rather say I'm more annoyed that they don't do anything intresting with lore of the ghouls with the characters they have in the game like Hancock. Raul from New Vegas is a good example of showing the lore of the ghouls how cool they can be.

Yeah I mean that's fair, but there were hint to Vault tec being behind it, not really confirmed where I don't really like them being behind it. What lore from the terminals are you refering to? Lore about the institute or?

The Megaton nuke does not have the Vault-Tec logo

@Tmanw8898 Unfortunately, I do not believe they ever said what exactly the logo is for. I wish I could share images in RUclips comments, but I'll direct you to two places to see the difference between it and the Vault-Tec logo. For some reason there are two Wikia's for Fallout. 1: The Vault Wikia - search "C-23 Megaton" and in the Gallery section, you can see the clear logo. 2: Nukapedia Wikia - if you search "C-23 Megaton" it will direct you to "Atomic Bomb" from Fallout 3. In the Gallery, one of the last images is the actual texture file from the game, and you can see the same logo... just not as well. The one on The Vault is clearer to see, and easier to compare it to the Vault-Tec logo to see that they are not the same. We have no idea what it is on the bomb, but it is not Vault-Tec.

At least in Mk X the gameplay was fun and you could do running combos, and in Mk 11, you could unlock cool skins or gear. They both also had a crypt. What’s the point of playing all that in Mk1? So I could unlock arm bracers for Lui Kang? Or a small chest orb for Geras? Or maybe spend $10 on ONE legacy skin? Get out of here with that man. Mk 1’s gameplay and content are horrible.

The same modes they been giving us for year isn't going to cut it anymore. Mkx to mk11 had way more innovation than mk11- mk1 . Mk11 had variation customization instead limited 3 variations for each character in mkx, graphics were a huge difference, krypt was way more immersive and it we got tons of customization for all characters. Krushing blows were an impressive new addition. What do we get in mk1 ? Innovation wise ah yes they took the godamn consumable from the living towers in mk11 and made into characters your forced to be beside , the made gameplay feel better but removing so many basic features it had before makes it redundant

New players pick up MK1 and then drop it after a week because it's bad. The "casuals" have already left. They drop the game without ever saying a word or thinking twice about it. So what you say is nice and all, but is not based in reality at all.
