My wife and I also lived in our Alaknak while saving for a house here in Michigan. I miss it but she doesn't want to do it again. Good luck don't rush the experience those cold nights are worth it when you get to wake up in nature and you know what time it is by the sounds of the bugs and birds. and get to relax in a way that is hard to do when you live in a house. Like the song says your gonna miss this.

Just a guess here, but I don't think this is what they had in mind when they developed this tent!
But thanks for the video. Shows me what this tent CAN do

AMAZING! This is how I want to live! I love your cooking areas, the toilet & shower areas, the way you zoomed in on the rose, your deck, your super organized kitchen, the table's beautiful, the fabric you chose to enclose your "cabinets" and for throw pillows, your REAL bed, your shelving, all those lovely hanging pockets, and Inish was just ruling the roost, wasn't he?

I highly recommend getting either the Ecco temp or camp chef instant hot water heater, hooking up a battery and 40psi pump, a solar panel, y connector to your propane tank and you will have steaming hot showers with excellent pressure and can pump it out of a bucket or a water tank. If you are set up this solid why go low tech on your shower?
In fact the battery and panel set up could probably power or charge a great many items.

That sure is a lot of hard work and money just to get the solid wood leveled foundation built for the main tent! Dont know your whole story concerning this setup, but all the groundwork you put in beforehand was both very smart and looks well done. Wait, why am I writing you? There is no internet service out there!!

The best part of camping off grid jungle is at night. You cook eat with your love one, and sleep. Before sleep you will hear jungle nature lullaby. Secured and healing by nature.

everything looked pretty cool till i saw the cat. every cat produces 1 metric ton of cat hair daily to spread around their domain. they also sharpen their claws 20 times daily always on a different piece of furniture. . besides a lge catippar dozer nothing else can do as much damage as 1 cat.
