I studied a lot for my IELTS test. I wanted to score a band 7, but I couldn't do it. The test for me was stressful and during the listening part I felt a strong headache. Now I have my results listening and reading 6.5, writing 6 and speaking 7, overall 6.5. if it wasn't for my headache I would have scored band 7. My advice is always be relaxed! Feeling nervous is prejudicial for this test! Good Luck for everyone 😊

Dear Chris, I think what we need most are these simulated IELTS speaking tests. They are simply the best dialogue materials or short blogs as reference materials for us. With these simulated speaking tests, people don’t even need to pay special attention to the scope of each speaking test. Hi Chris! I am a native English speaker and I applied for IELTS with just 1 week to prepare, unaware of the structure of the exam(highly do not recommend 😅). By some luck I found your channel 2 days before and binge watched all the important videos. Got my results today-9 for reading, listening and 7.5 for speaking and writing, overall 8.5! I would have gotten through probably but definitely this overall great result was only because I followed your tips. Thank you soo much!!

Also would recommend actually writing out a few essays so you can get a good idea of the word count and the time needed to write. You can search IELTS sample essays and get an idea of what they are looking for. Good luck!

Hi, I'm planning to take the IELTS exam next month, and I've been attending offline classes at a coaching center. My tutors there have repeatedly told me that I tend to overuse the word "so" when I speak, especially during the Cue Card session. I also noticed that the woman in the video uses "so" frequently, and she often repeats ideas in her sentences. These two issues were highlighted by my tutors, who advised me to avoid them during the exam. However, despite these mistakes, she's still achieving a Band 9 according to your scoring. My question is: does this really matter?

Hello everyone. I was practising the IELTS writing section and I thought that this comment section may be able to help me improve my writing skills. The question is, "The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant." (This is a question from the IELTS 2016 book by Cambridge, test 2 Pg 52.) Introduction: The picture shows how sugar is prepared from sugar cane. Overview: In the production of sugar, two main stages are involved. First, the growth and harvesting of sugar canes. Second stage involves the process of converting the harvested sugar canes into sugar. Main Body Paragraph 1: The first stage starts with the planting sugar canes in sugar cane fields. The plant takes about one to one and a half year to grow and be ready for harvesting. Ones grown, the canes are harvested via two methods, harvester machines or manual labour. Typically, harvester machines are employed over a very large area of land. On the other hand, manual is more suitable for small pieces of land. Main Body Paragraph 2: Now, the second stage begins. The harvested crops are passed through a crushing machine, such as a juicer, in order to obtain sugar cane juice. This juice is the purified to remove any contaminations. The purified juice is then heated and evaporated to produce a thick syrup. Small sugar crystals are present in this syrup. These crystals are separated from the syrup in a centrifuge machine, followed by the drying and cooling of the sugar crystals. Closing statement: In this way, sugar crystals are produced from sugar canes. I know that I've not given any image for all of you to actually visualize the process completely. The last time I attempted my test several years ago, both my speaking and writing scores were much lower. But your tips truly did help me a lot. With these simulated speaking tests, people don’t even need to pay special attention to the scope of each speaking test. @@AnandAbbigeri-vu1sq mostly followed the tips from here then tried out some practice papers in the ielts guide book. Also would recommend actually writing out a few essays so you can get a good idea of the word count and the time needed to write. You can search IELTS sample essays and get an idea of what they are looking for. Good luck!

Hi I took my exam last week and my examiner started off by asking about my city and where I studied before starting part one !! It got me so stressed so I performed horribly and ended up getting 6,5 in speaking 😭 I hope more people pay attention to this too and not stress out much

Hi, I'm planning to take the IELTS exam next month, and I've been attending offline classes at a coaching center. My tutors there have repeatedly told me that I tend to overuse the word "so" when I speak, especially during the Cue Card session. I also noticed that the woman in the video uses "so" frequently, and she often repeats ideas in her sentences. These two issues were highlighted by my tutors, who advised me to avoid them during the exam. However, despite these mistakes, she's still achieving a Band 9 according to your scoring. My question is: does this really matter?
I got Band 7.5 for speaking and an overall band score of 8 without any coaching😊 Thank you so much for the videos. It really helped. I understood that naturally speaking is the key... not adding fancy vocabulary.

Hello everyone. I was practising the IELTS writing section and I thought that this comment section may be able to help me improve my writing skills.
The question is, "The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant."
(This is a question from the IELTS 2016 book by Cambridge, test 2 Pg 52.)
Introduction:
The picture shows how sugar is prepared from sugar cane.
Overview:
In the production of sugar, two main stages are involved. First, the growth and harvesting of sugar canes. Second stage involves the process of converting the harvested sugar canes into sugar.
Main Body Paragraph 1:
The first stage starts with the planting sugar canes in sugar cane fields. The plant takes about one to one and a half year to grow and be ready for harvesting. Ones grown, the canes are harvested via two methods, harvester machines or manual labour. Typically, harvester machines are employed over a very large area of land. On the other hand, manual is more suitable for small pieces of land.
Main Body Paragraph 2:
Now, the second stage begins. The harvested crops are passed through a crushing machine, such as a juicer, in order to obtain sugar cane juice. This juice is the purified to remove any contaminations. The purified juice is then heated and evaporated to produce a thick syrup. Small sugar crystals are present in this syrup. These crystals are separated from the syrup in a centrifuge machine, followed by the drying and cooling of the sugar crystals.
Closing statement:
In this way, sugar crystals are produced from sugar canes.
