You are the go to RUclips electrician for regular new electrical videos. Others have fallen by the wayside or just slowed down production. DSS took his whole site down - doubtless for good reasons - but we lost access to a valuable resource. Keeo it going, thank you!
I do enjoy your frequent updates and videos. Probably my favourite uploader. Would like a video on your diet and training regime you're now doing. Looking good and showing your guns off 🔫💪
jeezz from a cave to a stadium lighting wise! nicely done 😁😎🎉🎉 that was a good vid, im not even a sparkie and i understood what you were doing and why! i think this is a good idea to do, your going to help apprentices get how/why to do things 😊 you really nailed this one! 🎉🎉🎉
Love the continuous content from you man its great keep it up 😎 after you tighten the chuck up fully turn it backwards 1 click and it locks the chuck then the bit wont fall out 👊🏼
Really enjoying the vids Nick. I wanted to be a spark but I’m colour blind so no one would touch me with a bargepole! Your vids are the next best thing.
Love the videos, I've learnt a lot from you. Hopefully I can teach you something too... if you tighten the chuck on your drill up then turn it back slightly it will lock the chuck and the bit won't come out! It's the same with most drills and it's a game changer.
A very enjoyable watch so thanks Nick. To get a spot on job with downlights you definitely need to take the time with the prep, marking out and measuring and re-measuring, and the visualising with the tape is a good call. Have you seen the Quickwire Switch and Load connectors? I use them on jobs like this converting pendant to downlights. Nice and neat and small size compared to the Wagobox and about the same cost.
My Dewalt does the same thing when trying to spin the cut outs from my hole saw and DADE. Best one is when it flings out to one side, hits the rubble sack and sprays dust everywhere!
Nice one mate👌🏼 just a suggestion, I know the switch in the kitchen is a a chrome finish but you ever come across white accessories Ener-J do the white, black, satin chrome and antique brass switch modules that fit into Click Scolemore switch plates (not sure if you’ve previously used them in another video, apologies if you have😂)
And another thing Nick....it means your not talking to yourself....which is great 😁 / 1st. class tip for everyone...if you can do it on a bench or even the ground first ...Do it
When you tighten the drill chuck, get it as tight as you can and then turn it back slightly and you will hear a click. this should lock the chuck off for you 👍👍👍👍
I guess most sparks lose interest in making videos once the channel growth flatlines. You obviously simply enjoy it for what it is, and you've long since seen off the Nagysauraus!
I had it once where all the plasterboard was screwed with stainless screws, nightmare for finding joists in the end had to drill small holes and a wire to feel for the joists
I like to cut cardboard circles with the hole saw and blue tack them to the ceiling. Easier to visualise the downlight positions for you and the customers.
You need to do the lock on the chuck it clicks when you tighten then turn it back it will do like 1 bigger click back it locks the chuck and stops it from getting to tight
I gave up trying to think on behalf of the client for downlight positions. I offer general advice about distance from each other, and whether they need 4 or 6 etc. Beyond that, I ask roughly where they want them. But I cant stress enough that you need to discuss with the client that if you end up working out positions you need to charge for that. You can lose so much time and money faffing around trying to pre-emptively think on behalf of the client.
Could you have not pushed them the otherside of the joist and then the last one by the wall stepped it back in by the amount the little room pushes out off the back wall, so the end light is sat in a bit. Whilst it won’t run a line of the measurements are relative to the thing it’s trying to avoid, I think it’d look okay?
is it because all the others are inside for mean tweets ? maybe theres an international silicone shortage ? i did see one from david and nige but no nige ?
Great job as always Nick, as a point for the chuck coming loose, did you know you can lock them. To do so you tighten it and then back it off slightly. Thats then locked and wont come loose on you.
"its had a new board recently so everything should be fine".........litteraly as you was saying that did you ignore the fact that one of the cables at the kitchen pendant was that old it didn't appear to have a earth wire?
even worse it looks like old double insulated singles used for the switch wires?! and they got metal light switch that you didn't even think about checking if it was earthed when you doing your testing?! .....and why would you drill your cables through them crappy floorboards for the wireless switch box in the loft, im sure this could of been done lot better! I no you try and take your time and do think right, but I think you deffo need to check that light switch and at a minimum replace with a plastic with if its not easy to tie on and pull a new cable down to the switches
Yep exactly this ^. most brands are the same but most people just try to tighten it as hard as possible not realising it needs a small turn back to lock.
This isn't true Nick, David Savery has published 3 videos this month and I think he hardly slagged you off at all! For some unfathomable reason his content isn't well-monetized though....
The fact that other YT sparks are reducing output means that you Nick should continue and possibly aim for 150K subs.
YT sparks gotta be the most cringe thing ive heard lol
Love these Videos please keep them coming. Love your style and content. From an old Irish X-ray service engineer. 🙂🇮🇪☘️

Keep the great videos coming nick. They are always a pleasure to watch don't forget to keep the banter going.
Gaz from efixx will be proud of you remembering the lock off kit 👌

When are you moving to France and getting Adam to do all the work for you? 🤣🤣
He had to come back as there was no work booked in 😮
You’re such a personable chap and professional with it, wish you lived near us so we could have work done knowing it would be spot on 👍
Love the continuous content from you man its great keep it up 😎 after you tighten the chuck up fully turn it backwards 1 click and it locks the chuck then the bit wont fall out 👊🏼
Good job Nick, well explained too with all the tips.
Content's great dude, cant skip past if a new ones uploaded, keep up the good work! Looking great BTW 💪
Thanks Nick, love the video. Great to see more ‘behind the scenes’ and how it’s done.
Really enjoying the vids Nick. I wanted to be a spark but I’m colour blind so no one would touch me with a bargepole! Your vids are the next best thing.

It's the same with most drills and it's a game changer.
With the Milwaukee chuck tighten up all the way and click it back slightly I used to be bugged with that and that cured that 👌🏽
I used to do that too with my DeWalt drills until I saw AvE's video on it. Worth a watch.
@@Eiclesglad you said that. Some ratchet chucks are just rubbish. I’ve got the last generation Hilti 10 22v and it awful- especially with hex shanks
Really enjoying this video format recently. On point. Will need to treat yourself to a muscle fit N Bundy branded t-shirt soon. 😝
Nick. You did a fantastic job training Adam, He is a credit to you. Are you at any time thinking of getting another Apprentice?

What a difference. Nice one Nick
excellent video and explanation, loving the content.
The Milwaukee chuck is known to do this but glad you’ve mentioned it even though they sponsor you, best way of telling them to sort it out 😂
Tighten it then click back to the right and it won’t come out! Had that problem for years until someone told me that!
@@jackcooper9080 I have tried this, but will give it another go
Being tall - ALWAYs banging my head!!! 😱😱
My Dewalt does the same thing when trying to spin the cut outs from my hole saw and DADE. Best one is when it flings out to one side, hits the rubble sack and sprays dust everywhere!
That looks lovely
Good job Nick

The good old Milwaukee chuck. Wait unit it drops onto a tile or bathtub. You will be ready to throw the drill out the window 😂
When you tighten the drill chuck, get it as tight as you can and then turn it back slightly and you will hear a click. this should lock the chuck off for you 👍👍👍👍
Great video Nick
There’s only so many times artisan can put out “10 DIY Disasters” videos

Hello Jackie, hello Martin. Lol. 26:10
I like to cut cardboard circles with the hole saw and blue tack them to the ceiling. Easier to visualise the downlight positions for you and the customers.
This sort of content I like to watch , I used to be a paid member of another creator but all the banging on about solar got boring
Same here!
What brand is the extension attachment on your impact driver?
You need to do the lock on the chuck it clicks when you tighten then turn it back it will do like 1 bigger click back it locks the chuck and stops it from getting to tight
Top tip? After you’ve tightened the chuck up as tight as you can, slowly back the chuck off one click and the chuck is then locked. Give it a try….
Tighten chuck then then as if you release it do it slow and you’ll feel a click. You’ve locked your Chuck then
Could you have not pushed them the otherside of the joist and then the last one by the wall stepped it back in by the amount the little room pushes out off the back wall, so the end light is sat in a bit. i did see one from david and nige but no nige ?
Godo job 👌🏽
Id love to show you my job with 96 spots, perfectly symmetrical but meansured 30 times and drilled once each light😂
If only you were based south east London yous be so flipping busy. Trying to find a decent competent honest clean reliably spark is impossible!
lower tier waste carrier license is free, nick failed to mention this, its just to stop fly tipping
www.gov.uk/register-renew-waste-carrier-broker-dealer-england
all tradespeople need to click that, the fines are horrendous
Great job as always Nick, as a point for the chuck coming loose, did you know you can lock them. To do so you tighten it and then back it off slightly. Thats then locked and wont come loose on you.
Thought that myth had been debunked by the drill and chuck manufacturers
@JasGawera try it, I do it all the time since I found out and they never come loose now.
"its had a new board recently so everything should be fine".........litteraly as you was saying that did you ignore the fact that one of the cables at the kitchen pendant was that old it didn't appear to have a earth wire?

To put lock on Milwaukee chuck
Fully tighten chuck onto holesaw
Then do one turn back to loosen and it will lock 👍🏼
Thanks me later 😅
Yep exactly this ^. most brands are the same but most people just try to tighten it as hard as possible not realising it needs a small turn back to lock.
This is the level of sh%£ that people don't understand .
The constant up and down of the job.
Rooms not cleared ect.
Good video
👌👌

Jordan's clearly phoning it in though, but we all know he doesn't need the extra money at those prices...
Why does he roll his sleeves up on a tshirt? Just get a tight t shirt if you rhink you're arnold Schwarzenegger
Who’s Arnold?
