Dexter is in my top 4 favourite characters of all time but this is an especially crucial moment to where this was his most egregious and evil kill. wasnt his intent, though that is what happened. he was going to simply choke logan unconscious when he received the keys, but when logan pulled the gun it forced dexter to dodge while holding logans neck which put the extra force that was necessary to break his neck. It was accidental but also a result of his direct actions.

I liked this moment, it shows how Dexter was not motivated by heroism and that he was dangerous, lethal, but then with his death he ruined everything, it is not a good death, he simply died without leaving impact, for example; Walter White from Breaking Bad dies only after an entire season, where before he resolves everything he started and forms a legacy in the entire country; Dexter, on the other hand, didn't resolve anything, He did nothing, and just died; Batista didn't even have an interview with him.

This is the exact moment i stopped wishing for Dexter to escape, he went from monster with a code to rabid dog that needed to be put down, shifted my support in an instant, a lot of people hate this ending, personally i think its fantastic, we watched him and rooted for him for years, through every bad thing he did we were still on his side because it made sense, because in some twisted way he was right, this is when that changed and he showed that he was too far gone for even the good his actions led to to make up for the evil that drove him
