I come here time after time to listen to Bob and Elvis sing “I Shall Be Released.” The energy of these two and the audience reaction lifts me up 🎶🎶. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥️ So appreciate this treasure!
im 18 and i have always loved both of these guys. it is very comforting to hear elvis costellos voice singing this song, along with the gift of a man who wrote it. what a masterpiece. my brother died recently, so recently that we still don’t know how. for his service i wanted to play this song, and we played it. The only other songs i would have wanted to have played would be Bob Dylan songs. As i felt that in some abstract way, my brother would feel the comfort that Bob Dylan brings me. i needed to share that comfort with him. so this song means a hell of a lot to me, and the elvis factor makes it all the more comforting for me. I love you Loren, you are always with me.
I love how Bob is very selective as to who he performs with. They're always artists he admires and there's immense mutual respect for Bob too. It shows and I love that!
I love the way Bob picks in between. It is so ingrained. She plays it with so much feeling and like Elvis Costello says: you don't want to look away from Bob
Beautiful! What a release-the music, the harmonies elevating the music, the true gospel musicality of the song, the treat of seeing Elvis & Bob alone together...what a treat, it's a gift. And Bob is at his performer--as-showman best here; I don't recall seeing him having fun with his frontmanship, bowing to the audience, featuring other performers like this before. Even though my view of him is, as I'm sure he'd be the first to agree, just seeing for myself, it's great to see him having a good time acknowledging the responsibility of frontman of the stage. Thank you for this.
This is brilliant, thank you!! The first time Is saw Dylan was on this 95 tour in Brighton, UK, then 5 times across England and Scotland over the next 2 weeks, I'm loving these videos as I'd forgotten just how wonderful he was on this tour, so many surprises, so much greatness :D

Costello is great... In the way Bob and Elvis connect in the song... Is a once in a lifetime. Elvis, in an interview once talked about when a song becomes human... That is where I get on board.
Did they sing "I love snap peas" or "I hate Swiss Cheese"? I just can't tell. I went to a Dylan concert, and learned the meaning of speaking in tongue twisters. Seriously, Bob, go away. Please take the Eagles, and all the other old farts with you. Create some space for younger artists.
Younger artists who could live a thousand years and not even write one song that could even come close to any of the 700 + he's wrote, yes I've seen hi. Live 24 times and for the record he is stopping nobody from doing what they do there's plenty of stages out there. He's still playin cause he sells out every show night after night and has done for 60 years so obviously your in a very small minority with your backward thinking.
Bob loves having Elvis Costello there.
Wonderful! Thank you Wools! 🌹
good to know that Dylan digs Elvis (Costello)
These two friends sure enjoyed each other here😎
Marvelous Elvis&Dylan🌹❤️🌺🌷🌞👏👏

I sure wish Elvis would do more acoustic work. A magical moment here. Thanks, Woolhall!
Just made my evening

🎸🎸🎼🎼⭐️❤️
6 years ago I buried my honey . And we were together friends more. 38 was a hard day. Hellled him till the last breath.
I love the way Bob picks in between. It is so ingrained. She plays it with so much feeling and like Elvis Costello says: you don't want to look away from Bob
Does Bob prefer the pronoun she now/
I love how during the chorus Elvis sings into the mic but Dylan sings INTO ELVIS!
This is beauriful

The definitive "treasure" would be the 2007 version of Tears of Rage, with Costello too..the last time Bob played acoustic guitar on tour!
Thats what I'm looking for! Did you hear it?

+ ゚。 ゚a True Treasure+ ゚。 ゚
I even married him he wanted me to 38 years later . I protected him. Till the end biracial look like Jimmy Hendricks
They're fukin up the lyrics, and Bob is having a good time.
BOB IS KNOWN TO SWITCH UP HIS LYRICS. HE DID IT TO ME AT A CONCERT WAY BACK WHEN. MY POPS LAUGHED AT ME CUZ I WAS ALL CONFUSED AND SHIT
forget Bob and Elvis Costello - Chuck Berry is playing the slide guitar just behind them.

Dicen que todo se puede reemplazar.
They say everything can be replaced
Dicen que toda distancia no es cercana
They say every distance is not near
Entonces recuerdo cada cara
So I remember every face
De cada hombre que me puso aquí
Of every man who put me here
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now
Ya no voy a estar detenido
I shall be released
Dicen que todo hombre necesita protección.
They say every man needs protection
Dicen que todo hombre debe caer
They say that every man must fall
Sin embargo, juro que veo mi reflejo
Yet I swear I see my reflection
En algún lugar tan alto por encima de este muro
Somewhere so high above this wall
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now
Ya no voy a estar detenido
I shall be released
Ahora, allá está un hombre en esta multitud solitaria
Now, yonder stands a man in this lonely crowd
Un hombre que jura que no tiene la culpa.
A man who swears he's not to blame
Todo el día lo escucho gritar tan fuerte
All day long I hear him shouting so loud
Sólo grita que ha sido incriminado
Just crying out that he's been framed
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now
Ya no voy a estar detenido
I shall be released
He.. sorry Bob
My.only wish is not to outlive Bob Dylan.
What’s going on dylanand the nice catholic twickenham boy
So I am cool with Dylan who said he was a major player
jean- marie
Yeah. But he will never a great solo guitar player!
Better stay with his singing, acoustic guitar& his harp!
Costello is great... In the way Bob and Elvis connect in the song... Is a once in a lifetime. Elvis, in an interview once talked about when a song becomes human... That is where I get on board.
This song ages immortals. Meaning if you were immortal, you’d AGE it’s so lame!
That balding man keeps sticking the head of his guitar into Bob's face. How rude. He must be new at this.
TheEleatic Yes, same goes for the old farts Bach, Beethoven and Buddy Holly ......

Oo you're SOooooo complicated 🤪😜🤪
Please tell the world @ large into just what dark hateful corner and direction of the universe you are spouting that sort of drivel towards . 😎
