Zimmy, your songs will forever be sung. You have outlived your life by far, leaving poems/songs of love/learning/inspiration. The Nobel Prize and all the other prizes establish your countenance as our voice of our generation, and now, for all generations, too. Masters of War, A Hard Rain's a Gonna Fall, Working Mans Blues, Thunder on the Mountain, and the entire CD Rough and Rowdy Ways.... magic to my soul. Thank-you for the free CD. I bought one, too. You take good care of those who follow you. May love and joy be yours always.
Love it.. specially when l try to keep up with the verses.. singing along like. And leave it up to Good Old Bobby Dylan to change up the verses and new lyrics to boot...Dylan Rules... 😎😋😍
Bob's ability to re-write songs, change the perspective (the 1984 version of Tangled), and trying to understand what he is singing as that can happen is part of the magic!
LOVE how Bob never tries to take the lead and be heard above everyone when singing his songs with others. Mary is louder than need be but maybe she wants a female voice heard!!
Love many of the comments below. The way that Dylan and his backup singers and musicians entertain us is on a higher level than what other musical talent had then and has now to offer us appreciators!
A magical musical moment. Both songs performed with joy and deep appreciation for MLK. I’m a long-time “Bobcat,” and this really blows me away. So special!!! Many thanks for posting.
I see my light come shining/ from the west down to the east..Is there anything more beautiful ? I shall be released gives you power in a good way and can be your guardian angel
Dicen que todo se puede reemplazar. They say everything can be replaced Dicen que toda distancia no es cercana They say every distance is not near Entonces recuerdo cada cara So I remember every face De cada hombre que me puso aquí Of every man who put me here Veo mi luz brillar I see my light come shinin' Desde el oeste hasta el este From the west down to the east Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora Any day now, any day now Ya no voy a estar detenido I shall be released Dicen que todo hombre necesita protección. They say every man needs protection Dicen que todo hombre debe caer They say that every man must fall Sin embargo, juro que veo mi reflejo Yet I swear I see my reflection En algún lugar tan alto por encima de este muro Somewhere so high above this wall Veo mi luz brillar I see my light come shinin' Desde el oeste hasta el este From the west down to the east Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora Any day now, any day now Ya no voy a estar detenido I shall be released Ahora, allá está un hombre en esta multitud solitaria Now, yonder stands a man in this lonely crowd Un hombre que jura que no tiene la culpa. I think he's referencing MLK's indiscretions... "In the arms of someone else's wife/you're laughing now, you should praying/ you're in the midnight hour of your life"
Never saw Bob so dressed up while performing. Of course he would be there to support Dr. MLK. As far as I know, he has supported every human rights venue he could.
Jokerman. Foot of Pride. What Was It You Wanted. Brownsville Girl. Series of Dreams. Blind Willie McTell. Just who was finding a better plot than that during the 8Os?
I see Bob writing songs that transcend generational differences. He performs songs that transcend race and other petty squabbles that speak to the universal human condition. It's not for everybody.
Oh come on man wtf ? 1980s were so like this, bizzare beyond any compare all you could do was succumb to wall street fever and if you didn't realize that it was just your end. And no help or counsel on this you had to figure it out yourself. Pure terror
Thx for sharing. If you have a minute come check out my cover of Fleetwood Mac - I'm an independent artist and think you might dig my sound. Really appreciate it!
Seeing PPM singing together with Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder is wonderful

I love the pause and the hesitation before he sings chorus fantastic!

Dicen que todo se puede reemplazar.
They say everything can be replaced
Dicen que toda distancia no es cercana
They say every distance is not near
Entonces recuerdo cada cara
So I remember every face
De cada hombre que me puso aquí
Of every man who put me here
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now

Dicen que todo hombre debe caer

Yet I swear I see my reflection
En algún lugar tan alto por encima de este muro
Somewhere so high above this wall
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now
Ya no voy a estar detenido
I shall be released

Now, yonder stands a man in this lonely crowd
Un hombre que jura que no tiene la culpa.
A man who swears he's not to blame
Todo el día lo escucho gritar tan fuerte
All day long I hear him shouting so loud
Sólo grita que ha sido incriminado
Just crying out that he's been framed
Veo mi luz brillar
I see my light come shinin'
Desde el oeste hasta el este
From the west down to the east
Cualquier día ahora, cualquier día ahora
Any day now, any day now
Ya no voy a estar detenido
I shall be released
Blessing this am
Bob Dylan es el mejor!!!!!

Amazing version, such interesting lyrics

Supermarket man:
Hey, we got any more of those ripe Bobby d’s in yet?
Sales boy:
Yeah but we’re fresh out of wonder bread lol
Dylan in the 80's was the weirdest thing
Would love too see these Lyrics?
Lyrics please?
I love Bob more than any other musician, but he lost the plot in the mid eighties. Of course he came back better than ever.
For sure ! Bobby D is the man.
Luckily Andrew knew the way... judge not

Must be me, but the older the songs are, the more intelligible Bob Dylan sounds to me, with lyrics quite clear.
Garble garbled age garbled garbled age

Have you seen Stevie Wonders new piano? Neither has he.

WTF BOB!?
Stevie hit the dislike by mistake.
Lmao
ROBERT ZIMMERMAN
Shhhhhhh
@@ClevelandLiveMusic 😎🤙🏽
@@ClevelandLiveMusic Yeah some might get the wrong idea .
Great voice-over editing.😖 He spoke right over the first line so he could remind everyone of all that "voice of a generation" crap Bob always hated.
The worst version I've heard I shall be released.
He can't sing
Must be 2 of his worst performances ever just like in Live Aid 🦨🤮🚽
to billie holiday, sandy denny, arundhati roy 🍄🌈🌄🐞🦄🦚🇺🇲🏴🇮🇳🌬👏🦋🌻🕉🙏✌🏾...........🤓
Wow….I absolutely loved it!
