- Quick, easy, and simple way to remove paver stones so you can repair uneven areas, or like in this video prep for post to be added. No fancy tools needed at all! Just a hammer, two flat head screwdrivers, and a putty knife.

It helps to have a rubber mallet/dead blow (or block of wood and regular hammer) and tap surrounding pavers to help break that ‘bond’ as you are trying to lift. Helps to have an extra hand.

Looks like it is the first block that is the pain but the rest come out easy once the first brick is gone. I missed something though.... what are you putting in posts for?? Dont make us wait for a video to see what you are actually going to build. LOL!!
Very true, once the first is out it is all down hill from there. Working on that next video, but I know you guys know how projects go, there’s always something lol. I’m adding extra support post for the middle of the pergola.
I have opened a hole and screwed in a TapCon then lift up with a hammer to extract that 1st paver.
Definitely an option, as long as they are not going to be reused.
U could have tried to remove the grease by hitting it with a Harbor Freight Greenwood torch and a propane tank. It should burn the grease off. If not u may have to replace 4 pavers. Roll the dice. Life is a risk carnal.
Yes, in this though I needed to remove them as I was adding a support post and needed to add concrete footers.
