    I’m a long time subscriber that started watching your videos when I wanted to get into nursing, I still remember your night shift vlogs and really enjoyed them as it gave me insight to what life was like as a nurse. Fast forward to today, I’m also currently in the Military, but doing something completely different. Despite having not pursued Nursing, I still enjoy watching your content especially now that you’re also serving!

    I have a few questions. So when commissioning into a medical field do you still need to take AFQT or is it a direct commission? Also are the shifts 8 hour shifts or 12 hour shifts?

    • @genesis.kts_
      @genesis.kts_  11 месяцев назад +1

      medical practitioners don't need to take the AFOQT. The medical and the nursing core all you need are your licenses. 8 for clinical 12 for bedside/critical care

    What rank did you come in with? Does your experience and masters degree affect your rank?

    • @genesis.kts_

      I came in as a Junior Captain. Experience can do so much for your rank, but the masters will give you the extra pay grade.

      @genesis.kts_ thanks for the response. Trying to submit my packet for the Navy and have about 8 years of nursing experience with a Masters degree in nursing. Just trying to find out what entry rank I can get because it's going to be a huge pay cut if it's O1 or O2
