    A lot of what you say actually applies to curating your list of potential grad schools to apply to. Worth a million shares.

    Great video!! Only thing I would add is that depending on your state of residence and your stats a school list can really grow. For people in Oregon it can be really small, for students in Ca, for instance, it is recommended that the list be as large as 30. I believe the average is around 12. Student's shouldn't be afraid to mix in MD and DO. The goal is to only have to apply one cycle.

      softbreezy yep! That's definitely true. States like Texas also has a large amount of schools to choose from.
      The school list is very personalized, so it'll be different for everyone.

    Hi Precious! Thank you for this helpful video & omg, five schools! That's the lowest amount of schools I have heard someone apply to, I have heard people recommend 15-25 cause its so competitive. But I guess if you fall within what they want in a student, applying and spending a lot of money isn't worth that. Hope you are well and safe during this time :)!

      Oreoluwa Alatishe yeah it’s definitely recommended to apply to more. But you just gotta do what works for you. Those app fees add up.

    • @WhiteCoatChronicles
      @WhiteCoatChronicles  7 лет назад +3

      4 years of medical school. I'm entering year 2 soon. After med school is residency training where you specialize, but you're a physician at that point.
