Please use your eye protection. As an RSO I am always reminding shooters to keep eye protection on. As a flintlock shooter, I have been hit in the face with flint shards. You can lose your sight in an instant and eye protection will help prevent that.

Very quick response on that pistol. You will get over the "flinch". It took me awhile.

Can’t find black powder in my area anywhere so I sold my flintlocks and moved over to percussion. For a while caps were hard to find. So I got into making my own caps.

Dude with the muscles you have quit locking your elbow when you aim.. your elbow is a shock absorber. Do not lock it.

Just got the same pistol used at a great price. Can't wait to shoot it. I have the Kentucky flintlock rifle in .45 also. Lots of fun to shoot.

Like your low key no hype no bullshit style…so much more enjoyable than all those big production fishing/hunting/firearms channels.

Where did you get the scrimshaw powder horn?

    • @finflask1862

The little scrimshawed horn was purchased at the local 18th century market in New Hampshire this winter. It was a used one and was made in 1992
