- just thought i would show you guys super sonic.... he rocks
to get him:
collect all 7 chaos emeralds
get 50 rings in any level
press the X or Y button
your rings slowly deplete, if you reach 0 rings you revert to normal sonic.

its about time they let you be super sonic in the normal levels again. I still remember when I was little being so disappointed I couldnt be super sonic in the original Sonic Adventure, even after beating perfect chaos lol
I've been waiting a long time for this because who wants to only play as super sonic at the last boss? I'd love to see hyper sonic again in a future game but I'm not ungreatfull I'm just glad super sonic is back atleast in any stage and to top it off all emeralds are savable just like sonic 3 and/or knuckles. Also yes it is 50 rings to tranform reguarding you have all 7 chaos emeralds. (bring on the super emeralds) :p
my life is complete, they brought back super sonic.........
It's one hell of a moment to turn into Super Sonic after spending so much time collecting emeralds.
And it makes the game harder too o.O
18 years or so and SEGA still hasn't gotten Sonic's Super Sonic theme right.
@TheNeoHack Did you like playing the original genesis games? When I played this game, I got the EXACT same feeling I get when I play Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. This game is worth every penny.
They need to make it so if you buy the game the day it comes out when you open the game you fill in your house information and they ship you a free genesis controller for whatever system you bought it on. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

You'd think eggman would die after he explodes in a robot, but of course they'll have sonic 4 episode 2, so we'll see him alive again. Maybe all of his fat protects him. XD
i would love it if they made 2 sets of graphics what they have now and an option to make everything fully 2d

its a great game it really is but the only thing that made me upset is that i wanted to hear green hill zone music >.> but cant get everthing you want lol but good game need 3 more emeralds :)
@aqil126 i think that's what inspired Sonic team to make super sonic in the first place.
@shadowofslipknot555 The point of this game is to bring back the old style. Like, Sonic 1 style, at least for this episode. We'll probably get to play as Tails and/or Knuckles in the next one.

@lewisscottishlengend definitely the first five levels. Other than that, I think the length varies between levels. I think level 3-2 is the longest though.

@tacohero He caused seizures, and he was only put in because when you locked on Sonic and Knuckles to Sonic 3, there were 2 sets of Choas Emeralds, so they had to do something.
@sanderistehname THis not a remake its a sequel, yes I know these levels are BASED on the older levels so dont bother, but thats the thing, theyre based on them theyre not exact copies therefore my point is made

Seriously I'm 19 years old and since i was three ive played every great sonic game (including sonic spinball) for the genesis and later and it used to be Dr. Robotnik. Changed it because sega is stupid but in the shows it showed that eggmans great grandfather was Dr. Robotnik who created Shadow. It's weird but idk which story line to follow, the shows or the games

Wrong, it's the same character. The Japanese always called him Eggman, Robotnik is a name invented by the Americans. Hence in Adventure 1 & 2 he still sometimes desribes himself as Robotnik. Robotnik is his real name, Eggman is his 'supervillain' name.
Dr. Robotnik and Dr. Eggman are not the same person. They are related to each other. One is the Grandfather of the other one.

I unlocked super sonic in the xbla version and his theme music is different than the title screen and invincibility music. I'd show you but I don't have a camera to record videos hence why I have no videos on my channel lol

@Zawicki1 ._. Dude, when you set up your credit card for PSN or add points to your Wii account you are supposed to put your town and stuff, and depending on the service, your address. So they would already have it ._.

It isn't even possible to get 50 rings... Or the emeralds... It would be nice to play as him at ANY time, instead of 50 rings. They could at least have a cheat code to get rings, so then you could have 50 to transform, and 50 at the end of a level. Does this have that debug mode thing like the other sonics?
Robotnik is his real name. Eggman is just a nickname the characters give him since he is practically shaped like an egg, probably to anger the scientist and stuff. Cockiness, y'know?
Besides, Eggman was the original Japanese name for him.

I got both the iPod version and xbla version and both are enjoyable. If you want an easier time beating the special stages then get the xbla version because it's a lot easier IMO. Not sure about the wii ware it psn versions though.

@MamaLuigiBarrelRoll super sonic can fly in old ones too like in 1:04 and in s3ak final stage.... maybe in episode 3 there will be a flying final stage.

@Endrance88 Actually, DBZ and Sonic was made around the same time, so truely, DBZ could've ripped off of Sonic. Or Sonic ripped off DBZ. Or they both had the same concept at the same time.

@Exio15 Just keep practising learning the layout and getting hang of the special stage, once u do you go through it with ease, trust me, I have all 7 :D

@yougotnopancakemix18 Well, I've played the game some more, and it is easy to get the 50 rings, but the final chaos emerald stage is kind of hard. I'm just sick of going through an entire level before I have a chance to retry the emerald stage.
How do you find the chaos emeralds???

if there is any noobs out there u have to collect 50 rings at the end of any level and get the big ring and do the special stage. this 7 times and u will have super sonic good luck
