It’s very frustrating as a health care provider
I agree. I’m a healthcare professional, and I also had a life saving abortion! I cannot believe unqualified people are dictating medical care for women that goes against ALL BEST PRACTICES!! They should really be charged for practicing medicine without a medical license and board-certification (expertise). We wouldn’t go to a fast food cashier for cardiovascular disease medical care, for these same damn reasons!!! Women are being treated as if our lives do not matter!!!!
Doctors should leave these states. I realize that might feel like abandoning their patients but remember that it is state legislatures that are responsible. Anyway, more and more women are beginning to move out of red states as well for their child-bearing years.
@@robertnoel642 yes, sadly that is the sacrifice women and families are making in the 21st century! We are actually moving to Ontario, Canada, very soon, and this was one of the main reasons.
When I was 17 years old, in Florida, I found myself unexpectedly pregnant. My ex who was my first boyfriend and forced himself on me, became very abusive emotionally and physically to me. I tried to leave him multiple times, but he threatened my life. The day he tried to hit me with brass knuckles, I decided to have an abortion. Over 16 years later, I’m so thankful and grateful I had the ability to choose the best decision for my HEALTH, safety, and well-being. I needed my parents approval, but I did try to cause an abortion before I told my parents. My first attempt to cause an UNSAFE abortion didn’t work, but I would NOT have stopped trying, even if it risked my life!!! The facts are, abortions happen NO MATTER if it’s legal or not, the only difference is abortions by healthcare providers are a SAFE option!! I’m a firm believer, as a healthcare provider myself now, that we need to allow HCP to decide what healthcare needs women and girls need BASED ON CREDIBLE RESEARCH, NOT POLITICIANS WHO ARE NOT DOCTORS!!

The likelihood that her and her spouse voted to have her and other women's rights taken away in life or death situations such as this, leaves many unsympathetic to her story. Also just because you don't believe in something does not mean that has to be the guiding principle for everyone elses life.
5:42 she says that she personally doesn’t believe in abortion, present, tense, after she’s had one. So, which is it? Do you believe in a procedure that was performed on you? Or do you not? Do you believe it’s OK for you even though you don’t believe in it? Do you believe it it’s OK for you but it’s not OK in general?
I've always heard "I wouldn't get an abortion, but I think other women should be able to." She specifically said she didn't think about it for herself, so that's how I took it.

Do the idiots who say things like this actually listen to these stories? Or are they really just that heartless? It's disturbing that someone could watch a video about a very much wanted pregnancy gone south and say, well you shouldn't have been so irresponsible and gotten pregnant. Disgusting.
