Je revoie mes parents avec la TSF (poste de radio) écouter tous ces chanteurs de l'époque, (Charles Trenet, Maurice Chevalier, Edith Piaf...) et mon père le matin se raser dans la cuisine (pas de salle de bain) la cuisinière au charbon, le plat qui mijotait dessus pendant des heures et qui embaumait tout l'appartement...Que de beaux souvenirs, une enfance très très simple, voir même pauvre, mais des bribes de ces souvenirs me rendent nostalgique d'une époque révolue où nous étions heureux de pas grand chose...j'ai le souvenir de cette même époque où ma mamie m'avait apporté une dizaine de chapeaux de déguisement de toutes sortes (j'avais 2/3 ans), comme je les ai aimé ces chapeaux, il y avait le chapeau "bibi" avec sa voilette, le cowboy, la capeline, un avec une plume...bref, un bonheur que j'ai gardé des années!!! Nous avons eu des Noël sans cadeau et sans sapin, mais nous avions l'amour...et dans l'année quand il y avait un peu plus d'argent, le cadeau était un miracle que nous savions apprécier et dont nous prenions soin...Nous avons toujours eu à manger et des vêtements sur le dos, mais pas de superflu...
Je vous comprends très bien! J'habitais Paris avec mes parents mon père et moi allions chercher le charbon à la cave et l'on savait que l'hiver approchait lorsque les torchons étaient raidis par le froid suspendus à la fenêtre de la cuisine! Je crois qu'on était beaucoup moins exigeants !

Un régal intemporel, Ménilmontant est une chanson éternelle
"Et dans ma tête, y a des souvenirs jamais perdus, un soir d'hiver, une musique, des yeux très doux, les tiens maman" je pense que c'est mon passage préféré, j'ai le coeur empli de tendresse et de nostalgie avec ces mots, je n'ai que 20 ans mais Charles Trenet a fait partit de mes plus beaux moments de mon enfance ☺️

Cela évoque une France qu'on aimait .Pas celle d'aujourd'hui.
Jai mis longtemps a aimer cette chanson. Je trouvait le début trop long, trop répétitif. Et puis à force de tomber dessus par hasard elle ma plu d eplus en plus et aujourd'hui je suis content quand je l'entends !

Malheureusement surnommé « le Fou chantant », il est l'auteur de près de mille chansons à l'inspiration vraiment poétique et pls encore, dont certaines, comme La Mer, Y'a d'la joie, L'Âme des poètes, et bien sur Ménilmontant ou encore Douce France, ce qui demeurent des succès populaires intemporels, au-delà même de la francophonie.
