How long should it last? Mine dies in minutes with gps on 😢
Mine last between 3 to 5 days depending on usage. Do you have the BME model?

Are you happy with the RAK wireless solar encloser?
It is a good starting point. I modified mine to support an external antenna, and I am much happier. Also, in Washington state, I found the solar panel insufficient in the fall and winter months.
Would it be better to print a riser ring and use it with the existing backplate? You can even add in gasket/o-ring grooves to make it water resistant.
Good point! I have played around with some free CAD software, but I am not good at designing my own yet. 2024 goals!
The stock backplate is not water resistant. The M3 screws and the little rectangle in the middle are all through-holes.
