Ah, ok, thank you! I was overthinking it. I just wonder how to deal with if the players go somewhere and the thing isn't there, then they do a card reading that puts it where they've already been and don't have a reason to go back... but I guess the little card reading text would tip them off.. and they would just be left wondering why the item wasn't there last time they were there.
@@Noob_DnD_Dad that is a fair concern. The good news is there’s only a couple of places they would reasonably go to that’s in the card reading. In that situation though you could just keep it as it was or simply redo it if they have already been there
@@Noob_DnD_Dad Also a word of advice is redrawing a treasure location if more than one end up in chapter 4. That is the castle and if 2 or more treasures are there and as the final fight is also there it can discourage exploration
That’s a pretty fun way to set up a campaign. I got to convince some people to play D&D.
Start with the vulnerable ones
The players got pretty good luck aside from strahd’s final confrontation. And yes a in game card reading would supersede this as written

@orlando71434 aw, I like that... and re-draw! OR! I could remove the other cards of where they've been so it is not a choice anymore....
@@Noob_DnD_Dad good idea, that would definitely work better for immersion
