I'm 5'9" and 200, got the medium/large size and it's too snug with the rib connectors on the shortest setting. Requesting a return to get the next size up, which should fit just right...
Hey there Chase, I'm from Europe, and that's why I haven't bought it from your store. But Yeah, thanks for your channel and your videos I bought one. Right now I really hope it will fit nice with my Alpinestars BNS Tech-2 Neck Protector, and with Alpinestars Bionic Pro Elbow Protectors, because Acerbis 3.0 didn`t fit with the Astar neckbrace.
They are both very comparable. The A-10 has a little more coverage down the arm. I do think that the 6.5 will last longer. The foam that Leatt uses underneath the plastic just feels like it's a little higher quality and will last longer. Aside from that, both are great options. - Chase
I have this and like it! it is a little bulky but slimmer than other full CE-2 options such as the Forcefield EK which I previously had and sold. only downside is finding comfy elbow-guards to pair it with! Also for those interested, It is very light - weighing in on my scales at 1.6kg in XXL
@@PointyNips hey, I went with the Leatt 6.5 elbow protectors.. but I had to stop using them as they’d give me too much arm pump and would be too tight around my bicep. I’ve bought a Leatt Airflex body protector now and will likely just use my A-10 over the top of the base layer of that for elbow protection, for rides that need this beefy level of protection. For technical enduro stuff, I’m just using the Leatt Airflex which is supremely comfy, cooler and more comfortable
At the very top of the back piece there is a little slot with a tab inside you need to press on. A flat blade screwdriver will work. Let me know if you need more help. - Chase
The hard plastic on the shoulder guard damages the ligaments in it. If your shoulders are bigger than plastic, take them off. I damaged ligaments in two shoulders before I realized what was wrong
The XS/S should fit riders 4'8" to 5'4" according to Alpinestars size guide. They also give a chest measurement of 34.6" to 38.5" and a torso height of 15" to 17". We should have this chart on the product page soon for you to see how and where to get these measurements. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/alpinestars-a-10-v2-full-roost-deflector-p
Not sure what size i need,im 5.7 at 190,i don't have a motorcycle but i do want protection when im riding my wolf king gtr, its a e-scooter that does 67mph , have alpinestar star jacket but its way to hot to wear, so i was thinking something like this,so what size would you recommend and what elbow pads that will work with this.i did think about the wicked stock armor shirt since it does have elbow pads in it but I know the protection is not enough going this fast on a escooter like I have I do where full face motorcycle helmet and motorcycle gloves with jeans and knee protection, but it gets hot here in summer, and the alpinestar jacket is just to much for this heat.
Just based on your height you'd be a M/L. Alpinestars does have their own fitment guide on their website, measuring chest size and such. I would take a look into that to get the exact size you need. As far as elbow guards go, the Leatt 3DF 6.5 elbow guards would be a great option.
Hello Rocky Mountain team and community! I have this basic doubt about riding gear but can't find good information, can you help me? What about wearing a chest protector (As Alpinestar A6 or A10) riding a Big Trail in long distances (Example, Andes mountains 4000 miles, 80% on road, 20% off road). I'm trying to solve the problem of the heat in the desert, fresh jackets offer not enough protection and hard jackets (event with the vents open) are extremely hot. The solution could be wearing an A6 + Elbow guard (example), and alternate between 2 jackets according the climate (without the inside pocket protectors) . What do you think about it? Thanks a lot, sorry by the lil' english, I'm writing from Brazil. Tnx!
Your reviews are very helpful. I'm new to this sport. Would a person also want to wear elbow protection with this setup and if so is there enough room to do that? Cheers from Denver Colorado
We're glad you're liking our videos! You should have no problem wearing elbow guards with this roost deflector if you get something like the Leatt 3DF 6.0 or EVS Flex Lite that use a more low profile sleeve design.
I would get medium large. I am a 150lb, 5’8 woman and the xs/s arm straps are a little tight on my skinny woman arms (even at the loosest hook setting)
Check out the Alpinestars A-10 V2 Full Roost Deflector: rmatvmc.link/alpinestars-a-10-v2-roost-roost-deflector
Can you remove the side rib protector as per the A1 Pro and just have a side strap ?
I dig the hard plastic for the rib protection as well.
Been wearing an a10 for 5 years in edible protection and lots of adjustability. Great option
A10 v1?

Its has better protection then leatt 6.5 ?

@@rmatvmc thank you
Will this work with the leatt neck brace?
Following ...
Is it right size on the alpinestars site? Because on the tag it’s M/L is 173-185cm ( 5.8 -6.1).
Seems very similar to the older model , would you rather get the first version vs this one? They're at a discounted rate at the moment.
If I want to add elbow protection, can I do it using this setup?
since they showed you can remove the extra protection piece below the shoulder pads I would say yes
Gosh dang it, I just bought the A-6 but I wanted a hard shoulder pad?
If you haven't ridden in it yet, you can send it back in new, unused condition. We'll give you free shipping on your first exchange!
@@rmatvmc thanks but I have ridden with it already.
Can i ware it under my touring jacket because i ride on roads but like to be extra safe
If your jacket has enough room to wear this underneath, there's no reason you can't do that.

The hard plastic on the shoulder guard damages the ligaments in it. If your shoulders are bigger than plastic, take them off. I damaged ligaments in two shoulders before I realized what was wrong
did it happen by the pressure the plastic applied on your ligaments?
@ yes
You say it's light but what is light? Please let me know the weight of the XL/2XL if possible.
Which would be better for hot weather? This or Fox Baseframe Pro with D30?
The A-10 V2 for sure. It lets you choose your own base layer.
Which is bulkier under the jersey - the A10 or the Leatt 6.5? Thanks man!
I haven't put them on back-to-back, but if I was a guessing man, I would say that the A10 is going to be more low profile than the 6.5. - Chase
