You should do a Top five things parents should know before getting a reptile, you could include stuff about how beardies aren’t perfect beginner species, or how terrarium kits aren’t always the best idea, stuff like that!
Please do a Blue vs. Pink Skink video! I’ve never actually heard of a Pink-Tongued Skink and now I’m crazy curious! So pretty please 🙏🏻 do a video! If it helps? I just got evacuated from my house here in California because of the fire so me and my reptiles (who I had to sneak into the hotel LOL 😆) are totally bored! We are stuck in a tiny hotel room, hoping our house doesn’t burn down! Loved the video today! I really needed the distraction! And my Bearded Dragon “Waffle” always likes watching your videos!
I love how crested geckos feel, and they're so cute! My favorite arboreal lizard that I handle at work is probably either the crested gecko or prehensile-tailed skink. The PT skink is challenging to handle sometimes, but he's just so cool!
I'd love to see a comparison video between the two skinks! the pink tongued skink is actually one on my list of must-haves when I have the space and ability to care for it
Great video - I love how you were using a pen lid to stir the Repashy! The only honourable mention I would add to MY list is that my redfoot tortoise, Agatha, loves to climb anything and everything she can...not sure why she thinks she's arboreal...she's adorably weird:)
As always, great video and content. I am I love with my new Crested Gecko and never wanted one until seeing your videos in them. Also, it was great to hear you mention Bioactive setups several times. That is all I set up and I think they are a fantastic way to simulate their natural environment.
Please do a video on Pink Tongue vs Blue Tongue Skinks!! I’ve actually been on a waitlist for a few months for a PTS, and I’m finally getting my bub on Wednesday. Would love to see more content on them!
My favorite arboreal lizard that I've kept is my two prehensile tailed skinks Oliver and Harriet. They're really smart, will help each other shed, and are graceful with their movements and mine love being handled. They're probably my favorite to handle and show to new people, even with their super sharp claws that are enormous compared to the claws of my blue tongue.
i have a pink tongued skink and he's a great little guy, he's only 3 months old and they can be quite skittish when they're young but they do calm down with age and i'm so excited for him to get bigger
Hi! I just wanted to say that I love pink tongues so any content on them would be much appreciated!! They're so underrated. Honestly when I think of getting a lizard I was thinking of either a crestie or a pink tongue so I'm glad both made the list! They're so adorable and I love the way how pink tongues go blelele. So cute ^^ I'm actually going bioactive for my ball python and I've been loving planning for it, so I was thinking whatever I get next to go bioactive for it as well! I love bioactive enclosures! You've made me consider day geckos though, I didn't know they could eat powdered diets as well! My parents sadly don't want insects in the house which is the only reason I haven't gotten a pink tongue. Gonna have to do more research on that. I also did not know beardies were semi arboreal! I've never kept one and I don't plan to for a while (they're awesome I just don't have the time/space rn) so that factoid was interesting! Anyway thanks for the awesome vid! :)
I'm looking into getting a pink tongued skink and I'd love to see videos about setting up a bioactive enclosure for them or other care. Keep up the great work, your videos are informative and interesting!
One of my coworker’s had a creatie that escaped from his enclosure and got run over by her desk chair. In his honor I’m getting a crestie and naming them Smush
I kind of hate that it is viewed as 'good' to keep crested geckos in 45x45x60 Exos. That's what my girl came in but it became clear to me that she needed more space. I picked up a second hand 4ft x 1.5ft x 4ft glass vivarium, planted it all up, lots of vines and branches for her to navigate around and she uses every inch of it. I guess if the gecko is out of the vivarium for hours every day, a small viv might be OK. But if you don't plan on handling the animal, if they're not getting exercise anywhere else, it is far too small. These animals have whole islands to themselves. Sticking them in small boxes is not OK.
To add to the crested gecko love, they come in such beautiful colors and morphs and their genetics are super cool because they are so unpredictable. They’re also adorable. They’re my all-time favorite reptile I own nine of them
One arboreal reptile that its pretty cool is the Texas spiny lizard. They're usually found in trees or sometimes you can see them running around on the ground. There's a wild one that lives in a tree in my apartment complex that I sometimes see on the ground sometimes. I've tried to catch him for a photo but he always runs off. They're pretty cool looking, they're scales are colored to be camouflaged on tree bark and males have patches of blue scales on their sides.
I just got my baby Pink Tongue 20 days ago as my first lizard and I'm definitely in love with it. I'll have to give it a treat for winning the arboreal lizard competition! I'm using the ReptileKages 36x18x30 and it seems to be a good fit.
Can you do an entire video on gargoyles? They seem to only get a passing mention when you're talking about cresteds (unless you do have a garg video and I missed it!)
I love all of your videos. I just wanted to add that you can keep Mexican Alligator lizards in a cohad situation. I keep a Trio together one male and two females
I think it would be a cool idea if you did top list of different skink species, along blue tongue skinks I’ve also been very fond of five banded skinks aswell as crocodile skinks, it seems every month I learn of a new species of skink, today I learned about pink tongue skinks and they are gorgeous, aswell with crested geckos I find they are amazing lizards to show off to people with a fear of reptiles as everyone I’ve shown tangie my crestie has fallen in love with how social he is with people and how curious he is when I bring home a new plant/piece of decor
I'd love more folks do content on Emerald Swifts or Sceloporus in general. Unfortunately they are mostly wild caught but apparenlty they aren't too difficult to breed in captivity. I'd also love to help with information or content of Sceloporus if you'd like some (very random) help :D
Awesome! Thanks for the video! Definitely have to do a blue vs pink tongue. I have actually been recently looking into pink tongues they are pretty awesome creatures. Anyway, have a great night
when I picked up my rattlesnake on Sunday, my hubbs and I got two impulse animals lol we got a giant day gecko, and another crestie. We already had tanks set up, so we figured why not? lol
Great video. I recently acquired a pair of European grass snakes (Natrix natrix), a relative of the American water and garter snakes. To my surprise they have the best personality of any colubrid I have kept (far better than both garters and corn snakes). Do you know if there is any interest of grass snakes in the hobby in North America, or is it rare outside European collections?
Ik in the US either rough or smooth green snakes are common. I did not know there was a European kind I wonder if they are related closely to the North Americans.
Jack Johnson, the American green snakes are more closely related to rat snakes than to garter, water, and grass snakes. The grass snakes are also semi aquatic just like garters, so I would describe Natrix as a European equivalent to garters.
Guy I have had experience with common garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis). Handling of these snakes was not really a fulfilling experience, they tended become very stressed as they were taken out and frequently musked or played dead. The grass snakes in contrast (even though they can display both behaviours) are far more sociable and handling them is a better experience. It also acts different handling than other colubrids, I would describe it a mix between a corn snake and a children’s python.
let's do a bts vs. pts. i have both of types. my pair of pts purchased as hatchlings, they were proven this early summer. the female produced 2 skinklets.

A lot of gecko's on the list. I do miss the Green Waterdragon on this list. They're easy to handle, won't (try to) harm you and they don't drop their tails. They are also used to jump from pretty high spots, so you don't have to worry when they jump off your shoulder. Only downside: they need a pretty big vivarium (bigger than most lizards on this list). They also need a place to swim + pump and filter (they prefer to shit in the water). Also, the vivarium needs to be deep enough because they may jump against the glass and harm their nose. Upside of the vivarium: It's a rainforest vivarium and when you open it you'll smell the rainforest (bearded dragons really have a nasty smell when you open their vivarium).
You should do a Top five things parents should know before getting a reptile, you could include stuff about how beardies aren’t perfect beginner species, or how terrarium kits aren’t always the best idea, stuff like that!
I absolutely agree

IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A VIDEO WHERE YOU MENTION ABRONIA AND YOU FINALLY DID.
I see now. You put captions on your videos to clarify what you say and to make corrections to what you said. Awesome.
I finally got a pink tongue skink. I put two cameras on her enclosure. So cool to watch. She is not quite 3 months old so not ready to be handled yet.
My beardie is almost TOTALLY arboreal. LOVES branches!
very cool
I’d be very interested in seeing a comparison between blue and pink tongue skinks!

I need to get myself a pinkie skink! My blue tongue is named “grump” as in he’s always grumpy. He’s only in a good mood after food.
Cresties are lovely.. sweet disposition, easy care and fun to play with.. what’s not to like 😀
Can’t wait to watch this, it’s currently 1am here so I’ll be up bright and early ☺️
hope you enjoy it!
I did
Yes. Comparison videos are cool

Do the BTS vs PTS video!
I will
At first I read blue Tongue skink (bts) as the k-pop band

You should do a video on reptiles that need the small enclosures
Crested may be what people think are boring but l really like them. Gosh l would love anyone of them.

Nice job man

Adam: anything u think I missed
Me: G A R G O Y L E
I kinda included them with cresties
Oh man I want a Crested gecko friend now lol 🙌🏻
they are amazing!!!
My crested gecko hasn't dropped his tail yet(knock on wood). Every time someone says crested geckos drop their tails' super easily I get anxiety...
if it happens it happens
A lot of gecko's on the list. I do miss the Green Waterdragon on this list. They're easy to handle, won't (try to) harm you and they don't drop their tails. They are also used to jump from pretty high spots, so you don't have to worry when they jump off your shoulder. Only downside: they need a pretty big vivarium (bigger than most lizards on this list). They also need a place to swim + pump and filter (they prefer to shit in the water). Also, the vivarium needs to be deep enough because they may jump against the glass and harm their nose.
