Clicked on the video because of the cute green lizard. Stayed because of the pure LOVE pouring out of this guy over these. Basically I want to be a skink now.
Aw, I felt that!!! How long have you got them? Are you keeping them together? If they are together, maybe they won't warm up to humans (kinda like birds). I've got mine for approx. 7 months and she's only just starting to get used to me 😅
Most people don’t keep BTS together because they absolutely hate each other. It’s more that they’ll kill their tank mate rather than them not warming up to you. Outside of putting a male and a female together for breeding purposes, two BTS in the same enclosure is never a good idea. No matter if it’s a female female or male female housed together, they will fight, often to the death. Two males housed together will of course try to kill one another regardless of what you do.
@Anonymous TheGreatVknowsall Perhaps the Blue Toneged skinks are not in tge same enclousure? Just because she have 2 BTS it do not mean they are in the exact same enclousure.
Happy Saturday from your girl behind the camera! 💁♀️📷 As you can tell, I fell IN LOVE with these beauties 😍 They have so much personality packed into those pocket sized bodies. The Emerald Tree Skink is, without a doubt, the perfect pet lizard for me. Hope y'all have a great week! ✌🏼😁💋

The Bio Dude has lots of these guys and they are all captive bred! I got to visit one breeding group at their store in Houston and they were ALL up at the front and excited to see people
I've been waiting for this video! I picked up one of these guys at an expo, and I have not been disappointed. These guys are incredible display animals! With regular handling they can tame down, but honestly, as Clint said, even without handling them they are so entertaining. Definitely a very underrated skink. They utilize every inch of their enclosure, mine loves climbing on the screen lid, foam background, cork bark, and burrowing under sphagnum moss at night to sleep. They appreciate vines and wood of all diameters and textures. If you put something in their enclosure, they will use it. I have mine in an 18x18x24 exo terra enclosure. Front opening cages are definitely the way to go with these guys. I also recommend placing the cage by somewhere you will sit or spend a lot of time; I have my skink's tank next to a chair and he will come over and visit me often when sitting in it. If you ever see these guys at an expo, I highly recommend them!
Well I’ve seen this video a million times and three years later Clint has made these so popular the availability score should be 1 I’ll get my hands on some one day

I came home with a male and a female and I'm hoping to start up my own little brood of these amazing fellows. They are so fearless, curious and active in their enclosure and it's absolutely so rad, they're quickly becoming my favorite reptile.
I have a colony of 3(2f, 1m), and I have them in a 150 gallon Paludarium-like enclosure. 1 foot of it has water that barely goes over the gravel and the divider is covered in a creeping vine and I use a mini water pump under the gravel, some pvc covered in stones to filter the water, as well as to create a nice little waterfall effect, and it works great for them and I don't need to do water changes but I still replace some of it every week and the water simply isn't deep enough for them to drown and it helps keep a higher humidity, even with a mesh lid for airflow. They love the water section as much as they love the cliffside wall I built for them. These skinks are awesome and I whole heartedly recommend them.

I THINK I FOUND A BETTER PET LIZARD! You have to do a video on the Schneider’s skink! 1. Not as small. 2. Not as skittish 3. Longer lifespan. 4. Still very friendly!
Clint, are you spying on me? I’ve been looking for a smallish green lizard to live in a large paludarium. Well you made this video, and a week of research later, it’ll be here in 2 days. (I’m starting with one then I’ll add on) I’m so excited!!! They’re literally exactly what I’ve been looking for!
I bought 2 at a show , rough caught , one passed away , but the one I have is great , does all you have said . Jumps out on me , eats from my hand , smiles all the time
I used to keep and breed them for a few years - about 7 years ago now. Now looking back I think they were some of the best of all of my pet lizards, definitely in the top five. :) You're right, they are amazing. And yes, they aren't difficult to breed at all. I'd warn against keeping them in groups though, I had a male and two females, and the bigger female kept bullying the smaller one, to the extent of biting off the end of her tail. I had to separate them, obviously. Needless to say you should always separate the young (better still when they are eggs -but those aren't always easy to find) from the adults or else the 'kids' will most certainly get eaten or injured. One great thing about this species is that it's easy to tell their gender even at a pretty young age (males have bright yellow pads on their hind 'feet' - kind of like yellow 'heels') - which is a blessing if you've ever tried to determine the gender of a skink or in lizards in general.
Skinks are my favorite reptile, and one of my favorite animals on the Earth! There's nothing quite like a skink, and you're right, they have quite a bit of character. Every skink I've ever had is like an impressive and ferocious little dinosaur, but at the same time very very cute. And so pretty! They're like living breathing gemstones!
Theres an advert from a breeder not far from me in Yorkshire who is selling captive bred emerald tree skinks at 10 months old for 100 pounds each! This is tragic for me as I dont currently have the room for an active lizard enclosure and Ive not moved out due to corona essentially shutting down university life here in Britain. This is such an oppertunity aswell as you say they dont show up captive bred often! I hope somebody picks them up and gains joy out of them. Or perhaps I might just finally muster the energy to get rid of the sheer level of junk and clutter in my bedroom to make space for a skinky housemate. They are absolutely incredible little guys
Hey Clint ! I just wanted to say that this is by far my favorite Chanel ! Highly educational and fun. This is how I discovered my love for reptiles. I currently have a crested gecko and bearded dragon. I really think that RUclips needs more channels like this. Thanks !
When i went to bicol (part of the philippines) for a 1 week vacation, i saw a bunch of these guys just hanging around a jackfruit tree close to our house, i even saw tokay geckos and flying lizards there. It was the best day in my life, just to see those animals in their native habitats make me so happy and grateful that they are in this world. I wanna keep an emerald tree skink someday if possible
Since watching this video the first time , a few weeks ago, it’s all I’ve been researching. Absolutely fell in love 😍 can’t wait to find a breeding pair to bring home . Thank you so much Clint , we prob wouldn’t have known this sweet awesome lizard even existed without your channel . I absolutely Adore the 2 you guys ended up getting with the blueish tones faces and really hope to eventually find 2 like them... or maybe even buy a pair from you once you start breeding them
Hey clint, It might be hard to find. However, a video about the yellow spotted climbing toad would be amazing . I was super stoked about your sarasinorum gecko video. thank you for the reptile content
These guys are reminding me of the Emerald grass lizzard, and to be honest you should cover them too if you get the chance (if you did i will watch it right away lol), they are really fun to watch, i saw one swing on its tail on a branch once and i thought it was really unique and awesome
I just watched your most recent video on these lil darlings. They are adorable. I think they should get a 5 on everything but that's just me. Now I have to decide if I want a blue tongue skink or a green tree stain or a pair of jumping spiders. Clint you are opening my eyes and my mind to all different sorts of animals that I could have as pets and for that I thank you.
Clint, I think you've convinced me. My corn snake Isis (that name didn't age well) passed away last year, and I'm about ready for a new pet. I was leaning towards cresties, but I've had rats before and lizards that act like rats sounds perfect. Thanks!

It was the best day in my life, just to see those animals in their native habitats make me so happy and grateful that they are in this world. I wanna keep an emerald tree skink someday if possible
What a pretty Skinks. Love active they look
Just discovered this channel and immediately went for this vid. Emerald tree skinks are my second favourite reptile after fire skinks
wow they are adorable! definitely some crossover between lizards and goats cause I love both so much too :)
I absolutely Adore the 2 you guys ended up getting with the blueish tones faces and really hope to eventually find 2 like them... or maybe even buy a pair from you once you start breeding them
I think this is the most beautiful lizard you have presented to us. Thank you
beautiful and charming! I love those guys!
Hey clint, It might be hard to find. However, a video about the yellow spotted climbing toad would be amazing . I was super stoked about your sarasinorum gecko video. thank you for the reptile content
Can you do a video on keeping chickens. I honestly think they have real possibilities for being the best pet reptile.
Yeah, we should :)
Thanks!
They are amazingly adorable!!
Michelle almost couldn't handle it.
Great video as always Clint! Glad to see you healthy during this tough time. Hello again!
