    i hate it when contemporary wushu is paraded as traditional wushu (gongfu).

      it's normal for things to be fused but atleast they giving the credits of traditional form.

      While I agree there is some credit to the traditional form, It lack the depth of the original form.

      there's always plus minus to it.

      Honestly I think there' more minus. While I think contemporary wushu it beautiful, it lacks martial application. (beyond how to through a kick). Also, while this has a some elements that look like dog boxing, dog boxing itself is a ground fighting style and none of that seems apparent in the contemporary wushu form.

      it's choreographed. to complete encompassing 4 corners u need more travelling moves. my former instructor taught me the behind meaning of the moves n how apply them. i can say traditional are much applicable for self defense. modern are for performing arts purpose n more commercial

    modern wushu, not actual kung fu for combat
