Maybe because you arent playing it how it's meant to be played. You have a chain of command and a squad within the battalion for a reason. It's a tactical milsim with missions and objectives. You must use real world military tactics in order to achieve your goals and to communicate between the other squads. If you treat it like battlefield your doing it wrong
The helmet sticks out more because of its shape. A perfectly round surface in a natural environment is very eye catching because of how our human mind takes in information. which is why it's best to line your helmet with natural foliage that matches the environment

To counter this you have break up your silhouette, to have softer lines in the shape of your body. This is why ghillie suits that might not even be fully tuned to their respective environments are still effective at range
Squad is fun! It’s just hard finding a sever that isn’t treating it like we’re all legit outside the wire running a real opp. I’m all for taking it serious. But some folks in this game take it way too far.

I have a 2080ti and play in 1440p as well. I upgraded my cpu from a Ryzen 3700x to the 5800x, and got 20-30 fps more on ultra. Same with EFT. This game loves single performance.
Serious question,how do you deal with voice chat on stream? I just started playing and streaming this game last night and the prox chat during staging is beyond toxic and a huge problem for twitch TOS.

I wish I had most of your squad leaders when I play. Not only do I have to play on low settings, I always seem to be in a server with people that don't want to talk and nobody has any plans.
@@samar949 I'm newer to squad but I've picked up most things pretty quickly. I've had two really good squad leaders. One of them we still lost horribly because the other SLs and the commander were morons.

I haven't really gotten into a more mil-sim style game, is Squad easy to jump into or not really? I'm a tarkov player and looking for a mix between battlefield size and scale with more realistic gunplay and guns that are accurate and do realistic damage. At the same time i wanna just be able to jump in solo and have a good time. Thanks for any input
Squad has a really steep learning curve. Also the community in that game is some of the worst.... they try their asses off to be a mil-sim mouthbreather as possible and if u ain't doing what they want they just bitch and moan. So yeah I don't advice but give it your best shot
In any military game I play I always use the DMR. It's one of the best rifles you can use. Good for CQC and ranges up to 600yds or so. When I use rifles I never go full auto I always keep it at semiautomatic same IRL
To all those saying "Overwatch?" RUclips tagged the wrong game because it was in the title. It's Squad he's playing. Overwatch is the mission type, not the game.
I always think helmets in airsoft seem really visible. The number of times they seem to give people's location away. I guess they aren't dark because they'd then silhouette really badly. This is why I don't wear helmets in airsoft.
@LionelRichiesCrackpipe Yes, absolutely true. It's why I just stick to a camo patrol cap and one of those Russian scout suits with a big hood that really breaks up my outline if I have to hide.
At least now with a 1080ti i can play in 4k on high with a few exceptions of personal taste turned down to medium or off like bloom, and run at a solid 60, glad they optimized it as much as they have since a year ago.
I heard in your video that you got a new video card, what card did you have prior? If its better than a 1060 id be willing to buy it for a reasonable price bc I've been looking to upgrade for a while but with the scalping situation it has been near impossible to get a new card on a budget

No, each faction has different classes with set loadouts. There is no rank up or experience system.
You can see people disconnecting every once in a while right after they get shot then some poor guy in the queue loading in and taking their place

0:50 it's VRAM. My 5700XT has all 8 gigs pretty much instantly filled as soon as I load a map.
I think in your settings you may have graphic budget at infinity. Reduce that with a headroom of 2 gigs and you will be much better off.
