I'm still always impressed with the sound design in this game, will always stay my favorite and most played game on steam, followed by beat saber, or wrist killer as I like to call it.

This game is as real too live combat as it gets. I served in iraq in a army infantry unit and this game gives me anxiety sometimes lol.
Between this, and Arma 3, which one do you find more realistic and immersive?

This was my first rifle. Always fun to be at the range, listen to the pew pew of the AR's, the pow pow of the AK's. And then lil ol me, 7.62x54r short barrel.

Random video tip: for FPS videos where you're expecting that you might want to do zoomed shots, you can record two lots of footage live, but one zoomed in to about 150% scale (cropped to 2/3 so it's the same output resolution). You can then blend between them as necessary, so that you get nice high quality zoomed-in shots that are much sharper and clearer and don't suffer quite so badly from the "muddy" effect of video compression. It makes a surprising difference to the level of detail. If you record your footage with OBS you can add "--multi warning" as a command line parameter at the end of your shortcut link, which allows you to run OBS twice and record two scenes in parallel.
When you're compositing everything in Premiere/Vegas, center and scale your pre-zoomed clip to 66.6%, so that it lines up exactly with the full size clip. Set the pre-zoomed clip to 0% opacity by default so it's invisible. Then, when you do your usual zoom-in scale animation, zoom both clips in at the exact same rate and animate the opacity of the pre-zoomed shot up so that you get a seamless zoom and fade-in. You can also apply a transparency feather (similar approach to a vignette) to the pre-zoomed clip to hide any discontinuity at the edges.

I have a Barrett 50 cal and I absolutely love it. Black tip armor piercing rounds are my favorite they go through anything like butter... same with the tungsten rounds (SLAP) But they cost *$100 per round* lol

I would totally love to see a 100 man (or even 50 man) vs 1 or man sniper team game. Like have a target for Drewski he goes and kills target and has to escape and evade afterwards to an evac site.

That machine gun's bullet model around 24:00 feels like something straight up from 1998 or something, even Counter Strike Source's bullet model got more polygons than that thing, Jesus.
This game is so detailed. You can see the muzzle flash on the inside roof of your optic 😂
That rifle to be more historically accurate should have accuracy debuff when it’s used without the bayonet fixed, because fixing the bayonet took to much time and so the Russians thought why not have the bayonet fixed all the time, and so the sights on the Mosen is adjusted with the bayonet fixed all the time.
This is part of the reason people kept saying that the rifle is terribly inaccurate, because you need the bayonet fixed to actually use the sights!

Stripper clips don't work with 91/30 sniper variants. The scope is directly over the receiver and stripper clip slot.

I'm convinced the iron sights and PU scope are completely off on the mosin.
The Mosin seems quieter cuz it's a bolt action rifle and fires with the bolt closed and sealed, causing all the sound to come out the front toward the target. Semi auto rifles seem louder to the shooter cuz alot of sound comes out from the bolt opening.

I love how they made operating the mosin so slick and fast. In other games the reloading takes soooooooo long but in Squad it's perfect. I've had several Mosin Nagants IRL so don't @ me ;)

Hey Drewski, Pro-tip you can set the observe mark in the interaction menu to a key bind. (I have mine on Y ) This way you can get more accurate marks, and its quicker! Hope this helps! :)

been playing enlisted from gaijin. dday normandy invasion. sent my squad ai to the forward trench with gewer and a sniper and with my engineer i built an mg bunker thing to protect from shrapnel. fucking 174 kills........ they never made it off the beach. a second player saw my sand bag bunker and ran over to add his mg to the mix. we then placed at canons facing the spawns. we ended up close to 400 kills between us out of 1000. best ww2 game in my opinion
7 tanks knocked out before they even hit the dirt.
