Spotify is a huge brand worldwide, and for a top representative of the company to publicly call out ANYONE would be newsworthy. Especially people contracted to provide content for the company. To call out a blood royal prince, the son of beloved Princess Diana, is almost unbelievable. Then there’s the use of the blunt, harsh insult “grifters.” It’s like calling them lazy low-class thieves.
However what shocked me most of all about that remark was the LACK of repercussions the exec faced.
No walking that comment back the next day. No immediate public apology to Harry and Meghan by the exec or from Spotify. The exec was not fired. Not publicly reprimanded by Spotify. He wasn’t cancelled, no damage done to the exec’s reputation. No customer blowback, no calls to boycott Spotify.
No consequences at all, truly mindblowing!
I'm more surprised that Netflix havnt worked these two Grifters out. And wonder if they wish they hadn't made the deal with them or haven't lost peoples respect for their firm having these two being involved.

I think the problem was they saw how famous they were and how much press attention they were given and wondered why they weren't been given money compensation for it. They believed that they could monetarize that popularity. They spoke to experts that gave them values and how that could be done worldwide. However, these experts - probably American - didn't realize that most of the goodwill was due to their association with the royal family. Not on any of their own accolades. Their ego was that it was all them.

Netflix gave them a 5 years deal in 2020. So one more year left.......can they just terminate them early. They haven't generated worth 100 million viewer ratings. Instead subscribers left the streaming service for the past two years despite making the final season of the Crown. That series didnt bring back the subscribers instead it fell even further.
Many subscribers cited their reason for leaving Netflix as their association with the two grifters.

I had a great deal of sympathy for William & Harry after the loss of their mother. But at some point you need to stop using it as an excuse for not paving a productive path in life & even more so with H as there were resources & connections that would have allowed he to do or become almost anything he wanted. William grew up! My husband lost his father at 14, did not have royal resources at his disposal, the oldest of 4 & managed to grow up & become a successful businessman & have a wonderful family.

This whole retraction & “kill the picture” is atypical yes? The RF use words, clothes & tradition all in a very well thought out & highly strategic manner. Like others have mentioned the deplorable behaviour, which they inflicted cruelly on The late Queen and her beautiful Consort Prince Philip. They were self indulgent, totally focused on their poor victimhood lives, which by normal standards to me is unimaginable privilege. They portray themselves as blissfully happy. They have (reportedly), two healthy children one of both sexes. However, there is a fly in the ointment. The victimhood now is laughable. Not a simple word from them about how bloody lucky they are.
And where are those children? They sure don’t go on holidays with their parents, nor parks, beaches, or farmers markets. Where are their kids?

I went to the new Instagram page for this ARO and yesterday they had TONS of tagged videos showing up of people just letting them have it and calling them out on their hypocrisy. I was shocked that they were even there and had not been removed, as we all know they don’t like bad press. Today, when I looked at it, they removed all of those tags and looks like no one can tag them anymore and all the comments have been disabled. I bet whomever is funding this new “brand” is having some second thoughts now!
