    This is the best video I’ve found to explain the whole process, in a clear understandable way! Thank you so much! I’ve just made a leotard, and couldn’t find a good video to help with the elastic. Thank you, I can have a go now! 😅

    This is very helpful thank you! But I do have one question - how do I add a lining to the leotard as i've noticed a lot of materials are quite see through?

    • @coach_christa
      @coach_christa  Месяц назад

      You're welcome! Yea I have come across some fabrics that I really like but they are just so thin and see through. It's pretty easy, just cut out the same exact pattern with the lining. It will make the parts where the elastic is a little thicker, but your machine should still be able to sew it. Some adjustments to your machine or needle might need to be made, but I've done it before with no adjustment needed. Also keep in mind because it it lined it could make the parts where the elastic is a little bit tighter, if so you could adjust the elastic to be like 1/4-1/2" longer. When I have time I will try and make a video :)

    Thank you so much for the video. I wanted to make my own leotard but with a lower back, around the waist or so, does the neck elastic need to be sown all around? Like, neck and back connected.
    Sorry if there's any problems with my spelling. It's not my mother tongue 😅

      Are you talking about like a halter style neck? You'll need to alter your patterns for that. Or actually with this pattern I have ruclips.net/video/U8-MQUMxIFQ/видео.htmlsi=npNuIG-j5l3klff_ you can just make the straps really long and just not connect them in the back. You might need to make the back pattern chest a little smaller though so it doesn't slip down since you won't be connecting straps in the back.

    best way to deal with the uncomfortableness of “crotch” is to not bring any acknowledging negativity to it and remember that everyone has one 👍

    Thats just a phd: the stitches are only measured by thread count on thickness feel, for comfortablilty.
