    Very good video that gives a lot of information to a newbie like me and will help me avoid making mistakes. I love your presentation style. Can I suggest on a minor technical point on the video that you introduce a fade between the clips rather than you suddenly appearing in a different position, as in "just had to deal with a phone call."

      Hi Charles, Thank you for your comment and feedback, I personally am really pleased that the video is a great guide and is helpful as intended to be.
      I see a lot of mistakes by not only those new to the industry but those who have been doing gutter clears for years and so the video is there to advise of the what's and why's to avoid potential issues through lack of awareness.
      This particular video is an older video of ours and our style and techniques in videos have changed since then. We hope for the better. The videos are not scripted nor staged but with nerves out of the way and progression since then we hope our videos on our RUclips, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channels have moved on with the times and with the fades you mention 😊
      Any feedback or any questions, please do always let us know and thank you for your watching 😃
      Julia, GVS.

    Thanks for the video. I thought the filter had to stay in at all times. I will try it without & hope the suction is better. Also I never use the clamps on the ali poles. I find the are tight fitting without them

    • @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091
      @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091  Год назад +1

      The GVS filter is predominantly a dry use filter but it is a filter that can get wet. It must be fully dry for dry use. If you find you have a loss of suction performance, hose the sludge off the filter and continue. If there is a high quantity of water in the gutters you could remove the filter and the float valve will continue to do its job. Ensuring there is no muck around the float valve which could prohibit its job and therefore risk motor damage.
      The quick release clamps we provide for the aerospace aluminium should always be used. We introduced these to the industry many years ago having initially used nut spinners & jubilee clamps. The quick release clamps are there to prevent your poles from spinning, coming apart and from shunting. We advise they are used.

    Hi you said to remove the basket and filter out when the gutters are wet... how about if I do one job which is wet and then my next job in 15 minutes time is dry and it continues like that all day. How do I manoeuvre between keeping the filter in or taking it out for every job, that’s a bit of a pain in the ass.
    Can you give some advice on this please... as when I’m doing jobs all day I don’t have the time to wash the filter and polices in between jobs...

    • @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091
      @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091  3 года назад

      Hi, when we haven't had rain and the gutters are generally, typically dry and dusty you would need to keep your cloth filter or Hepa filter in (filter dependent on which machine you have). This will protect your motors from fine particles.
      When we've had rain and the gutters are wet, sludgy etc, you can remove the cloth filter for that reason, or if you have the Predator, remove the Hepa filter and use the blue foam filter.
      You can clean the cloth filter under a hose or low powered jet wash, the Hepa with an airline or a low powered jet wash. The blue foam filter can be washed with soapy water under a tap/hose.
      Just ensure that your cloth filter or Hepa filter, are fully dry prior to next use on dry dusty gutters.
      Hope this is helpful.

    Hi, have just bought a gvs3600 being delivered in a couple of days, re the claw nozzles would you have to use a jubilee clip to keep these in place? Also are they a necessity for the plants growing out of the downpipes or does the machine do a decent job on these anyway without the claw nozzles?

    • @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091
      @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091  2 года назад

      All of our pole kits are supplied with a nozzle securing clamp, this saves time when changing your gutter clearing tool.
      The claw is a fantastic tool for grabbing and ripping out the more stubborn vegetation, removing gutter hedgehogs (if they’re not secured in) or guards and even work great on breaking surface ice too.
      For downpipes, the gulper nozzle will hugely help as will the longer nozzles. If the vegetation in swan necks are more deeply rooted this will depend on the way this is lifted and if screws are left in the joins.

    How do you run these machines at people's property?
    Do you use a generator...or plug in at the property?

    • @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091
      @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091  3 года назад +1

      You can run these directly from mains.
      If plugging into conservatories, extensions or very old properties then they may trip but usually directly into the ring main is no issue.
      On generators if you’re running with the smaller single motor we’d recommend one with a minimum 2.7kVA, ideally 3.
      A 3000w triple we’d advise a minimum 5kVA and with the 3600w we’d advise a minimum 5.5kVA - ideally 6.5kVA.

      The reason I ask is this....are people generally okay you plugging in their mains during these times?
      Or are you best getting a generator?

    • @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091
      @guttervacuumsystemsltd4091  3 года назад

      @@Z4kYb0I That is something you would have to ask your customers referencing the pandemic. Most customers who are allowing someone to work on their property would completely understand that electricity could be required.
      A generator is used for when there is on access to electricity or if you have been called in for works when the customer is out.

    I have been using Skyvac for over 6 years now, have 3 vans equipped with them. The problem with poles sticking together is a regular occurrence. This also happens as the "join" area wears away, and they poles connect deeper. I'd be interested to find out what kind of price the poles are to buy. I purchase around 10 poles monthly to replace, also replacement vac heads.
