I love winter. Usually, bright colors and candles help to make it "warmer". Or, if bright colors around are not appreciated, then bright colors in food help. Oranges, persimmons, drinks made with bright red berries.

I would put it in the middle of the room with the back of the headboard to the door. Sitting in bed and facing the window would be lovely. Also, then you are not feeling the whole empty space. You can set up a little chair nook as well. Maybe you have that in the room already. Also then you don't see the large slanting ceiling walls. Your bed cover is lovely! 6:34
I am sorry but a lot of people get the blues in Winter.Me myself I love Winter, but I am elderly women so I don't go out much unless I need to. Plus I have grandkids that stay with me I am constantly busy baking, cleaning or rearranging Love the channel
