IMPORTANT! don't buy an audio super 8, because they don't even produce the super 8 film anymore that let's you record audio! it's a metal strip in the film itself and that's not produced anymore. record it with your phone simultaneously edit: your footage is so so nice!

Loved watching this Jess, thank you 🧡 I love how authentically you share your decisions that follow your own self integrity, I feel this in so many ways. Especially really love the quote at the end, about being patient, learning and growing in your lavender days. Needed to hear this today. To answer your question at the start; the experience that made me finally surrender. For me it was a very brutal wake up call from the universe that arrived in the form of deep body sickness. I was out of alignment with my inner self; severely burnt out and overwhelmed. It stopped me in my tracks and made me reconsider where I was putting my energy. A lot of "aha" wake up moments while recovering, and now am slowly readjusting to live more aligned with my true self. Already infinitely more balanced and flowing with what's to come. Much love and well wishes on your continued journey :)

I can’t wish I’d done it at your age since time travel is impossible 😂 but it’s nice to see a younger woman making choices that align with your highest good. Your camera might be over exposing (or the telecine). I have films I shot 24 years ago on Kodak 200 and the contrast and chroma is stronger. Generally the whole result is crisper. So maybe do a test with fixing the aperture (EE lock) a stop or two lower. You will get more of that inky look. I know most telecine places will do a one light pass. If you want to get the best (if your camera is working as it should) get a scanner or decent projector and video camera. Great vibe in these films.

Thanks for the video - I’ve just bought this camera on eBay myself. When you shoot the 200T do you use a daylight balancing filter to get those colours? I’ve ordered some 50D but not sure if it’ll be enough for the UK (probably similar weather to the PNW)

hey jess! great video I've got the same camera and put my first roll through last week. my film came back super hazy and kinda unusable i had the tungsten setting on and not daylight. i think thats the mistake i made have you ever ran a roll through with the red tungsten setting on? hoping its not my camera and just a rookie mistake thanks jess

I love the look of this whole video. I clicked on this because of the color pallet of your thumbnail, and I was so pleased that the entire video shared the same look and style. Your framing and exposure are spot on, you clearly have practiced your craft. Would you be willing to share what camera you are using? I would assume you shoot in LOG, do you create your own color grades or use a particular LUT? I'm a videographer, so I'm curious as to how you achieve this look. Keep doing what you are doing, it has such a warm, vintage feel to it.
