- In this video we review and install the Graco Extend2fit and Graco Extend2fit Platinum car seats. We chose these seats for our infant boy/girl twins based on overall safety rating, cost, and features. We were very happy with the product and found both the Graco Extend2fit and the Graco Extend2fit Platinum to be nearly identical. Finally a review that’s not sponsored and honest reviews.
Hells yeah! A review where you have real footage of baby in car seat. Big thumbs up
This was such a help. I wanted to buy this car seat and now I’m going to definitely be buying it
Y’all have the cutest family! I enjoyed this so much! Lol 💕
Thanks for sharing. We just got ours yesterday and will be installing them to our car soon! Good job fellow twin parents!😀
Thanks! Good luck 😊 xo
Your video is the 6th one I watched because I could not for the life of figure out how to loosen the straps!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Thank you ...this was a big help!
This review was very helpful. Thx guys!
Thanks for watching!
"So what is the benefit of the platinum?" "Well it's cooler." LOL. That made me laugh.
I just got the regular version for my kids to face forward.
Thanks so much for sharing this video. I've been researching a new carseat for my 8mo old daughter because she is outgrowing her infant car seat. After looking at the pros and cons my husband and I purchased the Graco Extend2fit platinum this weekend. This is so helpful because I've been searching comparisons forever LOL. Haven't installed it yet but plan to this week.
I'm so happy you found it helpful! Glad we could help! We still use the same carseats for our twins (now 2 years old) and still like them! Good luck with the installation, just make sure it is in really snug and you'll be good 👌Happy fourth of July! And congrats on your baby girl! 💕 P.S. If you are looking for workouts you can do while your daughter is napping I post new workouts every week on my channel and would love to have you join in for the sweaty fun!
Tone and Talk Car seat installed and snug and our daughter looks so much more comfortable 😀 thanks for the invite I will definitely check out your workout videos. Much needed with working, being a wife and mom. Thanks.
@@kingmomma353 Awesome! You're very welcome!! My pleasure! xoxo
Very helpful thank you!
Glad we could help!!
The extension is a bonus. Kids are very comfortable with either legs scrunches in, stretched out, any which way they want to place them. They’re flexible. :) so you can rear face till they meet height and weight
Nice and simple review guys. Keep it up👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. My daughter is 6 yo and she is using the Graco nautilus. My son is 15 months old and thinking of rear facing him for a while. And this car seat is perfect for him. Thanks for sharing guys❤️
Thank you so much for watching! We are happy to help 😃 💕
Yes rear face to the max. And this car seat does a great job with that.
My daughter hates caresses snd I have this one in the closet. I’m going to install this tommorrow lol!!
Is the platinum more comfortable than the regular? Also, is it easier to remove the cover for the platinum? Thanks
Thanks- this helped us with our own Extend2Fit! Question- what is the baby mirror you’re using in the back seat? Looks nice and we are in the market for one
Glad we could help and thanks for watching! Here is the link to the exact one we have and we love it. It's big enough, clips on in two seconds and happens to be one of the cheapest ones!
Car seat mirror- amzn.to/2kXDKb4
I noticed when you installed them make sure there isn't more than an inch wiggle room when installed at the bottom of the car seat. Nice review.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
Yup! Get your knee in the carseat and put your weight into it to get it as tight as possible 😊
Haha! I love it! My husband is going to be wondering what I'm doing sitting in my kids carseats ;)
that's what I am thinking. it's extent2fit. It's supposed to extend to make refacing longer easier and more comfortable. I haven't seen one demonstration of that feature and that's the selling point.
Also, remove the infant inserts.
Very helpful review. Just wondering how's the legroom in the front seat? Is it tight or just enough? Thanks!
We haven't found it to be a problem at all! Although, it might depend on your car because our Toyota Prius V is surprisingly roomy. Thank you so much for watching ☺️ Have a great day!
What is the use of rear position 1 ? Moving to position-1 is making the level indicator moving out of blue zone.
he love it
To get a tighter install, remove the cover from the cup holder area, pull the strap through the opening beside the cup holder. Then go to the opposite side of the tightening strap and pull while pushing down on the seat
Ohhh great ... what about when the baby needs more leg room cos my baby is running out of leg room. Don't know how to fix that
How the heck did you recline it while it was still in the car? I had to take mine out to do that to.
Do you still like the car seats? Do you recommend one over the other?
The instructions in the manual clearly say to insert the cup holders before you do anything
Guys, thanks for the video. I'm about to go out and install our extend-2-fit for our little guy. He's 10 months old and tall, so I find myself second-guessing if he needs the cushion inserts etc.
Now that you've had them for nearly a year, do you still like the fit, and do you have any new suggestions?
Hi Tom, This is Ryan (the dad) whom installed them. Overall I do like the seat. Its affordable and fits even my son whom has the body of a three year old. What I will say I don't like is that I found it hard to tighten the seat belt with the little pull strap at the bottom. Im fairly strong and it is a REAL pain sometimes. If I had to chose between the platinum which was featured vs the regular I would go with the platinum if only a few more dollars. Reason being that the clips that adhere the seat to the car offer a more convenient "car belt buckle style"cinch which makes it a hair easier if you are taking the seat out often. So if you can find something that tightens easier I would probably suggest that but if this is a common issue for all car seats then I would say this one is plenty safe and at a price I was satisfied with. Hope it helps your brother. If you or your wife ever want a laugh please subscribe to our channel. We were just in the same boat! Best of luck to you guys.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Watching your video I can see the Platinum has a couple of handy features on top of the standard Extend-2-Fit which seemed pretty loaded at the time.
We found the standard model on a pretty great sale, making the Platinum about $100 more at the time. Hard to pass up that deal, so I'll just have to put some leverage into installing it!
It should be pretty darn rare for us to move it, but your video showed me what to expect.

@@ImpetigoWoW Thanks for the support man! Yeah, we love a good deal so I totally get you. Good luck and have a great day!
How do the extenders work? It doesn't really look like there is space to expand a whole in that position and the commercial looks like it just forces the carseat into the back of the front seat.
Not sure since we have our kids upright and don't change the position. Although, I think most rear-facing carseats have that problem unless you have a huge car... ours is a small Toyota Prius haha. Thanks for watching our review!
Hi q I want to get this for my child shes at 19lbs because her infant car seat is really tight,I can’t find anywhere what weight they have to be at least
Is the platinum bigger than the regular?
Nice video just did not point out that the seats need to leveled and the tether isn't latched.
Hey can you please help me I can’t seem to get the straps adjusted for my 7 month old , they are too tight
there's a little lever in the middle of the bottom edge of the carseat (where the child's legs go) and you need to pull it up and adjust the straps simultaneously. You will feel them move as soon as you lift it and give them a tug! I hope this helps 😃Also, to tighten you need to pull on the strap that comes out of the same lever and the carseat straps will automatically tighten.
If the seats are that easy to fix the recline it may need to be tighter. Maybe take them to a figher house to make sure they’re properly installed.
That’s the one I have
Can you remove the car seat from the base?
Did you end up with more or less space in the front after upgrading from the infant seats? We've got twin boys and I'm 6'7" so we're just desperate for extra space in the front!
Thanks!!!
I have a 2006 sequoia and i placed my graco in the middle (safety) so in case a tall person rides with me (im 5'1) they have leg room. It takes up about the same amount of space as the graco (i got the clicket one, combo) bucket carseat as long as the extend to fit isn't reclined all the way back, it takes up about 3 more inches if you do. But they also make a slim on if u are worried about width space, i only have one kid so not a concern for me.
So you all didn't have to take out the insert to put the kids in to buckle the harness? My husband and I STRUGGLED to get the straps loose enough to buckle our 11 month old in. We just took out the insert.
That was our problem for a while too and realized you pull the top to make it taller and you get more strap
@@ileanamontoya8777 I'll give that a try. Thanks!
I watched the video again and saw that you all had the same issue we did...one strap more slack than the other and that one pad that just refuses to stay on. Lol
Are you sure you installed it correctly ? It didn’t look like it at all
did you have an infant car seat before these?
yes we used the britax b-safe carseats because they clipped in with our stroller. If you are on the fence about getting an infant carseat, I would highly recommend splurging since you don't have to wake baby up when they are sleeping from a long car ride! it costs more but it saves you so much time and hassle with transporting them in and out of the car 😃 hope this helps! xoxo Victoria Aniela
You need to push your weight down into the seat with your hand and pull to tighten
Is this car seat safe for a newborn?
AddagallaSai Vagbharathi yes it is
Those carseats are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too loose and you have to put in the cup holders
You do know that mirror will go flying in her face if your ina an accident take it down ASAP. Nothing should be in back of her or forward no mirrors
You look like Megan Fox. You’re so pretty
Aww thank you! That's an awesome compliment! 💕❤️
