- Hello! Bonjour! We hope you enjoy this week’s video, a sort of a montage to what we’ve been up too these last couple of weeks. A little bit of variety for those who find a slower pace of life in the countryside appealing.
We wish you all well!
Have a beautiful day!

"Storks have long been associated with fertility and family growth, primarily due to their unique habit of bringing new life into the world. In several cultures, they are considered symbols of new birth or rejuvenation." How wonderful!
The brass angels are stunning! What a beautiful home !❤️
They truly were a find of a lifetime! I know they went to a good home. 💕
Loved the drone footage! Gorgeous crumbling old monument! Cooking...refinishing furniture...puppy!
Brocants....gorgeous linen...such a delightful video ❤ thank you from Canada!
We are happy to read that you appreciated the video, thank you! 💝
I've never seen that many storks in in one place! Lucky you.
Please keep looking at the village fairs and brocantes for the furniture hardware and bronze mounts -- don't be afraid to buy them as they are so fabulous there is a great market for them. Smile.
We’ll keep our eyes open! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We’ll have to share the few that we already have in place in the rental cottage. They make for great wall ornaments. P.S. Angels coming your way!
Thank you! Beautiful video! And such a great symbolism to see the storks!
Glad you enjoyed it this video, wethank you for feedback.⭐️
Again, this was beautiful to watch. I was in awe last trip in the Elsass Lorraine region, how many storks nested on all the rooftops and church towers. Never seen so many all at once with their babies in the nests. Nature at its best.
Great video thanks for sharing 👍..
Thanks for the visit!
The hutch with the plate racks are gorgeous there
Thank you friends for sharing this beautiful videos.god bless ❤from 🇺🇸
Oh thank you!!!!!
Nice finds you have done on the brocante market.
Storks.....have never seen so many at one time! How lovely! Love the plate rack and the round table for the entry area......maybe a matching pair of large chairs on either side of the mirror. Cheers!
Ah Justin is happy to get another plate rack vote. Ohhhh two side chairs would be lovely. We appreciate the suggestions. 💕
Lovely video great scenery and music
Loved the pair of brass ladies so many different places to put them a rare find
Your hallway will look lovely once done i have always wanted a large hallway for a round table but i have a long narrow victorian hallway
Thanks for sharing ❤
Do you have a console table in place in your hallway? We’ve got a round table that we’ve held on to from the previous owner, we’ll give that a go in the space and see how it feels.
I loved the format and your beautiful life!!
Thank you Kathy! ⭐️⭐️
Beautiful vlog!!!!
Thank you. 🙏
Really nice video Jeni and Justin.🌺
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for support! 🫶🫶
they looked like herons and they sometimes will roost in trees to avoid predators - when I lived on the coast on NC I was on a tidal creek and egrets ( similar) would change locations in trees on our tidal creek and we would know where weather would approach from depending on which side of the creek they settled at night
We loved reading this about the weather direction! It’s amazing how animals can help us navigate the weather in one way or another. They do look very similar but we’ve noticed that Herons have a sort of feather tail to their heads and slightly different coloring.
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
Storks were once widespread in Europe …. Plate rack must go! Sorry Justin lol loved the video 😊
Yes! Absolutely must go! 🤣 Thank you. Everyone take a vote! 🗳️
Sure wish I could beam myself to France and go brocanting with you! So many lovely things to see. Are the winged ladies meant to be curtain tiebacks? They are stunning.
They would be the most glamourous tie backs! They anchored a chandelier of some sort in a chateau,
Do you know the provenance of the plate rack? That may help you decide.
We know that it’s over hundred years old. 🫣
They must have come up from Portugal, where some places they nest on electricity poles!!
Yes we’ve seen nests on the tops of some of them around lakes. 🤣
The birds are storks.
Aren't they lovely? We see them often in other areas, especially on fields.
@@Frenchcountryfriends They’re beautiful. Storks are found throughout Lithuania, where my family is from, as well as other European countries. They spend Spring and Summer there before they migrate back to Africa. They appear in many Lithuanian tales. From a young age we’re taught that babies are brought forth by storks. 😊
Ernie's frequent feedings could indicate that "he" is feeding babies. Ernestine, perhaps?
Could be a Mamma Tit. We’re aware that some male species of birds also feed their young. Not sure about this species. Will google…
