      @@joakimtollerud2172 Yeah, maybe go for a size M. If you usually go for an L, you're probably an M in this jacket. I am 5,10" and 80kg and my size S is still quite loose fitting. I usually take a medium with the odd item being a large but the Fjällräven Greenland in a size M was huge on me.

    I have this jacket in the night sky colourway. It’s super comfortable and very warm. I’m 5’7” and a stocky build and have this in XL. Fits perfect. For info, I also have the Fjallraven Vidda Pro in XL and the Fjallraven Ovik hoodie in XL as well. It feels extremely robust and can tell it will last a lifetime. Primarily used for walking, casual wear, work etc….
    Great review. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

      @@some_developer I’m only 5’7” and I wear the XL due to my stocky frame. The arms aren’t too long for me but I don’t like short arms on jackets anyway. I prefer a bit of ‘give’. The jacket fits a fraction longer on me than on the models on the fjallraven website because I’m not over 6” and slim. If you’re a slimmer build then the jacket would drape over your frame more than mine as I have thick shoulders. If you Google the jacket, I’m sure you’ll find exact measurements somewhere. You won’t regret it. It’s a belter!!!

    Is greenland winter jacket or Skogsö more suitable for long walks, modest winter cykling and outdoor gyms? Does Skogsö become too warm?

    • @trekitt

      Both the Greenland Winter and Skogso aren't really active pieces; they're better suited to light walking and everyday use. I definitely wouldn't use them for cycling or outdoor gym use.

    would you agree that fjallraven jackets fit bit large?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 года назад

      Not on the whole, no. Some of their jackets are a larger fit, others are bang on, others are slim. Their more 'everyday' garments such as ones with Vardag in the name tend to be looser, while others designed for trekking/hiking are typically slimmer.

    I tend to get cold in almost all weather. Is this coat warm enough on its own (with just a button-down and tee underneath) to go out in 20F and below or is the pile not insulating enough?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 года назад +1

      I'd find it warm enough when moving, but if you run cold you may have to stick a fleece on underneath. Layers are always better than one big jacket; even for everyday use. Harry

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  11 месяцев назад +1

      As you wear anything made from G-1000 that has been waxed with Greenland Wax you will find it does soften. It will stiffen back up with a fresh top-up of wax, but will quickly get softer and more comfortable.

      @@Blown86 So G-1000 comes lightly pre-waxed from Fjallraven. It will soften (the Greenland Winter I bought 12 months ago is softer than the second one I just got) with time, but you can also wash it in hot water whgich will melt any of the wax out and leave you with a jacket that is as soft as G-1000 can get.

      Mike Duncan Well I think this will be too warm for summer nights. What I do have myself as well, is the Fjällräven Kaipak Jacket. It’s more like a hardshell, with no insolation other than the G-1000. But I use it for fall/spring with layers under :)

      Skogso for everyday use and countryside walking, Greenland for just everyday use. Durability will be almost identical thanks to the G-1000 outer fabric; the only difference is the Greenland is filled with down whereas the Skogso uses synthetic insulation.
